Our first visit and we were charmed by the owner and Chef Fabio’s hospitality. Being locals, this is the style of quaint restaurants we’re loyal to, they treat you like family and cater to your personal taste. We will most definitely come back for dinner and try Chef Fabio’s acclaimed pasta vongole for dinner. Ray, Rose and Chef Fabio

Had a very nice dinner at Café Mistral. The quality of food was top-notch. The ambiance was like eating at a small European restaurant with very attentive service.

It’s not French anymore, a change in ownership and it’s now Italian. Short menu. We had branzino which was very good, accompanied by 1 thin slice of grilled eggplant, 2 stalks of asparagus and a few slices of green pepper. The waiter and owner were trying very hard but it was a bumpy ride. The owner sat with her friends at the outside table next to us. Unfortunately it was loud conversation and and a noisy Face time session in Italian.

Came here a couple weeks ago for Brunch(Labor Day weekend 2015) as part of a bachelor weekend in Miami. We called ahead and made the reservation for 12 but only 11 of us made it. They were ready for us when we arrived. This was a nice, small family restaurant that could maybe have had 5 other tables in there. We were a big group but Giuseppe and his wife, whose name I didn’t get, were very warm and hosted us greatly. I believe their son Fanchesco, not to be confused with«Francisco,» was our waiter. We chose this place because of their bottomless brunch offer which featured a couple things from a preset menu and unlimited Mimosa for 2 hours for $ 40. This is a pretty great deal. Giuseppe let us order off of the regular menu and still participate in the brunch deal. They even started us off with some complimentary avocado bruchetta, which was delicious. All of the food was delicious, the chef and kitten staff were excellent. The kitchen was located in a loft type area above the restaurant which looked really cool. They had an old style exposed dumbwaiter that transported some things from up there down to us. It was very cool. At the end of our meal we shouted up to them to thank them for their hard and delicious work. The mimosas certainly kept flowing, as soon as we finished a pitcher a new one was there for us. They were strong too, made with some quality champagne not some cheap stuff. Giuseppe even let me connect my phone to the speaker system via bluetooth so that we could play some tunes while we ate. We had a great time and very very thankful for the food and hospitality. I will certainly go back next time I’m in Miami.

For Europeans this is the right place. Quality instead of quantity. We started with delicious cooked clams with rose wine. Then the taste took us different ways. Two went for fish, salmon and the catch of the day, and one desired for well cooked meat. The fish was accompanied with suburb white wine and the meat with a full body red wine from montepulcianio. Then a classical espresso coffee and Greek chocolate coffee dessert. We would highly recommend this

The café mistral is first real italian restaurant exist in Miami. Real taste of italian food. I am italian and i recognize the real italian taste. Wonderful place. fantastic atmosphere… we ate a delicious pasta with pesto and a really fresh fish: branzino cooked in fantastic italian way tasting bread, mozzarella, prosciutto and oil! you MUST go almost ones to the the café mistral to feel in Italy!

Tiny sandwich for $ 12. Sure, it was ok for ham, bread and swiss with a few tiny pickles. But nothing to write home about. Won’t be back.

Announcing the arrival of a new food baby! Parents are Sharon W. and Café Mistral! I came here on Saturday with 2 friends after Floatopia. We were going to go to Big Pink but the line was outrageous and Larry S. mentioned he heard good things about this place so we gave it a go. We were in that weird«linner» time frame between lunch and dinner, so we had the place(which is so charming!) to ourselves. The waiter(didn’t get his name, but he had a shaved head and a soul patch) was awesome! He mentioned up front that he did not get several expected deliveries on Friday, so many food items were not available. One of the missing deliveries was carbon, so no tap beer either. No matter, we had 2 delicious bottles of French red and thoroughly enjoyed! We started with the avocado toast, 4 wedges of toasted Zak the Baker bread, topped with avocado slices and drizzled with a balsamic reduction and garnished with a tangle of mesclun. Heaven! I was dubious about the hype around ZtB and his yeast-y wares, but there is no hype. It’s straight up phenomenal bread. I pity the Paleo people who will not get to experience it. We next had the Angus sliders, the«Fruban»(a Cuban sandwich with a French accent) and the nicoise salad. The sliders came with some roasted potatoes and one of the sandwiches came with a side of the most delicious stone ground mustard. The salad was enormous and refreshing and I am ashamed that I ate all of it. We finished up with the pear cake and the cheesecake. Both were warm, which was unusual for a cheesecake but it was totally mouthwatering! Both also were garnished with very sweet strawberries and enormous blueberries! Wow! Café Mistral is true gem — reasonably priced, delicious food, a small wine list with a modest mark up and of course, most importantly, fantastic service!

Excellent little hidden gem!!! Was browsing on places near by to eat lunch and wanted something healthy, came across a Niçoise salad. I came in ordered it and it was far better than I imagined. The place is small but nice they have outside seating. The bar is perfect if you’re by yourself. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

This place is absolutely charming. The atmosphere was like a little café in Europe. The French toast was tasty and served with a generous helping of fresh berries. Mimosas and espresso available to round out the perfect brunch.

Yummy, French, Adorable. Service was… French(slow) but if you have nowhere to be on a Sunday morning… that’s okay. The eggs benedict were a hit on the fruit/nut bread.

I went to there with 4 friends to have breakfast. We ordered poached eggs, french toast, spinach white egg omelette, and eggs Benedict. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Service was slow, but the place has a nice ambiance. If you like your coffee with milk, ask for warm milk.

Let me start by saying I think I had a one-off experience. The service was good, nice atmosphere, the ceviche was solid, the glass of wine was fine but the short ribs with mashed potatoes were almost not edible. I think another case of the chef not tasting what he’s cooking. The main was so heavily salted all the way around I should have sent it back. The only two desserts I was interested in they didn’t have. One of which the server said they haven’t had in awhile. Ok so these are paper menus spit out by a home printer. Don’t be so lazy and take it off the menu. I think I might give it another try if I happen to be in the area, maybe.

What a nice find! It’s a quaint café with a simple menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. I’m a sucker for croissants so I went with the prosciutto and manchego croissant sandwich with a side salad. They were generous with the sandwich ingredients so that made me happy and the salad dressing was delicious. For dessert, my eyes were set on the banana bread pudding. It took them quite a while to bring out which led me to believe that it was made to order but I think it was worth the wait. It’s definitely not an overly sweet dessert but it tastes fresh and true to the ingredients. They have an open kitchen on the second floor, which I found to be cool. The décor of the place is very nice as is the staff. I can’t wait to go back for lunch or an after-work beer.
