Fish Fila

Nice little spot in the Kroger Shopping Center. The man who took my order (I’m guessing the owner) was warm and personable. I ordered the 2 piece catfish w/​2 piece shrimp. The fries were all right. The two hush puppies spot on in flavor, but could be bigger. The portion of coleslaw is on the small side, but the real reason you notice is because it tastes so good. It’s the kind of coleslaw which isn’t drowned in dressing. I wanted more. The sauce you get for the fish isn’t really needed, for the catfish is evenly seasoned and breaded (no excess in hiding the fillet under a coat of breading armor). The real star was the shrimp. If these two pieces were any bigger, they’d be prawns. They’re not butterflied, just tasty breaded and perfect. Made me want to order just the shrimp for the next time. I have to give these guys another try, for another table was eating hamburgers, and they looked good too.

Just picked up my 3 piece catfish meal, excuse me I mean 4 piece since they hooked me up. Good size portions. I was called by my first name and it was cool. Not many people in there. Got hooked up on some extra sauce also. I will definatly go back here when I get in the mood. This is a fish and chicken wings place. It was cool!
