Unimpressed. Thought this would be a quick place for a Cuban sandwich while in the area. Nope. Glorified subway sandwich place. They don’t even have a basic Cuban. Just because something is on French bread does not make it Cuban. Unless Philly cheesesteak came from Havana originally.

This a An AMAZING, Super Tasty, Packing Texture, Flavor and great size Sandwich, It’s Not your typical Cubano Sanwich, It’s The Colombian Take and Tweaked Version Of it. They Do offer the Original Cubano recipe, But I Strongly Recommend The«Super Special» one. And Make sure to get Plenty of their Garlic Mayo Special Sauce it Compliments it Whole.

We stumbled upon Qbano, looking for a place for dinner since Joe’s Stone Crab was closed this weekend. We are so glad that Joe’s was closed so that we could find this place! The Ropa Vieja sandwich is the best! The manager highly recommended it. I was going to just order half a sandwich, but he talked us into a whole sandwich and I’m so glad that he did! I nearly ate both halves and it was huge! But it was so good that I couldn’t stop eating it. The grilled onions and peppers in it were so flavorful with the beef, which was nice and tender. It was super cheesy too. Our favorite part was the super light and crispy toasted bread! YUM! We will definitely be back for that sandwich. I’m not sure if we’ll ever make it to anything else on the menu since we have to get that sandwich every time and it’s big enough for 2 people! The Tropical salad was just okay — tough to compete after that sandwich! The chicken was a bit dry and the dressing tasted kind of plain, like just mayonnaise. We got the pineapple on the side. I think I liked it better with the pineapple. But that Ropa Vieja sandwich… I can’t wait to go back and get that again! Oh and the staff was very friendly. The manager checked on us a few times to make sure that we were happy too!

I like the food. Garlic sauce is awesome. The problem is how slooooowwwww these people are. Every time I come I see them moving like turtles. Why are they so slow to serve? Wake up.

A bit out of the way from the beach, but totally worth the walk. For less than $ 10, you can get an 8″ sandwich, fries and a drink. Their garlic sauce is amazing, coming from someone who doesn’t like garlic all that much. Food was good and filling, and I would definitely come back again.

This place is awesome. I spent a weekend in south beach for my birthday and was looking to grab a quick lunch with my girlfriends after the beach. Their sandwiches did not disappoint; reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I ordered a Hawaiian sandwich and I can’t wait to stop back when I visit Miami again.

Although their lunch sandwiches are delicious and big enough to share, their breakfast sandwiches are tiny. Seriously like my 7 year old your have eaten it and stayed hungry. Definitely not work the $ 4 or the trouble.

I loved it. I just finished my sandwich I just had to write a review right the way. That is how delicious it was. I had a ropa vieja big one to share with a friend and it was big enough to get us both full. I’m pick with sandwiches because I like the bread to be warm and fresh and crunchy. This place met all the requirements.

The service was great, nice ambiance, the FOOD based your review the Italian was the best the ‘secret sauce’ was absolutely to die for! They def perfected the sandwiches. It’s exactly what you want if your looking for fast, ethnic sandwiches a/flavor. Would come back.

Us being sandwich Qbano’s super fans since they are definitely famous for their delicious sandwich and garlic sauce(house secret sauce however you want to call it but its actually a creamy and delicious garlic sauce). We were so excited that there was actually a Franchise here in miami and we drove almost 2 hours just to eat those delicious sandwiches with their amazing garlic sauce one more time(it had been actually almost 3 years since i had my last qbano). Starting with the location it’s actually very nice. They have outdoor seating and the interior looks great they have a big tv and for the most it looks clean. Lets continue along with the staff, I’m colombian(yeh its colombia not columbia) so my primary language its spanish, yeah I agree most of the staff here doesn’t speak fluid english but they actually can defend themselves, so i placed my order and their menu its numbered by sandwich and you can make it a combo with fries and a soda, we asked for two #4’s and i confirmed with the guy that was taking my order that i wanted the hawaiian sandwich with pineapple of course, so yeah their system for ordering its a little bit off. You get this device with you and when you order is ready, it vibrates, we were actually very thirsty and had to wait until the order was ready to have our sodas, i went in again and took a bottle of water from their refrigerator and wanted to paid for it but i was standing in line for over 10 minutes and the wait time was too much, so we finally received our food and they gave us the wrong freaking sandwich!!! No pineapple so i went inside to let them know that they messed up the order and we wanted the sandwich with pineapple and the guy at the register looks at me at states that he confirmed with me that i wanted a number 4 and i said yea with pineapple, so here was the problem in their menu they have a sandwich thats actually not numbered and they are so stupid that the count them and the ham sandwich ends up being a number 4, i did got upset that i told him that if i said hawaiian it means that i want a hawaiian sandwich and that their menu needs to be changed, he did sent the sandwich back to put some pineapples in it and this girl in the back that’s pressing the sandwiches and processing the orders looks at me and asks me if i wanted just pineapple sauce instead. I think that just by they way i looked at her she decipher that i didn’t wanted that and started to cooked them right away. Now for the food, the sandwiches were okay not like the way i remember they used to be. remember its cuban pressed styled sandwiches, their garlic sauce didn’t taste the same :(what happened?!! I know its a chain restaurant but the quality overall of the food its not what it used to be before!

Stopped by here to grab a few sandwiches. We tried the Philly cheese steak, Hawaiian, and shredded chicken. All of them come in 8″ or 14″ and are reasonably priced. We also tried the fries with special sauce and side of sweet corn. Sweet corn was very small and simple though. It was just right!

My cheap, hot sandwich go-to in South Beach and they deliver! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the house sauce is creamy, garlicky deliciousness.

My sister ordered a bunch of sandwiches while we were lounging by the pool of our hotel. There was a little issue with communication over the phone, but the sandwiches did come round 40 minutes later as promised. They were still hot and delicious. Though by then I was pretty hungry so anything was good. Also, whatever was in that garlic sauce was awesome! The sandwiches themselves are pretty big. One person could eat one for sure, but it feels less gluttonous to share. Bread to filling ratio was pretty good. They won’t be winning any James Beard awards but if you want a basic sandwich, decently done then Qbano is your spot.

Being that I’d eaten at Big Pink before and I like trying new stuff, I decided to grab lunch at Qbano on a Sunday afternoon. I regretted this decision before I even had my food. Let’s start with the fact that the menu says a side of fries cost $ 1.50, and the register rung the up as $ 2. Not a big deal — until I alerted the cashier about this discrepancy, and she tried to ease it over in her half-English that it was not what I thought it was. i looked at my receipt and it was still $ 2. After consulting the manager(really?), the cashier opened the register and refunded me my .50 cents. The sandwich was greasy and cheap — the type of food I stopped eating a long time ago(I’ll take the blame for this by even coming into this place, haha). The staff did not employ a single English-as-first-language person and they were having problems organizing which orders belonged to whom as the food was placed on the front counter. Qbano uses the old food-order-receipt-placed-on-top-of-your-food system, so I watched in bemusement as the front counter women read grease-stained receipts and discussed which customers got each order. Lastly, I asked for the special«house sauce» — who the hell knows what’s in that — to come on the side, not on the sandwich. The same woman working the register and handling money dipped some sauce into a small cup for me, and her thumb got into the sauce as she handled the small cup. Thinking nothing of it, she matter-of-factly placed this same cup on my tray. Needles to say I still don’t know what the house sauce tastes like. Qbano has a great location and looks great from the outside, but the customer service is severely lacking — not as in them not caring, but not even being aware — and the food is McDonald’s-level to say the most. The manager was on the cooking line preparing orders. And being that this place in in South Pointe which — is not a heavy Latin area generally — Qbano could use some workers for whom English is their first language.

We had been stuck in traffic for hours trying to get to South Beach on New Year’s Eve. When we finally arrived, we needed a quick bite and came upon this shop as we were walking. They did have a sign on the door that they were closing at 5pm due to the holiday, but as it was only 4:45pm, we figured that shouldn’t be a problem, we aren’t talking fine dining here, how long could it take to make a couple of sandwhiches. Well, we couldn’t be more wrong. The door was already locked and Sandra/Sondra who came over to the door, wouldn’t even open it to talk to us, all she kept doing was pointing to the sign. Such poor customer service will ensure that we will never make a return visit and will in no way recommend it to anyone we know.

Despite the name, this sandwich shop doesn’t come your way via Cuba. This is a Colombian staple and it’s acquitting itself nicely South of Fifth. I’d passed it many times, looked at it sideways because it just seems so out of place in the neighborhood, but, eventually, the bright colored lured me in like a moth to flame. The music that plays on the website and in store was another lure. It made me start twerking like my name was Miley Cyrus. Loud colors and twerking beats… these are good starts. But, you’re not here to get fashion choices from Peg Bundy. Nor are you here to make Billy Ray shake his head and cry in the shower. You’re here to get a delicious sandwich that tastes unlike most other sandwiches you’re going to find in the vicinity. In this respect, SQD lives up to its name. I was a bit overwhelmed(in a good way) with the selection but the clerk behind the counter never rushed me or yelled at me for taking a long time to decide. If you live in Miami, you’ll understand why this is a big deal and a pleasant surprise. Eventually, I decided on the #10: pressed french bread, chicken strips, garlic sauce, cheese, peppers, onions, and sesame seeds. It sounds like a random concoction but, believe me, it’s delicioso! As mentioned in other reviews, the fries are cripsy and sop up the sauce that will, inevitably, drip off of your sandwich. Plus, the store is open later than you would assume a SoFi sandwich shop to be so when you’re wandering the streets(well, Washington and 1st) later in the evening on a rainy Monday, you’re sure to have a good meal. Me gusta mucho, SQD! Ah’ll be bahck.

Unique and delicious sandwiches!!! I tried all of there subs and I conclude each one has there own creative twist. I love to come in here cause I never get bored of the food. They use fresh and high quality ingredients. The turkey sub, italian sub and thai chicken wrap are my favorites. The fries are always hot and crispy. Plus they have this unique garlic sauce that is great to dip your fries in. The coffee is always fresh and is only $ 1.25. The ladies make a great cortadito! Don’t forget to try a smoothie. My favortie was the strawberry and passion fruit, it’s not on the menu but the staff recommends it as their favorite smoothie. Qbano is always clean and organized. The staff is so kind and helpful. I recommend this place for a quick and affordable lunch.

Every year when I travel to Cali, Colombia to visit the fam, this is one of the places I am most excited about. So you can imagine I flipped my shit when I saw this baby on SoBe. The fucking sandwich qbano gods heard my prayers… and now I don’t have to go to Colombia anymore! :) lol jk. Anywho, I was randomly at the beach(no intention of eating) and I passed this place, I swear I felt my heart drop. Am I in the right country right now? I immediatly parked, and ran inside. Althought I wasn’t hungry, I stuffed my mouth either way and forced my friends to eat there as well. I always order the«special» sandwich. It’s the main one… Never tried anything else. There is no need to when this one is fantastic just the way it is. What really makes this sandwich is the bread. It’s toasted to perfection. The cherry on top would be the garlic sauce. Can we say CRACK? Recently, driving around Kendall, I freakin’ see them in a shopping center on kendall drive and 137 ave. Oh my, I am happy forever now: D
