Sunset Lounge

I didn’t stay at the Mondrian but stopped by the Sunset Lounge for drinks & the view! The happy hour deal when I went was 20% bar food, $ 40 for a bottle of rosé, or half off beers — they didn’t have any crafts on draft so I went with a cocktail, which average $ 20 per drink (18% gratuity included). I had a caipirinha and a mango mojito, both perfect drinks for lazy sunset viewing by the poolside! We also ordered coconut shrimps and mini lobster rolls to share. They were pricy but very good as well! We didn’t take a dip in the pool but it seems like anyone can just go in. Overall, it was a nice place to wind down after a day of roaming Miami!

Really good place to watch the sunset and to relax after a busy working week in Miami beach. Food was decent. Drinks was great. The small pool made me feel so clasic, people here were so friendly and helpful. It did not make me feel strange and stress while i was the first time here. I like the service here so much. High recommended for everyone that want to relax and to watch the sunset in Miami beach on the weekend.

This is a great place to watch the sunset. The view is beautiful. We went during happy hour. We ordered drinks, however, they were not discounted. I recommend asking for the special. I knew what I wanted and I was willing to pay more for it. If drinking is not your thing, order an appetizer and watch the sunset. Please visit if you have time.

What a great find. I popped in here right at sunset. Classy and serene. There’s a small pool, a sandy area with some hammocks, lounge chairs surrounded by curtains, and a nice area to take in the view. I took some nice pictures of the sun descending below the Miami skyline. Then I sat on one of the lounge chairs — didn’t order any of the food or cocktails — just enjoyed the scene.

Beautiful views of the skyline, absolutely gorgeous at sunset. We also loved their creative cocktails!

Amazing place to chill. The food was also decent for a hotel bar! I had such an amazing time. Everything was beautiful and made me feel like paradise!

Sunset Lounge is the possibly best spot in Miami, FL for watching the sunset. It is a spot where one can feel the magic; not to mention the romance! The cabanas are priced to par of the view, I recommend sitting inside after viewing the sunset outside. The drinks are decently priced, but you aren’t paying for the liquor, you are truly paying for the view. The sunset lounge combines the enjoyment of a sunset with elegance and old Miami glamour. Just as the sun shines over this spot, so does the beautiful and the bold guests. A must go to, you will be left breathless!

I live walking distance to the hotel so I decided to go there one day around lunch time. The service was slow but the food was very good. A little expensive but that’s to be expected in a hotel. I will go back there for sure just because it’s so close to where I live and the setting is beautiful.

My favorite pool side server is Karen besides being quick she is always friendly and never leaves you hanging around while your glass is empty or waiting for a check. The only place to enjoy drinks cool music and an amazing view is the Mondrian Hotel pool… sit in Karen’s section and you’ll never sit anywhere else

My friends and I (West Ave locals) used to frequent the Mondrian during the week for their great progressive happy hour special, spacious bar and amazing downtown views. Not anymore. After visiting last night we learned (from the rude bartender) that they have ended the happy hour and closed the main bar during the week. Our $ 6 Mojitos were now $ 20 each and there were no snack options. We won’t be back. Poor decision by management.

Very pretty, nice view across the water! The outdoor area is amazing. Large selection of quality mixed drinks. Great happy hour and friendly bartenders.

I’m torn. I want to give a 1 for the service, and a 4 for the view. I guess I’ll settle for a 3.
Came here for the happy hour at 7 PM on a Friday night with a couple of girlfriends— the drinks are $ 7 at 7 PM, and they have a few bites you can order. Well, the happy hour prices only apply to the inside bar and the black tables right outside the bar. So you’re a bit further away from the railing and isn’t the best view of the sunset, but it’ll do for such cheap drinks! But after sitting outside for a few minutes, nobody came to serve us, so we went inside and ordered inside, where we were told there was indeed someone serving outside. Whatever that’s fine. But then we ordered a Cubano sandwich and hummus and chips, but 40 minutes later the food still hadn’t arrived. I’m pretty sure a sandwich and dip shouldn’t take that long…
Asked the waiter and he said he knew there were a few more food orders in ahead of us, but that he would check. The thing is, it wasn’t that busy in the bar at all… Ten minutes later the food still didn’t come, so we gave us and closed out. The server apologized and discounted our drinks to $ 5 each, but I would have just preferred my food in a timely manner. At least the drinks were strong and the view was beautiful.

Stunning!!! This hotel is beautiful. Sunset Lounge is located in the back of the Mondrian hotel, half inside and half outside next to the pool. Order a delicious, inexpensive cocktail at happy hour and lounge outside overlooking the gorgeous bay. The name is not a misnomer, the view of the sunset here is phenomenal. The fact that Sunset Lounge offers an amazing happy hour (prices directly correlate with the time — i.e., 6p $ 6, 7p $ 7, etc.) makes the experience that much better. Not to be missed. I’ve been to Miami many times, and this year is the first time I’ve been to this spot, one of the highlights of my trip. Enjoy!

Stunning location, beautiful people and regular DJ spots make this pool cum outdoor hangout great. However drinks are expensive $ 20 for a vodka coke when no deals are on. However they DO a lot of happy hours n deals so check those first.

5 stars for being the absolute best view for happiness hour! Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a few drinks while you’re lounging by the pool as the sun is setting?! Good thing about Sunset Lounge too is the cost of your drink depends on the time you order your drink. If you order at 5pm, your drink is $ 5. If you order at 6pm, your drink is $ 6. You get the idea. I had a great time here + I will definitely be back soon… with my camera!

It was fancy. Went to celebrate bday with friends. Sunset was pretty. Inside area was very sexy and glamorous looking. The outside pool area looked a bit more family friendly. Went for happy hour. The menu is not extensive but they had good tasty drink options and for $ 5(5−6PM and increase by $ 1 every hour), I really can’t complain.

Great place to enjoy a (pricey) drink and enjoy the amazing view! I spent a week at the hotel and frequented the Sunset Lounge on several occasions. We held a cocktail party here one night and it was first class — amazing food and great drinks too! All visits were met with friendly bartenders and well mixed cocktails.

The view, the sunset, and the HAPPY HOUR will keep anyone coming back!
The happy hour menu with food & drinks begins at 5pm for $ 5. The menu will go up in by $ 1 each hour and ends at I believe 8pm? Either way– we had 2 appetizers, several mojitos each, and great service for a total of $ 43!!!

Let me start off by saying I’m really sad Asia de Cuba is no longer a restaurant here.
Let me follow that up by raving about the amazing view you get when you come to have a cocktail here around 7pm. Come a bit earlier, grab some happy hour (every day of the week) and catch some sun. Stay and watch the BEST view in Miami.
Very limited menu so don’t come hungry, but definitely come thirsty for a great view and some quality libations. The Lychee martini is particularly smooth.

This place is gorgeous and with out a doubt the best sunset in SoBe.
Large selection of quality mixed drinks. The mojito was divine.
Great happy hour and friendly bartenders.
