Step 3: Show up ready to have the best haircut you’ve ever had.
Step 4: TIP WELL. She deserves it.
Step 5: Tell her she’s awesome and that you love your haircut.
Basically, that’s how this relationship will go.
Long story short, I’ve never had a haircut that cost more than $ 30. Not that you can’t get a good cut for that price, but once you see Robin you will not look back.
On the recommendation of a friend, I finally called and made an appointment. First of all, Robin makes you feel like you’re her best friend. She’s enthusiastic and has such a warm personality.
When I showed up she greeted me with the same energy and enthusiasm as she did on the phone.
The studio is very nice, with lots of cool pictures that she’s taken herself, art on the walls, and music playing.
I went in with a LOT of long, thick hair, and no clue what I wanted. Robin helped me figure that out and had helpful advice. I’d grown (pun unavoidable) attached to my long hair, but I am glad I let her cut it all off.
She didn’t just wash/​cut/​blow out. She really took her time and energy shaping and layering the cut.
We had some good conversation, none of the quintessential gossipy salon variety.
I am officially a Robin Tucker fan girl. You can’t beat the genuine personality paired with real love and talent for what she’s doing.
It’s been almost a month since I had the haircut (and started this review, but couldn’t publish from my phone), and I haven’t stop receiving compliments, even from strangers. All this over a haircut? YES. All of this over a haircut.

Robin Tucker gives the best hair cut in Memphis! (no kidding) I have been going to her for years and would hate to have to use anyone else. People tell me how much they like my haircut all the time but more importantly– I love my hair. The cut is precision and perfect, she really takes her time and will listen to you! I am a fairly old woman (58) but my cut is so current and flattering, I feel it takes years off my appearance. I should post a photo here because thanks to Robin my hair rocks!

I can vouch for Robin Tucker — she does awesome hair & is oftentimes the person to do the hair for the movies when filming in Memphis. You won’t be disappointed with a visit to her.
