I am so glad I have found this place and Jusi as she uses my favorite color INOA from l’Oreal which apparently is so hard to find here in Miami, so great color service and Jusi is wonderful also good prices, so definately reccomend this.

Easily the best in Miami. Excellent customer service, excellent prices, excellent experiences, excellent quality. anyone giving less than 4 stars is not giving a fair review! I am not sure why there are people saying it is small, it is pretty big, there are 3 massage rooms, 2 waxing rooms, room for facials, clothing store in a separate room, the manicure/pedicure room has 6 chairs including the pedicure area. I have seen salons much smaller, so these people complaining about the size, how about some truth. I ordered a Groupon for my wife and was told what technician she will be scheduled with. She was so happy that she is now a regular and goes every week or two. I highly recommend the massage services as well. The hair stylists are also top notch. This is a Brasilian salon and almost everyone that works there is Brasilian. If you want that style fashion, you should check it out. One more thing I would like to address, people that complain about not being able to find the place, learn how to read!!! There is a huge sign on on the canopy right in front of the salon, There is a huge Brazilian flag and another side by the 7 – 11, seriously? You cant find it? Did you forget your glasses at home? or your head? Parking is in the rear, along with the main entrance, there is an entrance if you walk through the Lime outside area, but not many people use that entrance. My wife and I have been going here regularly for 2 years now. Oh, the complaint of not enough colors to choose from, she has a wall full of colors, there are hundreds of colors to choose from and Tuka changes the colors for every season. If you cant pick out a color here or complain about the selection of colors, then the problem is you, not the salon. Some people are just haters.

Tuka does the best mani pedi in Miami! And she is also a beautiful human being! Great positive energy! The atmosphere here is very soothing and they have cool Brazilian dresses and bikinis for sale. This is my new fav nail salon!

Best manicure I’ve ever had, hands down. My manicurist was incredibly thorough, somehow cleaning up the mess that I had made of my cuticles. She also did a great job on my toes, although the foot polish could have been more through, hence the four stars instead of five. Then again, had my nails been in better shape to begin with, she probably could have spent more time buffing, less time… dealing. It’s not the fanciest salon but it has a great friendly vibe and an obvious roster of repeat clients. Very easy to make an appointment, I called at 10:30am on a Saturday and was able to book a mani-pedi for 11am.

Just got a great manicure from Tuka herself. This is the third nail salon in SOBE that I’ve tried and definitely has become my favorite. She did an awesome job… they had this seasons colors from OPI and Essie as well as a big selection of other favorites from OPI and Essie. The salon was clean, intimate, etc. I arrived 30 minutes early and Tuka saw me right away. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great manicure here in SOBE. It is a little hidden… you have to walk through the courtyard of Lime, the burrito restaurant.

The ladies at Tuka are amazing! The service is fantastic and not expensive. Definitely one of South Beach’s hidden gems!

I have to second the review by Kathryn S., this salon is not a place I would usually recommend. I purchased a daily groupon deal for a hot stone pedicure and manicure for $ 35. But for the amount of money you would usually spend on this service, I don’t think it would be worth it. The salon is tucked away behind the Lime on Alton, which can be very difficult to find it you’re not familiar with the area. It is very, very small. When I walked in I wasn’t very impressed, and it didn’t make me think, «high service salon.» I needed to get my nails done for a wedding and called ahead to make sure I could make an appointment. The lady at the desk gave me plenty of times I could come in so it didn’t seem like they were very busy. I showed up on time for my appointment but was made to wait for about 15 minutes. I was a little annoyed because I was on a time crunch. I picked out a color but was disappointed since there weren’t many to choose from. The pediure area is tiny, there aren’t large comfy chairs. There’s three sinks lined along a bench were the women have to squeeze in, and plastic bags line the inside where you dip your feet. On the upside, the girls doing the manicures and pedicures were very sweet and did a great job. All in all, when I left I was happy but there was nothing particularly special about the experience. And like I said, for the usual price of $ 72 I would have been very disappointed.

The place is hidden behind Lime by Alton Rd. You have to pass through the tables to get to the Salon. I was actually eating at Lime when i saw this place, so i decided to check it out and see if i could get a manicure! I did not have an appointment but they took me in instantly, but they encourage to make appointments. I am pleased with Thyara’s work especially removing all my cuticles! She was fast, sweet and friendly.

I really wanted to give Tuka’s Salon a good review because the manicurist was actually very sweet and nice, but her kindness couldn’t save my review. To begin with, the location was very difficult to find. After I had circled the block about 3 times, I decided that I was just going to park and walk around till I found it. Tuka’s Salon is hidden between Lime and the now closed Me Day Spa on Alton Road. You actually have to walk through the courtyard where you eat at Lime to get to the salon. I walked in right before my appointment was scheduled to start and I wasn’t very impressed with the salon. It was very small, and hardly had any air conditioning. I told myself to not judge a book by it’s cover and then asked if I could look around to see what nail polishes they offered so I could choose what color I wanted. At the front of the salon they have the latest O.P.I. and Essie colors which excited me. I thought that the place might not be the nicest, but I could get a good manicure with an awesome color. The woman at the front informed me that I had to go around the corner to pick a color. I was disappointed to see that they had hardly any colors to choose from, and hardly anything from the latest collections. I settled on a color and was shown to where I would be seated. The manicurist was very nice, but took forever to finish. I don’t know if she was just trying to be exact and thorough in her job, but I’ve never taken so long for a manicure. In the end, my manicure wasn’t too bad. The woman did a good job but it was nothing spectacular. The location isn’t very good, and the actual salon isn’t as nice as one would hope. I’m not quite sure I’m going to make another trip to Tuka’s any time soon.

Based on the multiple 5 star reviews this was my first choice for a pedicure in Miami Beach. In the end my experience did not reflect the glowing reviews. Cons: — nail area too small — building under construction. Difficult to relax with pounding noises in the next room. — pedicure seating while it looks nice is very impractical and uncomfortable — manicurist cut too deep into my cuticle and was overall too rough. I was bleeding for 10 minutes with no apology — not enough bells and whistles for price and hype — my shellac was chipped by the time I got home. This has never happened to me before and I am not a dainty lady. Pros: — did a decent looking job on my shellac. Manicurist was helpful with choosing good color Pro for some. Con for others. –everyone else in the salon seemed to be a well known regular. This resulted in a «cheers» sort of feeling but also led to a lot of loud personal conversations. I just wanted to relax, not hear someone else’s gossip. Some may love this if they like a close relationship with their nail ladies. I prefer a spa atmosphere. Price: $ 73 for shellac manicure and pedicure

Highly recommended. Polite, prompt, and you absolutely get your money’s worth. 1) Got a great pedicure. $ 30 + 20% tip = $ 36 = damn good deal 2) Everything was exceptionally clean. The foot soak was in a special liner(mmm, hot water with moisturizing wash and rose petals), and everything was very sanitary.(Nobody wants to stick their feet in a nasty old tub!) 3) They were very strict about appointments, which I appreciate. I was scheduled for 4:30, and they got me from the waiting room at 4:33. Props. 4) I was out the door by 5. Everyone loves a good veg-out session, but sometimes you gotta do more than just your nails that day. FYI, I’d told them that I needed to leave by 5 and they were completely respectful of that.(I’m sure I’d have been welcome to hang out and let the polish dry if I didn’t have to be somewhere right away.) 5) Doesn’t mean I didn’t get the best foot scrub ever(yay soft tootsies!) and a fantastic polish job. She even asked if I’d be wearing closed-toed shoes later, and if not, would I like a third coat. It looks really good and I’m not expecting to find chips any time soon. Love these folks and will be glad to give them my money in another couple weeks! Please do the same… I want them to stay in business. =P

Never before had I been to a Nail Salon that stuck to their appointment schedule so nicely. Tuka will have you in and out within the hour and your nails will be exactly how you want them. Be respectful of her and don’t be late. It took Tuka one appointment to make a mental note of how I liked my nails and she never asked again. Her salon is beautiful, homey, clean, and Tuka is very friendly. This little SoBe Salon is a Gem!,

So I’m going to review a place I’ve never been to, and have not experienced their services… I am from Miami, I have family in Miami. I live in Colorado. Occasionally I want to buy presents or do nice things for those I love in Miami. Recently, I wanted to get my Mom a luxe mani/pedi. She’d had a hard week, and I wanted her to have some«me-time» so I came to Unilocal,of course, to find a nice place that is a step-up from her regular nail joint. All the reviews for Tuka were good, it’s near her work. Perfect. I call, get voicemail, ok fine. Leave a message. 2 days later, my call hasn’t been returned, I call again… voicemail. I leave another message. Very clearly indicating that I want to purchase a gift certificate, etc. Please call me back. I include my number. Yes…I know they changed location and phone number. I had the right phone number. Still no response. Fast forward to last week, I’m in town for Thanksgiving… I call to make appointments for us both(why I’m still trying, I have no idea). No answer, leave a message. Eureka! Someone actually calls back a few hours later! But too late, we’d already made appts elsewhere(more on that later… see my review for Blush). Answer the damn phone!

I have been extremely impressed by Tuka. She does an amazing job on manis and pedis and as well as the nails also does wonders for your feet(my feet get terribly rough and callousy and she smooths them back to soft and nice, even using the power machine home depot looking thing ~ works wonders). She has a wide selection of all the essie and OPI colors. She is also very quick, in a good way — I never feel rushed one bit, more like I get back in my car and I’m like wow it’s only been an hour, wonderful!(Versus the cringeworthy marathon 2 hour mani pedi that oh too common here) She is also sweet and friendly. What’s not to love! PS oh how could i forgot, its also only $ 47 for mani pedi, a good price for south beach and def worth it. PPS just noticed the reviewer below posted the wrong address… the new address is 1301 Alton(not collins)

Tuka and Juici are still, in my opinion, the best manicurists Miami has to offer, but they are in a new location. And it’s cute, cute, cute! It’s a little house on Alton. Her new address is: 1301 Collins Ave And she still has the same phone number. If you need a mani/pedi, don’t waste your time and money at other places, go here. Seriously, she is the best.

Tuka used to work as a manicurist at Brownes and has now branched out on her own. She is AMAZING at doing nails… really good at cutting cuticles and really knows to give a GREAT pedicure. I also love the fact that Tuka is really swift and can do both hands and feet under an hour(which is a major feat in Miami seeing as most manicurists here are on Caribbean time). I recently got gel nails from Tuka and they rock! They look 100% natural and last two weeks. In fact, I highly recommend gel nails for moms because they look good and the nail polish sticks to them like glue for weeks. Can you say, «fabulous»???
