Porcini Italian cafe

Very nice formal dining room, but with a TV, which was a bit distracting. Nice linen and stem wear on the tables and a friendly waiter.
The food was fantastic. I had the lasagna with fresh shredded mozzarella cheese. The service was classy, the food was great and we really enjoyed dining here.

The atmosphere could use some work, but the food is great. Chicken Parm and Fettuccine were outstanding.

The restaurant is wonderful.
We tried the linguine lobster that was more than great. Two of my friends liked too but complain that it was not enough pasta, but I love it.
Finally, the tiramisú was terrific.
Definitely, I will come back!

This unassuming restaurant has some of the best pasta I have eaten on Miami Beach! Although the overall atmosphere may be unassuming, the awesome service and amazing food more than make up for it. We had the Chicken Parmesan, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread and the Pasta Carbonara and they were all delicious! I strongly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Sort of hidden away in a hotel, but I loved it! I had the chicken Alfredo, which was fantastic; best I’ve ever had. The wait staff was kind and very diligent in making sure we were content at all times.

I had lobster ravioli and the taste was heavenly. I wanted to lick dry the source so I ended up using the bread to dip dry of the remaining sauce. Remember not to consume all the bread and left some for the source.

My wife and I had a lovely meal at Porcini’s. First off, we read reviews on Unilocal first and they were mostly quite positive.
We wanted a nice reasonably priced Italian meal in walking distance to our hotel in Miami Beach. Porcini’s delivered!
So the restaurant is located in the Sherry Frontenac hotel which serves the airline industry. From the outside, the hotel looks very dated and not necessarily a place we would choose to stay. Having said that we went inside and really liked the 1930’s charm of the lobby.
The restaurant is not immediately obvious and you should ask at the desk where you can find it. As you walk into the restaurant, you will find a similar Art Deco décor and low lighting. You will also note that there are not many patrons. Seems off putting, but give it a try anyway!
We had a very nice bottle of wine — a Super Tuscan that you would be hard pressed to find at a more reasonable price. My wife and I share our meals so we got the chicken parmesan and a spinach ravioli. Yeah I know — chicken parmesean — not exciting but good comfort food and if they can’t do that right then why bother. Both dishes were delicious!
All and all very worth it. Good food, good prices and you can hear each other talk! Give it a try!!!

Really enjoyed our dinner here! My husband ordered the penne vodka with grilled chicken and I had the ravioli with spinach and ricotta — both were outta this world! Also got the tiramisu, delicious! Couldn’t take any pictures because everything was eaten so fast!

Awesome food. Seriously good Italian –and I’ve lived in Italy! The service was spot on and attentive. Try the tiramisu or snapper entrée. You won’t regret it.

We ate here our last night on the beach. Our food was fabulous. 4 different dishes: lobster ravioli, vodka penne, and the two specials of red snapper and a steak meal. Everyone loved their dishes. I was surprised the restaurant wasn’t very busy because it is wonderful.

I had a great experience. I love the lobster ravioli! Great service. I will definitely eat here next time I’m in Miami.

I’m starting to doubt Unilocal after porcini. Went there because of the good reviews. Must be restaurant staff, friends and family who didn’t even try the food. Bad setup, dark, cheap look for a restaurant. Shouldn’t last in business.

Very nice vodka penne. Great house wine. Lovely feel to the restaurant. Hidden jewel! Highly recommend!

Voila un petit restaurant que j’ai trouvé grâce à Unilocal et j’en suis ravie. Je né l’aurais jamais remarqué sinon, d’autant plus qu’il se trouve dans l’entrée d’un grand hôtel donc je n’aurais pas osé passer la porte pour un restaurant.
Très bon restaurant italien avec un large choix, nous avons très bien mangé.
Attention cependant l’ambiance est assez intimiste, nous y sommes allés avec notre bébé et je me suis sentie gênée lorsqu’il faisait du bruit.
Je vous recommande ce restaurant si vous êtes dans le coin!

GEM! Walked over from the Hilton Cabana, fabulous food! Found this little restaurant via Unilocal.You have got to try the Penne Vodka — wonderful! We were the only people in the place (not sure why). Yummy warm bread! You have got to try this place!

A hidden gem. Like most people said — we were wondering how come the place wasn’t packed ?! Maybe location, kinda hidden away. Great atmosphere, cozy. Great service. Great food. Had lasagne and a seafood pasta special — both delicious. Great place for a nice romantic dinner !!!

Awesome Italian food. FRESH! If you’re in Miami, you can’t miss this extraordinary Italian food. We love Italian food and find good Italian when we travel. Had the Fresh Catch which was Red Snapper and it was amazing. Definitely top 3 we’ve visited. And we’ve visited quite a few. Don’t miss out!

Nice space, classy décor with subdued lighting. No one else in restaurant at 7pm on a Tue. Friendly, speedy service. The linguini with white clam sauce was a bit flavorless, needed a lot more garlic. The clams were fresh in the shell at least. Thought $ 18 was expensive for such a simple dish…

Enjoyed by dinner very much. Had the penne vodka and a few bites of the chicken parm. Loved both! The place is very dark though, a bit outdated in it’s décor. If they opened the windows and painted the walls it’d be a much more inviting place.
