Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar

WOW! That’s all i have to say to sum up what I was feeling at this place. The service, amazing, and the food next to none. would definitely go again over and over and over again. Best lomo salteada, wish it was bigger though.

Dr. Limon has good food, I’ll give it that. Not fantastic, but good.
However, our group was subjected to a little deception by one of the waiters. We were recommended the «Fire & Ice» appetizer, which we were told was enough to feed 3 – 4 people. It was described as a «sampler» — the waiter even described the size with his hands, putting them no more than a foot apart.
When we received the «Fire & Ice», it was much larger than described and was easily enough to feed 6 or 7 people as an appetizer. When the bill came, it was 54 dollars.
As a waiter, you don’t trick customers — especially if something isn’t on the menu, by improperly describing the size. I guess it’s a typical trick that some restaurants used to use in the past, but with the advent of Unilocal and other mass communication review sites, those practices have gone largely extinct. Not at Dr. Limon. Be careful with how much you spend here. For the quality of the food, it wasn’t worth it.
EDIT: Ok, ok I got some flack for giving this place three stars. I would give it a 3.5. Last time I was here, I had a more pleasurable experience. I got that lomo saltado. It was on point. I’m just a little salty about the $ 54 fire and ice. I shouldve known when they called it «fire and ice» and not «sampler platter» that it would be expensive.

Food was ballin. I recommend the lomo saltado or the ceviche that has ginger (forgot the name sorry).
The «fire and ice» appetizer was fire. In the sense that it literally burned a massive hole in my wallet. $ 54 big ones. That’s wild. The price wasn’t on the menu so I guess it’s my fault for my cheap-​ass not asking.

First time coming to the new location! Just as the one in Kendall, Amazing! Less people! Same food! I was sited right away, and the food came in pretty fast as well! In my opinion this is the best Ceviche/​Peruvian place I have ever been! Tamara the host was the most friendly person ever and Daniela our server was very attentive! Great service from her, She recommended me a new plate called chuchito beach and it was DELICIOUS! Quinoa, aji, and mahi! Great pleace and FOOD!

Great to have a nice restaurant by the house, but the drinks selection was not good enough to pair with the ceviche and entrée plates. They should really expand the wine collection and beer, there is also not enough seating. It is over priced for what they are giving. If the drink selection was better with upper class service I wouldn’t have mind spending the 10 dollars on a glass of wine and paying my 100 dollar bill. :)

If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, this is the place to be! So good! I ordered the Chicken Causa with Tallarines Verdes and let me tell you… I went home with a smile. The only thing is it took a while to sit down but the food made up for it. Would come again!

I didn’t know that closing at 11 meant closing at 10:40. We were refused service. Not a good way to start a new location

This place is awesome! Awesome customer service. The décor of the restaurant makes you feel like if you were in Brickell or SoBe. Drinks are awesome. Ceviche SPECTACULAR! Definitely will be coming back!

Very nice place, with staff very pro and friendly, I tried the ceviche rocotto, it was a pure delice ! My wife had anicuchos and lomo saltado and it was very good !
I will come back with pleasure as often as I can ! Thanks Dr ;-)

Same delicious food, same excellent service, same great décor, closer to Doral and everybody who think Kendall is to far. You can see the owner-​chef Brescia everyday supervising that everything is doing to perfection. Congratulations for this new restaurant.
