My wife and I went here last weekend at around 7:00 pm. They had 2 customer but they were at the hooka side. The first thing my wife and I notced was the smell of tobacco smoke. So this was a big turn off to us because we are non smokers. Nothing was stopping the smoke from hooka room entering the dining area. We still seated to give this place a try. Then the waitress gave us the menu and it was completely different from the pictures in «Yelp». My wife wanted the lamb shank and when we asked for it, she replied that they have just changed their menu. They do not serve it anymore. Since the place was smoky and they did not have what we wanted, I paid for the drinks and we left. I am still surprised of the high praises. It probably does a great take out.

I was recommended to try this place by a fellow Unilocaler. I gave it a shot for lunch today. I was a bit skeptical when driving up, and even after walking in. I was greeted promptly by a hostess who took my order. It was a 10 – 15 minute wait at lunch, with no one else in the establishment, but I am always willing to wait on fresh food. I ordered the falafel pita sandwich which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The falafel was cooked perfectly with a little crust on the outside, and very moist on the inside. I was asked if I wanted it spicy, and of course I said yes. The spice added the perfect kick to it complimented with the hummus. It was served with a side of extra hummus and pickled cauliflower if I’m not mistaken, which was tasty as well. With this place being close to work I believe I might frequently visit.

Alright so I had bought a coupon through Unilocal for this establishment. I had been here once before and I enjoyed the food. Well to put into words what I was subject to was pretty awful when I gave the coupon to the server. I will say that I will probaby not go back for a while. I think have found better place to go that’s closer to me.

Very tasty kabobs. A little too much rice for my liking, but the cold salad that comes with it is very good.

We had a really good dinner tonight at Mazza. It’s nothing to look at outside or in but was clean and I noticed the last health rating was a 97. The owners and staff were very nice and answered questions helpfully. The food was fresh and was well seasoned. I particularly liked the falafel and the Jordanian tea had fresh mint added and was very good. Candace really liked the hummus and chicken kabob. We will be back for sure!

Extremely nice staff. A very clean and tidy place. The food was also excellent for a great price. They also have great hookah and replace the coals often.

I was just having a conversation with a new friend in Memphis about all of the foods that I love that I’m going to have to find new restaurants for, adding that I really had no hope in finding any of my more ‘exotic’ favorites. After finally settling into my hotel, I was walking towards the intersection for some food and I happened upon this building with a couple of cars out front. I stopped and squinted really hard, and finally realized the sign said Jordanian food! Totally shocked. Totally happy. I walk inside, grab a menu, and a lovely hostess asks me if I wanted to be seated. Considering the horrific state I’m in, I opted for take-out. Got some chicken shawarma, which comes with french fries but I asked if they could charge me more and switch out the fries for whatever small salad they have. She did switch the fries out for a salad, but she did not charge me anymore. I sat on the bench waiting for the food, and a gentleman handed me a wonderful cup of spiced espresso. He came back a few minutes later to offer another cup, which I had to decline since sleep is calling me. And a minute after that he brought out my order. The shawarma was served differently than I’ve had it… they put it in a wrap and cut it into a few pieces instead of loose over a bed of saffron rice. Which made things really easy to eat(always a plus when you’re staying in a hotel). That, the tabouleh, and the falafel were all really tasty. And yes, there were a bunch of left-overs. So glad I decided to stop and squint instead of walking to the closest fast food option! To add… Went back a couple of days later, ordered the shawarma salad and hummus. Both were awesome. The hummus was some of the best I’ve had… lots of tahini and even more lemon, just how I like it. This place is by no means cute, neither on the inside or out, but the food is super tasty, which trumps décor any day.

Awesome food /Awesome service! Driving from New Orleans back to Chicago, we found this gem near our hotel. It was late so we didn’t want to eat too heavy but we had to try this place! Allie was our waitperson that evening and she was great! If we asked her a question about the food, she knew — and if she didn’t know, she asked the chef which is great because most people would just say«I don’t know.» or make something up but she had wonderful customer service! Allie also had great suggestions off of the menu and we liked everything we ordered. Hummus, Baba Ganoug, falafel and beef shawerma. The service was amazing. We felt like we were guests in someone’s home. The cost for the amount of food was also fabulous. We had leftovers but we didn’t feel like they padded the check and gave us extra food. Decent serving sizes for good prices. This is some of the best Middle Eastern food we’ve had anywhere. I know everyone thinks of BBQ when they go to Memphis but you have to try this place also!

Carter and I ordered the Falafel and Hummus appetizers as soon as we sat down then looked at the rest of the menu while Sammy(one of the owners) went to fix those up for us. The menu is not very extensive at all but everything we ordered was amazing! When he got back we asked Sammy what his favorite entrée was and he told us to get the Shawarma’s, so I ordered the chicken and Carter ordered the beef. We told him we were going to split them so when he brought them back Sammy had already put half chicken half beef on each plate. Each dish was so beautifully presented. You could really tell they cared about everything they made. The hummus was smooth, creamy and noticeably tart.(Carter doesn’t like a lot of lemon in his hummus but he still loved theirs) the pita were so thick, warm, and fluffy that I couldn’t stop eating it lol. The Falafel was so crispy on the outside and just spicy enough to liven it up a little. Carter and I actually fought over the last falafel!() Both of the Shawarma’s were to die for and even the fries were amazingly perfect. We also got to sneak a taste of the baklava and guess what… yum! We will definitely be back!!! Apparently Sammy, his dad, and his uncle own the place. They were driving to Florida from Montréal I believe because they own restaurants there as well and they just happened upon Memphis and decided to open one here. They definitely would do more business in a location like Midtown or even East Memphis but the food here speaks for itself. Hopefully they will build their clientele so we can get a peek at some of their other creations! If you want some great falafel, Shawarma’s, and hummus please please drive over to Sycamore View and Macon and give these guys a chance to wow you!(Unfortunately I stuffed my face before remembering to take pictures but trust me it was beautiful)
