Not enough people on staff, we called ahead with a group of ten and I was able to finish my meal before the water even came out. Staff is killing this restaurant. Great food.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Great combos include eggs, omelets, pancakes or French toast. Turkey sausage is even better than the meat sausage.

I really was hoping this place was better than what I’ve experienced the past two times I’ve gone. First time, I found hair in the syrup bottle at my table. I could tell the waitress was horrified, but she just brought me a new one instead. That was whatever, I’ve dealt with worse at restaurants. The second time was so comical, I still can’t believe it happened. We got there around lunch time and immediately are told we only can get breakfast. Hm, ok. Next, as soon as we sit down, we are asked what we’d like to eat… Um, can I look at the menu? The waitress seemed a little off, anyway. Mind you, she didn’t even take our drink order… Only our food order and it wasn’t until we asked about drinks that she did and she just assumed we both wanted coffee. Way to make a guest feel rushed. Anyway, while eating my cold food, a man walks in and starts yelling that he wants his job back. I kind of felt bad for the owner… He clearly was embarrassed. It got to a point that the man wouldn’t leave so the cops showed up. I just stared at my friend like, «WHAT is wrong with today?» and laughed. I think this place has a lot of potential but they need to hire reliable employees… Not cracked out weirdos who seem so flustered about life or ones that clearly don’t know how to show up for their shift and that’s why they got fired. Also, when you advertise that you offer breakfast and lunch… Offer it!!! Don’t half a** and stop serving lunch after 1PM cause you close at 3… Isn’t lunch at that time anyway?

I want this place to be so much better! They have a great breakfast menu, but every time we try to go there for breakfast the staff just cannot get it together! More than one time we have found ourselves sitting there at the table without menus or coffee or even a greeting. Today after sitting for ten minutes without menus or coffee the waitress asked us if we were in a rush. We were a little confused by the question. The waitress told us it was going to be a long time until they could serve us… So we left! What a shame! Medford square diner– sounds promising but it’s a flop. Don’t waste your time.

Brioche french toast with coconut and mango. Nuff said… They do a great job Roth their breakfast especially anything special like the above statement. I can walk here, get a full belly at a great price and then do some shopping at CVS. Coffee is good as well which some diners fail at. Remember to feed the meter if you park in the area.

Breakfast for our party of three was very good. The Coffee was excellent, the service was good, the place was bright and clean and the food was all cooked as ordered, served hot and good sized portions. What I really loved about this Diner was that the eggs were cooked as ordered… Yahoo!!! I cannot stand to look at a runny, snotty eggs, let alone eat them and the cook here actually cooked my eggs as I ordered them… over hard… I was delighted!!! The pancakes were good, the bacon was crisp and the oatmeal was creamy. The prices are very reasonable.

Fair would be generous One cook took an hour to be served breakfast with only one other table occupied in whole place. Stay away from mushroom/egg sandwich. Pancakes were good

Excellent breakfast, nice size portions, great service, very reasonable. If you are in the area it is worth stopping in for a bite. Heard burgers are great too !

Sad to report a drop in quality of this recent find, due to new ownership–«fresh squeezed» OJ is now poured out of a Tropicana carton; condiments are hard to find, and must be requested; side of bacon now has one less slice, etc… New owner hovers over wait staff and cooks, and this place where everyone once had a smiling face, now has an edgy vibe. Still a good value — but not the same. I fear it’s headed to a decline as the owner tries to squeeze more profit out of what once was a nice value.

The food might be good but we’ll never know. Don’t think I’ll give my business to a restaurant that offers Groupons and then won’t accept them — and you shouldn’t either.

Food was good as usual. Had to beg for a coffee refill, though. They also were no longer honoring their Groupon & Living Social vouchers. If we had known that, my Dad would have rather have gone to the Country Buffet.

Nothing special here with food or service. I wish I could say I will be back again, but it was just so sub par. Bland food and the server just didn’t really seem like she wanted to be there. Always hate it when the servers act like you are such an inconvenience to them!

Greasy diner food and slow service. We went with our kids and the waitress disappeared for a long time. Not a good thing if you have kids. With all the other places to choose from in the area, will not be going back to this one.

The food here is delicious. We got a groupon and decided to check it out. I ordered the farmer’s omelette with a bagel with orange soda. The bagel was perfectly toasted and the omelette was absolutely yummy. Fresh vegetables and the cheese melted right inside. The French toast with Nutella and banana was a bit on the sweet side, but I don’t typically enjoy sweets for breakfast anyways. The waitress was a bit rude and the service was bad, but we will be back for the food.

It was clean. There was no wait. We went on a Saturday morning about 10 o’clock. Still kind of looks like the old location before these owners, but that’s okay. Was brought to the back room for two people to be seated. It was incredibly loud as it was a very large group there as well. The sound echoes. Other than that, the food was really good. Ample portions and very flavorful. Good coffee as well. Actually had fresh squeezed orange juice. Unheard of The service was a little bit slow, I’m wondering if they feel more European in style then realizing that on a Saturday or Sunday, their patrons would like to be in and out in under an hour. Just a thought. But would definitely be back

Typical diner food. I bumped down the star just because the service was kind of slow. It was not even very busy when went, so I really do not want to imagine when it’s busy. We had to remind one of the waitstaff multiple times to refill our coffee. There was also some perceived awkwardness between the cook staff and the wait staff. We saw one of the cooks angrily ring the bell multiple times for a waitress to get someone’s food. We were pretty near the open kitchen and our food was cooked quickly but it took a couple of plates piling up next to it before we got ours. Our food was luckily still hot, but it seemed like it took a bit. The food itself was pretty tasty and like I said, typical diner food. I had the Brianna combo which came with eggs your way, toast, and yogurt with granola and fruit on top. I appreciated that there were some healthy options on the menu. I think next time I’ll have to ask for plain yogurt(it came with strawberry yogurt). I got multi grain toast which was really good and the fruit on top was fresh. My husband got the lumberjack combo which was so big that he had a few leftovers to take home. The pancake part was okay in his, but the hash and eggs were really good. I like the no-frills about this place and overall the food is what is expected from a diner. I think they need to work a little on service but I would come back.

I wish I could say I was able to try the food so I will preface with, you’re definitely better off not using Eat24 to order with this diner. About 40 minutes into my wait time I received a phone call from an Ear24 representative mentioning there was a communication error with the diner, that their fax machine was down and asked if I wanted to continue the order. I was grateful for the intervention and decided to proceed, knowing it would take a bit longer. I had asked the representative(who mentioned they were on the other line with Medford Sq) if it would be possible to put a rush since I had already waited 40 minutes. They said it would be possible. An hour and a half later,(60 minutes after«second order») I chatted with Eat24 again and they said the driver had left«about 5 minutes ago» that it should«arrive shortly». I was grateful and continues to wait. Before I knew it it was a half hour even LATER and so I opted to call the diner directly. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and asked my name and where the order was going, and she assured me that the driver left«about 20 minutes ago so it should be there momentarily». I was now into almost 2 hours past my original order time. A half hour goes by(meaning it was 50 minutes since my food supposedly walked out the door. From 2 miles away.) so I call back again. I stressed that I was not trying to be a pain in the butt and the same lady(I believe her name was Diane) was expressing disbelief remembering me from a half hour before, and mentioned that the driver had already returned, that it appeared there was no order for me. She said she didn’t receive a foodler order, and asked what my order was, so I reiterated what I had ordered and that it wasn’t with foodler that I had placed with Eat24. She said they don’t work with Eat24. Then who and how was anything happening?! She apologized that she never received the order but didn’t offer any additional assistance. I contacted Eat24 again, and they called and spoke to Diane themselves(mentioning her by name) and when they reintroduced themselves she seemed to have recognized the order. So long story short, I have no idea what happened, but I was waiting 2.5 hours for an omelette and bacon, that I never got and now I have to wait 5 business days for paypal to refund my payment. It appears I’m not the first to have an issue with Medford Square Diner through Eat24, but if they’re going to be supported through their ordering service they better get their ducks in a row. I’m hoping sometime I can actually experience what sounds to be delicious food, I might just have to get out of bed one day when I’m not stuck at home sick with no groceries in order to do that.

I placed an order online an hour and twenty minutes ago and I’m still waiting for my food! I called them at the 50 minute mark and they told me the driver had just left. I called them 15 minutes later and they told me it’d be another 5 – 10 minutes. I live about a mile away from this place. It should only take 5 minutes to get the food to me. I placed my order via and the restaurant has told them twice now that it’ll be just a few minutes. I ordered a freaking burger and fries. It would have been faster for me to kill the cow and grow the potatoes myself. Do not order delivery from this place!
