Kid Creole By The Tracks is a small kitchen off to one side of the Metry Café and Bar. I drive past it frequently but this was my first visit. They have some great seafood, the New Orleans standards. I went with a shrimp and oyster plate. Turns out almost everything here is made in house, including tarter and cocktail sauces. The shrimp and oyster were fried perfectly and large and juicy. The price was pretty reasonable, not at all jacked up because it’s bar food. I’ll definitely be going back. But here’s the bad part, the hours. They’re only open for lunch hours and close at 4:30, so this won’t be a nice dinner on a day I don’t feel like cooking. This is going to pretty much restrict visits to Saturday since they are close on Sunday.
