Nice location on a big intersection on 37th ave and coral way. Easy to access and has private parking. This location is always busy and always fresh. Especially the pulled pork is very taste.

This Pollo Tropical is the WORST!!! I am a regular customer of Pollo. Go there for almost every lunch break and/or dinner. So I’d say about 4⁄5 time a week. I love Pollo Tropical. I have had many great experiences and great service at several locations, but this Pollo Tropical has practically left me at a loss for words. Let me start off by saying that their service and employees are THEFUCKINGWORST. Seriously, whoever hired these employees should get fired. Almost all the employees at this location are rude, obnoxious, and they honestly make me question how many brain cells they have left in their brains. Every single time I come to this Pollo they get my order wrong. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I always go in praying for the best but it seems as my prayers never get answered. I will literally stand there watching them set up my meal, adding the wrong items to it(white instead of brown rice, regular half a chicken instead of all white meat although I specified and paid extra) and I have to correct them! I’m not about to sit here and list every single time that they have fucked up my order, but let’s just say that when you are ordering be prepared to get a lot of «QUE???» and«NOWEDONTHAVE» … how about that time that it was«No we don’t sell half a chicken breast chopped up on the side» even though it’s what I order almost every fucking day… but I digress. Just don’t go to this Pollo Tropical. Save yourself the stress and go to another location or Chicken Kitchen if you want a chop.

Poor poor poor. I’ve gone to this pollo tropical maybe 8 times because it’s so close to my home but it’s always terrible. Salad never has dressing. Very minimal protein on the chops. Service is very very slow. They always forget something. One time I receive a completely different order. I would recommend staying away from this pollo tropical.

This is the worst pollo tropical in the whole city. The food is great but staff is rude and they can never get an order right. Unfortunately this is my local pollo tropical so I have to go here, I just make sure I check everything to make sure I don’t get burn chicken or missing stuff when I get my order. Oh well better than McDonald’s!

I think the BEST pollo tropical is the one on 37th and merrick way! I think they’re the ones who cook the chicken best! Epecially in the afternoons. I’ve come at night it doesn’t taste as great. The black beans are delicious! I’ve noticed though that they’re not so consistent in taste. Most of the time they’re good but I’ve found that it’s not EVERYDAY! I guess it depends on the cook. I love their mojo for the yucca! Perfection. Believe it or not the ribs are pretty good. They also have a good deal on a small tropichip, which you can add anything you want to it, corn, onions, lettuce etc. and for a little over $ 5 you get it with a fountain drink as well. Lunch on a budget!

Usually Pollo Tropical is reliable, it’s my go to, it’s old faithful. Well not today. I came to the Gables for my cousin’s birthday party but when I parked the pay by phone was out of order. Pollo Tropical was right across from my space so I decided to get something quick to eat and get some change for my meter. While Standing in an abnormally long line for Pollo I realize there is no longer a cashier. I wait for another ten minutes and go to the front of the line and ask for change. The indifferent girl behind the desk tells me the manager is in the back and he’s the only one that can open the register. The generous group of Dominicans hear my predicament and gather 90 cents for my meter. As I run back from my spot the manager is still absent, my commiserators are becoming restless to say the least. Finally after another 10 minutes of waiting the manager makes his grand entrance with a rather unapologetic demeanor given the situation. I finally give my order and ask for change and to my surprise the manager/cashier replies; «sorry we don’t have any quarters». He then proceeds to give me 22 dimes to feed my meter. 30 minutes into this ordeal I finally receive my long awaited tropichop and to add insult to injury, there’s no mustard curry sauce(or any other sauce for that matter) in the sauce bar. But what really«grinds my gears» they tell me there’s no white rice! Really Pollo Tropical??? Really??? No white rice??? There’s white rice in my house at all times, how do you not have white rice? For shame Pollo Tropical! For shame!!!

Avoid the drive thru at all costs! It’s not the first time I’ve had to deal with eating something I didn’t order. I asked for a Tropichop with chicken, white rice, corn, and fried yuca. Strike 1: the cut up chicken jerky I received, strike 2: brown rice instead of white rice. Strike 3: the worst one to any driver, no straw with my drink.(Insert Meme Here) they say it’s important to check your food before you leave the drive thru, but at least put more effort into it!!!

Contacted Pollo tropical corp and well they pretty much blew me off told me that a supervisor would call and resolve the issue that I had when I visited the Coral gables store. I finally get a call from a quote on quote supervisor and she apologized and promised a couple of gift cards. I really didn’t care for the gift cards but of course out of that whole conversation, All I got was an apology. this place when it comes to Customer service, they suck and as well as their food. I will definitely go somewhere else and never come to this crappy place.

I don’t eat fast food, so it’s not like I miss it in downtown Coral Gables. But Pollo Tropical, while in the fast food category, is much healthier than any random burger joint. This particular location fills that fast food void in the area(along with that miserable Burger King on Le Jeune), and as such, the drive-through and tiny parking lot are always packed. If you are lucky enough to snag a parking space, do it. It’ll most likely be faster to walk in and order to go than to order from your car. I come here when I’m crunched for time, but the drive-through line doesn’t move very quickly. Yesterday I kept it simple and just ordered a kids meal(the chicken breast strips, which is really just a regular chicken breast that’s sliced) with an extra side. After finally pulling up to the window and paying, I realized they didn’t put the extra side in there. When I asked for it, the guy said he never heard me order it. No apology, no offer to get it quickly… so I said forget it and moved on. Thankfully my little meal satiated me just fine. The food is decent here, and even with the long drive-through wait, it’s still a good option to have a quick, relatively-healthy meal in the area.

Best pollo. This amazing restaurant is serving chicken that is marinated in some exotic tropical spices and herbs. This location is very busy as all of the other locations. Their parking lot is always full and you might wanna park in the street. They have new spicy sauce called(spicy poyo poyo) delicious! I also love the pineaple sauce. The fried plantain is from heaven!!! This is supposed to be fast food and i think it is way better than most of fine dining restaurants and i talk about taste and flavor of food. Will be back each time i’m in Miami

I was in the Gables and wanted to try out a quick salad therefore I went to Pollo Tropical. I haven’t been to the restaurant for a long time so I wanted to check it out. I managed of get a parking space, of course, it was an early afternoon and from what I saw the drive thru line was huge. I was tempted for a salad and I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla salad. I saw how they prepared it: a bit of lettuce, onions, cracked chips, Chicken chunks, a bit of corn, black beans, topped with cheese. Also had two cheese quesadillas with two chili sauces. When I mixed them up, it was really good and enjoyed every bit of it. I am so glad that I had the salad. Once I was done I was on my merry way home.

I love this Pollo Tropical This is my new favorite location! Why? — Food is delicious. — Flavor: it is seasoned and cooked perfectly. — They always serve Hot/Freshly Made. — By comparing to other Pollo Tropical locations, this is one of the best. «Recommend!»

Desperation brought us here. Time limit, no parking, the only fast food, reasonably priced eatery in the plush neighborhood, except for Denny’s across the street that is always packed. Both places have a free lot but it is jam packed. Tells you something about this area. Tourists don’t all want to spend mega bucks just to check out a spot. Food was typical as the other chains, I only can eat the beans and brown rice. They always question my choice… thats it? But my hubby makes up for it with his plate full of chicken and sides. Nothing really hot except for his chicken. Small tables, families had problems finding seats. It did its job and we left, thats about it.

This place is crap, today was my last day buying anything from this location. I’ve bought food here times within the last two months and every single time it’s never a good experience. Sadly this is one of the few places close to my job that I can go to when I work Saturdays. I ordered a chicken quesadilla wrap asked for no tomatoes, once i got to the window to pay I asked«Chicken wrap is without tomatoes right?» he answered yes. I went on my marry way and when I got to work the wrap was half cold(like wasn’t even fully cooked) and filled with tomatoes. Last time my chicken was burnt to the point where I couldn’t eat it at all.

Friends brought this over for lunch the other day. Either friends need to do better or I need new friends ;-) Go to Sergio’s or La Carreta instead. Spend just a little more money and drive just a little bit further to make your stomach happy. Trust me.

If you ever want to find out how hard it is to put together a plain chicken sandwich, check out this Pollo Tropical location. At first I thought it was a language issue, so I sent back my first sandwich and explained what«plain» meant in Spanish. I waited in my car for a couple of minutes, and then I was given the same sandwich again. Finally, with no apology, and grumpy-as-hell stares from the employees, on the third attempt I got a what I had ordered. My husbands rice was at least 3 days old, and the TropiChop had at most ¼ cup of tiny bits of chicken. I never go to fast food restaurants expecting to be served by Rhodes scholars, but simple manners and a grasp of basic comprehension in English or Spanish is always appreciated.
