Really nice hotel for the price. Clean and quiet room. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. WiFi was easy and fast too!

Spent one night here and that is all I would really want to stay. Room was clean except for underwear found by night table next to bed. It was black so if I hadn’t been trying to find a place to plug in my phone I might not have seen it. Lampshade was stained. Work going on in next room which thankfully stopped at 7pm. Hallway shows tiles missing and needs a lot of care. Remove the bench outside so people checking in aren’t being checked out by the other guests. Door to me didn’t seem to have adequate closure and I didn’t feel quite safe here. Only thing good about continental breakfast was free cereal. I don’t think I would stay for more then a night nor would I want my family to stay here. Adequate and on the cheaper end but that is about it.

For a middle of the road hotel this is a good place to stay. Rooms were clean and the free breakfast has waffles, muffins, cereal, yogurt, bagels, juice and coffee. Had good channel selection on TV. I didn’t try the wifi. The bed was the typical uncomfortable hotel bed. Worth the price.

We stayed three nights at the Baymont on Shelby Oaks. We booked through Hotwire and got a very good deal on a king room. When we arrived on Friday evening, we walked into a room that had not been made up so we called down to the front desk. The clerk brought us another set of keys and checked us into a double queen room across the hall. We were right above where people were smoking outside, so the heater drew smoke into the room all night. The floor in the bathroom was sticky, and there was toothpaste on the faucet. It was 50 degrees outside, and the A/C was set at 60. BRRRR! We turned on the heat and left for dinner. Saturday morning at breakfast there were no cups by the waffle batter dispenser, so I asked the attendant. She directed me to use a coffee cup. When the waffle was about finished, I couldn’t find any plates, and the attendant had disappeared, so I went to the front desk. They informed me that someone was on the way to the store for more plates. Why didn’t the attendant tell me there were no plates? The table tops are dark, so I didn’t see the puddle of syrup until I dipped my arm in it. After washing off my arm, I found a clean table and moved. Shortly we were accosted by a man asking for money for his fund raiser. Undaunted by our rejection, he continued around the room to every table before going back to the front desk where he hung out for a while. Clearly he had the blessing of the staff to accost us. Late in the afternoon we returned to the hotel and asked to be moved to a king room as we had originally ordered. They put us in a room with no TV remote, crumbs of dirt behind the bathroom door, and dried urine on the bottom of the toilet seat. The toilet wouldn’t flush, so I went to the front desk. They gave me a plunger to fix it myself. Sunday afternoon we returned to find our beds made, but the trash cans were still full, and no towels or Kleenex. The hotel building was quite nice. Too bad they have incompetent staff…

Our weekend at the Baymont Inn & Suites was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. First, when we checked in and went to the room, there was only one King-size bed — even though I had confirmed online that we reserved a room with 2 double beds(for 4 adults). We went down to the front desk, and asked to changed rooms(to get a room with the proper number of beds), and they obliged us. However, when we got to our new room, there were no towels — none. We went back to the front desk to request them, and were told that they had NONE. We were told to check back at the front desk in the morning, so we went to bed. Additionally, the room was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it definitely reeked of tobacco use. When we woke up and went down to check at the front desk(at the very reasonable hour of 9am), we were told that there were STILL no bath-towels, so they gave us hand-towels to use, instead! The continental breakfast was acceptable, but the seating situation in the dining room was overcrowded, and the tables were quite sticky. We left the hotel after breakfast, and spent the day touring Memphis; upon our return, late in the evening, we found that only ONE of the two beds in our room had been made, and there were STILLNOTOWELS in our room! Since we were leaving at 5am, we decided to just cut our losses and go to sleep for the night. Then at 12:45am, we were awoken by a call from the front desk, who was calling to check if we were still staying there, because they had lost track of us in their system! The only positive comment that I have about this stay was that the staff was as pleasant as possible throughout the entire ordeal, and very apologetic about the trouble we were having. However, even the pleasant staff members can’t make up for all of the hassles we had to deal with. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

Nice Hotel! When I travel, which is a lot, I enjoy staying at Hotels that are clean and comfortable. I belong to their point program so I earn free night stays. There is always comfortable beds and a great TV to watch with cable. This particular location in Memphis is located in the Bartlett area off exit 12. The pool is located outside and is rather large. There is no hot tub. The pool is located in the parking lot area with a black wrought iron fence around it. There are plenty of tables and chairs located around the pool and if you have plastic or can containers you can take beverages down there. Beer if you have it in a Red Solo Cup… lol !!! I would stay here again. We stayed here with my daughter and my niece(16 yrs old at the time) and they loved this hotel also. Great morning breakfast the next day. There are a lot of restaurants located at this exit also, so there are plenty of restaurants to eat at. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone!!!

Ok this hotel would be nice except apparently the housekeepers are lazy, there was food in our refrigerator, food in the drawers, dishes in the drawers, hair in the shower, trash under the bed and behind the side tables… this hotel wouldn’t be bad if they had decent staff. The prices are more than fair, however in this case you get what you pay for! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who’s cares about cleanliness and hygiene.

I normally don’t offer a 5 star review for a «middle of the road» hotel… But this Baymont Inn hit on all points. It was inexpensive($ 62/night). It was very clean, up to date with flat panel and HD programming. It had plenty of parking and it was a QUIET night of sleep. That’s a home run for me. Oh yeah, it had free wi-fi.
