Xing Wang

I’ve driven by this place lots of time but never thought of trying it till seeing the reviews on Unilocal.We ordered takeout from here, I heard there might be some tables but wasn’t sure so figured to play it safe. Plenty of food which was tasty, the prices were great, easy to get there to pick up the order, a good place to return to for some more options.

Alright food horrible service. Lost my order. Kepte waiting for ever. The served people that came after me first. Will not be back.

Just picked up enough food to feed 7 or 8 people and we tried a number of dishes. Hands down the best Chinese food in Merrimack, IMO.

Best Chinese food ever !!! Everything is cooked fresh to order. It is never greasy. The house fried rice is to die for!

Not much to look at inside, but the food more than makes up for it. Had a beef and mushroom dish, the beef was succulent, not at all chewy, the sauce light and tasty, not salty. No nasty MSG headache afterward either. The steamed dumplings where very good, generously filled.
If you can get over the Styrofoam plates, and plastic forks, you’re going to enjoy the place.

This is mainly a take-​out place, with 5 tables inside. You order at the counter, and they’ll bring it over to you once it’s ready. Definitely a casual spot — not really a restaurant so much as a takeout joint with a few tables.

I went to the dry cleaners near here and figured I’d try them out for lunch. Pretty good!

First, it’s kinda warm in here. It was hot and muggy outside and it was pretty warm in here, too. They have an AC unit in the corner trying it’s hardest to cool things off, but it does a terrible job.
Anyhow, order at the counter — hot and sour soup, and a lunch portion of general tso’s chicken. That and a soda came to under $ 12.

I sat down and after awhile they bring over the soup. It’s in a takeout container. Did I mention this place is causal? Well, the soup was awesome. A little bit too goopy (yeah that’s gross but it was overly-​thick) but it tasted great. It was fresh too — the liquid was clear. (Foggy hot and sour soup means it’s from yesterday).

Then they bring over the chicken — it’s in a styrofoam takeout container. I opened it up and was surprised at how much was in there. A giant mound of rice, an enormous egg roll, and a nice amount of chicken. I thought I’d only eat half, but because I’m a pig, I ate nearly all of it. I’m sure I’ll be down for the count soon.

The general tso’s chicken was OK — I’ve had better. It could be crispier, but overall it’s better than most places. The rice was good. The egg roll was great — reminded me of the kind we’d get at kids from our local chinese restaurant.

It’s hot in there. I got the Homer-​Simpson-​sweats eating here. I’d go again, maybe when it cools down. The food was good so if you’re looking for that classic American-​style Chinese food, this is your place.

Affordable consistent and the best Chinese food I have had. I love this place. The boneless ribs and appetizer combo platter is so good. Best place to get Chinese in the area. Please pay in cash if you can it really helps them keep more of there money. Really friendly people as well. Food comes out very fast.

We entered to find there were no tables available.
The presumed owner took over one table with a computer and papers. Another table had a kid’s backpack on it. The only kid in the restaurant was presumably the owner’s son — who was eating at another table — he was joined by the woman at the computer table. The only 2 other tables were in use!
Since there was no place to sit, we left!

Great, cheap, consistent chinese. I appreciate that their lunch menu includes a lot of the nicer entrees options from the main menu and that the portions are more than I can eat. The family that runs the place is really sweet and responsive. You really feel like they value your business.

We pass 4 Chinese restaurants to come to Cindy’s (Xing Wang) place. That’s how we call it… Best Chinese food around, good hard working family… Quality and excellent prices… Never disappointed. Thank you:)

Excellent takeout food, and the owners are wonderfully friendly. I have been going to Xing Wang for years, and am very fortunate that they are so close to where I live! Highly recommended.

For take out only style, this is some of the best out there. Definitely worth it.

Really good Chinese food, cooked to order great lunch and dinner menu, been here a few Times, chicken wings are yummy and the general tsos chicken is great.

To put it in perspective I’ve been eating at this place since I was in elementary school and I’m now a junior in college.
They are so friendly. They always ask how I’ve been and the food is excellent. I’ve always found it amazing no matter how much time goes between visits they always know who I am and are so friendly.
My go to: general tso’s chicken! Their fried wontons are the best I’ve ever had too!

Cheap, good food. I actually like it better than some of the more popular places on Amherst st.

We pass tons of restaurants and make the 20 minute trek out to Xing Wang because in my opinion its the best Chinese food around. Honestly, the crab rangoon that I get from here are the best. I’ve tried so many over the passed that I can say these are the best.
The woman taking our order is so friendly and pleasant. They have plenty of combination plates and tons of menu items to choose from. There is always plenty of food when you get the plates. I’ve never been hungry after ordering from here. Everything tastes great.
The fried rice itself is a little plain but a tiny bit of soy sauce and we’re in business. I don’t really enjoy pork fried rice but for a small fee I can substitute beef fried rice which I prefer better.
I’ve always had a good experience and I will continue to drive out of my way for this food.

We love them! They always take our order quickly. They will substitute if you need them to and are always waiting for you with a smile. The food is hot and tastes wonderful every time.

One of the best places around by far. Don’t be fooled by the small building, and fast service. The food is of excellent equality. The location is perfect to get through the Nashua, and out just as quick as I so often do. The service is excellent with polite owners, and although the food is always served fast and hot. I have never had a bad meal here. The Chicken cashew is amazing, as well as the curry chicken! Thanks for all the great times guys!

What can I say about Xing Wang? This place is fantastic!!! It is my secret chinese place that not many people know about in the Merrimack/​Amherst/​Nashua area. The food is always fresh, cooked to order, and served piping hot. The owner’s are so friendly and appreciate the business. Support this place! Great service, good people, excellent food!

The Chinese food here is pretty good. I come here during lunch hours for the Daily Combination Plates (27 to choose from served with rice & choice of one appetizer, except #20-​appetizer plate), priced at $ 5.75 before 3PM and $ 8.25 after 3PM. It’s order at the counter with open kitchen and small dining area with table seating (usually full during weekday lunch rush). I usually get the #11 Shrimp Lo Mein with pork fried rice & 2 beef teriyaki sticks (sweet and very tender), and the food is ready in under 10 minutes.
I would give the food 4 stars, but there was an incident after my last visit. I got my food to go, which was boxed in a styrofoam container & plastic bagged. As I was driving back to the office with my lunch, the box started to leak sauce through the bag and onto the front seat and on some documents. WTF!!! I was not happy and many other Chinese places I’ve been to will staple the edges of the container to prevent leakage during transport.
