The food was impeccable. Literally perfect. A great place, that KNOWS excellent food, will not have salt and pepper on the table. And when you eat something incorrectly, you are politely informed of how it is best eaten. We had the lamb, a tostadero appetizer and a vegan platter, and EVERYTHING was done perfectly. Ambiance was cute, quiet and romantic. Real silver ware(like, actual silver) on the table, and the BEST server, Darien, that we could have asked for. Knowledgable, kind, attentive and friendly. What a wonderful experience we had.

Nice ambience. Quaint. Give it a three star because of that. It’s a unique place but the food not my style. To be objective, it lacks flavor. My husband had the pulpo a la Parilla which is what I’m basing this review on since all I had was a salad. The pulpo looked undercooked not Parilla flavor. The spices it was basted in was not tasty. The texture was not the best for my sensory system(too mushy too plasticky). The casaba wasn’t the best but the butter gives it an appetizing flavor. The pumpkin soup was healthy and did have hints of ginger and orange.

This place deserves the 5 stars. It reminds me of a beach side family owned restaurant in Barbados. Very Caribbean atmosphere and stellar cuisine. The chef came out to the table to make sure we enjoyed the food and he found we were beyond satisfied. The lamb is the winner prepared with rosemary that is on fire when delivered to your table.

Casabe 305 is among the best restaurants in Miami. With a charming atmosphere, eclectic menu and fresh ingredients – Chef Diego Texera has achieved a level of consistency that is hard to find. There is no better place to go out for fine dining while feeling like you’re at home.

What a disappointment. We had been to Casabe once previously for lunch, and the food was very fresh and tasty. But tonight’s dinner was so awful, that I’ll never eat there again! I left feeling both hungry and disgusted. We started with the empanada sampler which actually tasted pretty good. But it’s hard to mess up fried corn empanadas with cheese or meat filling. The evening took a turn for the worse when the second appetizer arrived and finally our main courses. The tuna in the ceviche mandarin was fishy, and the noodles were quite hard. We ordered the lamb and the sea bass to share. The lamb was supposed to be medium but came out rare. We had to send it back to have it cooked properly. But it didn’t have a lot of flavor, and the couscous was dry and bland. As for the sea bass, it was extremely fishy and had an ammonia smell. It was NOT fresh at all! When we complained they took it off the check, but they denied that it was old. If it was so fresh why was my wife’s gag reflex in full force? My recommendation: save your money and eat elsewhere. It’s no wonder both times I’ve been the restaurant was mostly empty.

Would have liked to give 3.5 stars but that wasn’t an option. We came in at 9 on a Saturday night and they were out of salmon, octopus, and ratatouille. The seabass wasn’t served the way it was described on the menu and the macrobiotic vegan platter that i saw on the Unilocal menu wasn’t available. Also, they’ve adjusted their prices to make everything slightly more expensive than you see online. The appetizer portions are all very small and not worth the money. However, when the entrees came we were just floored! The portions of tuna and seabass were enormous and expertly cooked. The burrata salad i got in place of the macrobiotic platter wasnt healthy but the highest quality cheese. Overall, a cute and quiet place that is good for a date night and very different in atmosphere from anything else in miami.

We’ve driven past this little restaurant numerous times over the years and never gave it much thought, but recently my wife checked out their Unilocal reviews and we both concluded it was long overdue for a visit. We had dinner here a couple nights ago with our little one and had a wonderful experience. This is a Venezuelan/fusion restaurant, and many of the dishes have that as their leading inspiration. We started with tequeños that had a sweet/spicy dipping sauce(Yum!) and tostones topped with ceviche. Both apps were excellent. For mains we had a duck Margret and scallops with a «mofongo» made from yucca. Both mains were quite enjoyable as well. Service throughout was excellent and the atmosphere is blissfully pleasant. I’d definitely come back.

Wow, Diego the master outdid himself, Parillita criollo with the perfecto guacamole, and fried yuquita«oh boy» que Rico and the seabass was incredibly outstanding, had a red risotto that was from outer space!!! Order the chocolate fondant, worth the 15 minutes!!! Finish it with a house complementary orange rum liquor, whoa! Darien was a gracious and informative waiter, friendly and courteous. Congrats and thanks for a great meal!

Loved this place !! the service was great, the ambience too, an old house turned into a restaurant has beautiful décor and vibe to it. The food was amazing too. One of the best calamari I’ve had by far in Miami. The pumpkin soup was soooo good! I had the Sea bass which was tender and nicely set too. Finished off the night with a casero cheesecake that was very good too. The only down spot to the whole experience is the parking. They have valet parking for $ 8 which is just next to the restaurant. Basically its the restaurant’s parking that you can only park there unless you valet. Seems an unnecessary cost to the patrons when there is plenty of street parking available. Why not just let your patrons park for free? Doesn’t make any sense .:(

I loved this restaurant! The terrace outside is great for evening dinners, very cozy inside and beautiful décor. We came here for a sunday brunch and had the empanadas platter, cachapa con queso de Mano and pabellon criollo. The empanadas as starters are great, you get to try the different empanadas they have, they were very tasty but very small, if you want to share it order 2. The cachapa, one of the best I’ve tried in Miami! A beautiful presentation… The pabellon criollo, the most typical plate in Venezuela was also very good, very traditional and good portion! As a dessert they offered us the«manjar of guanavana» WUAU… never eaten/drank something like this before. The service was excellent! We will come back soon!

This place is beautiful, the décor, the way the food is presented… its almost enchanting. The simple menu. The concept is so good… but it could be so much better. As soon as I walked in I thought I was going to love the place… I didnt, but I enjoyed it a lot and will definetely be back and maybe update this review. The menu is simple, Venezuelan food… organic. However the portions are very small, specially for the price. 4 tequenos cost 8 bucks… they are delicious but come on, there are atleast 6 joints in Coral Way where the tequenos are just as good and for the same price you get 6 – 8. The food was delicious, specially the plates with eggs. The arepas were very small and honestly I cant recommend them. The reina pepiada is no good. Overcooked and lacking flavor(fake aguacate, lemon?). Not sure but I would give them 3⁄5. The service is venezuelan… basically: your mileage may vary. Why do you guys cheap out on the sugar? One bag of sugar? seriously? and when I asked for more they gave me 1 more. Wtf! Anyway its a lovely brunch spot, I recommend it… but it could be soooo much better with just a couple changes.

This place is awesome! Me and the hubby came here for jazz night on a Thursday. As we arrived we were immediately greater by the owner and chef, he was very friendly and welcoming. We sat outside were they had the live entertainment. We ordered as an appetizer tostones yucatecos(extremely delicious and fresh) and the soup of the the pumpkin soup also very delicious and fresh. As the main course I had the yuca Mofongo with shrimp and the hubby got the churrasco with jasmine rice and truffle fries. For dessert we had a wasabi infused chocolate cake with organic vanilla ice cream, we were a little curious about the wasabi part but it was delicious and made to order. Our waiter, the live entertainment and the whole experience was awesome. Will definitely be back!

I fell in love at first sight — completely and totally enchanted. First of all, you have to be really vigilant when you are looking for the restaurant. For starters it doesn’t look like your ordinary restaurant — it looks like a quaint home you would find in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove. Once you pass through all of the foliage you enter into what seems to be your grandmother’s home, except the décor is looks a lot like a Nantucket summer home. And then the food — pure perfection. Not only is it delicious but every single bite you take in is good for your soul. When I spoke to owner and chef Diego Texera he told me, «When I cook my goal is to use cooking techniques that symbolize a home cooked meal. The greatest compliment I can get from a client is that my dish brings back memories of their grandmother’s cooking.» The reason why you feel you great eating Chef Texera’s food is because when he cooks he puts together ingredients that will have the highest positive impact on your physical, mental and spiritual health. Did I mention he was a holistic doctor back in Venezuela? This man knows what he is doing. I had the chance of trying of few of his delicious dishes. Like the tostones with ceviche, tequeños, Scottish salmon and, of course, his chocolate fondant — which is out of this world. I guarantee anything you try at Casabe 305 Bistro won’t disappoint.
