Stayed at the hotel and were too lazy to go out. Not that the pouring rain had to do anything with it. Menu and wine from their webpage seemed very appealing yet we were disappointed when we discovered that it was outdated and some of the dishes and wines we were looking forward to were not available anymore. The food was ok. Service was ok. Recommended wine was ok. Entrees came too fast directly after the appetizers.

Solid and respectable, you could do worse by going to Eos. Thing is, for the price point, you could also do better. Come in expecting decent food but I can’t say that anyone in my party was awed by what they ordered. The evening began on an odd note. No one greeted us at the entrance to the restaurant and when I gave the reservation name, I was, literally, walked around the entire dining room before I broke away from my ‘host’ and sat myself with my party. It’s not the biggest of deals but it’s also not the first impression you’d hope to have at a Viceroy property. Once seated, it was time for a drink. I ordered the Grapefruit Superstar. Herradura silver, St. Germain, ruby red grapefruit juice, and lime juice combined for a pleasant cocktail and a nice way to welcome the meal. My caprese salad was serviceable. Admittedly, on its face mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic are pretty common, but I’ve had caprese salads that have knocked my socks off. This one did the job. It didn’t wow me but it wasn’t at all offensive. For my main, I continued my beige exploration by ordering the chicken. I know, I know. Chicken? But I figure if a restaurant does chicken well, it can do almost anything well. And from the description(smoked paprika olive-roast chicken with lemon broccolini and parmesan-potato purée), it sounded like a good bet. And it was — good. But it wasn’t great. From the description, I anticipated a much more flavorful bite. The flavors(to my tasting) were rather muted. The meal ended on a stronger note with dessert. The passionfruit key lime pie(mango, kiwi, guava sauce, and raspberry sorbet) gave a glimpse as to the promise of the menu. I paired it with a chamomile tea to safely wind me down. The potential is huge at Eos and when things are running on all cylinders, I’m sure it’s an experience to be remembered. Unfortunately, to my experience(and those of my party), it was merely ‘okay.’ There are other options at similar price point.

EOS is beautiful and Albert at the bar was outstanding. Unfortunately the food iteself was mediocre and the kitchen was super slow. Truffle fries were nearly uncooked — those came out fast. We ordered the tuna sharing plate and steak salad which took almost an hour ordered at the bar. Tuna appetizer was sent back because it was fishy. Steak salad was tasty but the meat, ordered medium rare, came out rare and was very chewy. We did follow up with a caprese salad but by then, we were pretty disappointed. We cancelled a subsequent order for a burger because we thought it would take too long. For the prices, this place needs to step it up!

Very Pricey. Me and my gf went yesterday, $ 60 after 1 drink + lunch + the mandatory 18% tip they make you pay, PLUS the waiter wasn’t even good looking. No, I’m not kidding, if I’m going to pay $ 60 for lunch, I want a hot waiter.

Eos is really trying to put itself out there and it shows. They have a new Social Wednesday during which Happy Hour lasts from 5 — midnight with some great music being played by their resident DJ. The view is absolutely breathtaking — can’t be beat. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. Our waiter Said was wonderful. He explained to us all of the changes that Eos was undergoing and was very knowledgeable. I would give Eos the additional star if their food menu was just a bit more extensive and I think they are working on that. As an Icon resident, I will definitely be back! Thank you Rammel(that’s our concierge) for keeping us posted on all the great things happening right in our front yard!

I have only eaten here once — I had the caprese salad, and mussels. Both were delicious. I do, however go to EOS almost three times a week to have a glass of Champagne. You have to sit at the bar with Alberto — he makes great drinks, he’s nice and the popcorn is great.

This review is for two glasses of wine only and a look at the place. We were upstairs at Fifty, when we decided to break away to a quieter place to have some wine outside on the terrace. Upon arriving at the restaurant late, we were greeted by the nice bartender, there were hardly any staff or patrons at the venue. The bartender poured us some very large glasses of wine(the prices were high, but it made up for it). The wine both my wife and I got was good. We ended up drinking them outside, they have some lovely seating, but huge metal fences keeping the savages from the restaurant away from the pool venue. It was still nice. On multiple occasions I saw people eating who were upset about slow service and other mis-handling, but we ordered and paid at the bar and had no issues. Overall the menu looks interesting, but I don’t think I’ll come back for a specific trip there. The lunch looks decent, so maybe I’ll change my mind at some point, but who knows by the time I get around to it :)

I have to go back here to enjoy the menu but I really want to give KUDOS to the great staff at this restaurant — I also have to add I think Johnny could throw an event here too because the staff seemed really enthusiastic to break into 2013 with lots of fun events that attracted people and the maitre’d mentioned wanting to open up some happy hours that would last possibly up till 9:00PM(which would be more than OK in my book!). SO after fleeing a Unilocal event due to thirst I camped out on floor 15 of the sumptuous Viceroy Hotel and had a really decent glass of Malbec for $ 12. Feeling a tad famished I was treated to a free bowl of what had to be the BESTPOPCORN I have eaten since I was 12 at the Kansas State Fair — it was just ADULTPOPCORN; truffle butter popcorn, slightly cayenne pepper spiced popcorn — popcorn made for sin! Which is probably why I had three bowls. A really engaging expat from the Czech Republic who was one of our waiters said I could call him on his cell and he would deliver a drink to the 50th if I wanted to return to the party — since I knew I would return after the bar reopened I happily made my own little party right there. And a lovely shout out to Herman and Lisa who I was privileged to meet and swap stories.

This contemporary, but surprisingly generic, space in an otherwise inspiring building is good … but not great. And I’m a big believer that«good» is the enemy of «great.» Yes, the marcona almonds and charcuteries are artfully paired. Yes, the truffled salmon is delicately decadent. But the whole experience is uninspiring. I don’t think I would be exaggerating if I said I bet you’ve already eaten at this restaurant a thousand times. Stop me when this sounds familiar: white linen table clothes, heavy hotel décor, nouveau Euro-Americana cuisine, and a tab that will help lighten your wallet(as if you needed it). In a city known for offering world-class dining experiences that blend food and ambiance like art, I have to recommend you choose one of the other equally delicious — but more unique — options that abound here.

$ 45 for eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, salmon and a bagel, and a glass of orange juice. This was the total for breakfast for 2 at EOS! Not dinner! BREAKFAST! My bf and I were starving so we decided to eat here one morning for breakfast. Once we walked in, I should’ve known we were in trouble, because the place only had 6 people eating! Long story short, my meal of 1 sausage, eggs, potatoes and toast was around $ 16. And my bf’s bagel was around the same price. His glass of orange juice was $ 6 and even though it was freshly squeezed, I don’t even pay that amount for a ½ gallon of Tropicana. And how could I forget, «for your convenience 18% gratuity is added to your check». I went here again for a late night meal with my bf because we used our $ 20 in food vouchers that we got once we skipped housekeeping. That came in handy because after a pizza(which was good. I can’t lie Lil) and 2 sprites, that bill was $ 26 bucks! And we only paid $ 6. But save your money and take a walk to other places along Brickell!

I came here for my 6 month celebration with my boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED it! Great service, I really liked the style of the restaurant, nice relaxing music, I liked that the menu was short and sweet, directly to the point. I knew exactly what I wanted after the server explained THOROUGHLY their most appetizing plates, I ask a lot of questions and he was glad to help, had no hesitation. AWESOME service! The food was just amazing! I had the churrasco and he had the grilled chicken, those mashed potatoes were heavenly! As an appetizer we had the crusted parmessan mini balls(i think its called) very good also. The view of from where we were sitting was just so pleasant and relaxing. Overall the ambience is nice, going out to the terrace zipping on champagne was a plus! Recommend this place in a heartbeat!

I came here during Miami Spice and really enjoyed the food and service… The ambiance was the only thing that was a bit lacking, but I’ll forgive them because it was a Wednesday night. I’m not sure if the server had an ulterior motive of getting us really drunk, but he kept refilling our wine(at no charge). Then, they had a 4square check-in special of one free glass of prosecco, and he asked if we wanted it with our dessert. He brought all three of us prosecco and refilled it at least 2 times each. Again, all free. I think I was lucky that I went on a slow night which is probably why they were so generous with the alcohol. The food was also very good. Aside from the spice menu we also tried their Taste of Spain platter. The manchego cheese was amazing. It also came with some goat cheese croquettes that were to die for. My friends had the Roasted Corvina with little neck clams and mussels in a lobster broth. They both raved about it. I had the grilled churrasco that came with delicious potatoes in a basil-pesto sauce. It was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Eos is over the top! Marvelous view, great food, great ambience, what else can you ask for? Tried out the Miami Spice Menu, plus some other tid bits. It was so worth it! Butternut Squash soup, Lobster Ravioli and for dessert the Key Lime Pie! The service is superb! They really work to make sure you are happy. I had the joy to go for lunch with some new acquantainces which happen to have a passion for food like me! We had a blast!

Gorgeous views from this 15th floor restaurant in the Viceroy hotel. I’m a big fan of the hotel itself so that’s an automatic plus. Most of the dishes are tapas syle in the 16 – 20 dollar price range. You can stick to these and be pleanty full by the end of the night. I went with the short rib entrée at a whopping 45+ dollars, an unnecessary expense considering the affordable tapas dishes can be more than enough. I had the Risotta, and the short ribs. My gf had the hanger steak and the greek paella. The hanger steak was by far the best dish I had. The qual egg in the lobster risotto gave it kind of a yokey taste towards the end. The décor and service here are the best I’ve seen. Staff is very friendly and personable. Although I wasn’t 100 percent crazy about the short rib, the mix of price, taste and style of this place made it a sure 5 stars.

EOS restaurant is now«Bistro | e» at lunch time with a new menu and great specials such as 3 preselected dishes and a pint of beer for $ 15. Example: blood-e mary ceviche, mussels in salsa verde and a key lime pie. Tried the White Asparugus Salad w/Egg and Truffles, Heirloom Tomato Salad, Spicy Tuna Tacos and the Grilled Cheese BLT(w/o bacon) which had Kale for a nice twist with a side of fries that were potato chunks baked, squashed then fried(ala tostones). Amazing! Two of my meat eating friends raved about their Short Rib Tostada and the Meatball Sliders.(check out the food pics) Food, presentation, décor, service, all A+. Really… I was curious on their Lychee Lemonade with Ginger and got a free sample which worked as it was deliciously refreshing and I’ll be ordering it every time.

4.5 stars — and the review is for the weekday lunch when«Eos» becomes«Bistro E.» For $ 15, you get a large plate with three things — an appetizer, entrée, and dessert — and a pint of a common beer(which I substitued for a glass of Greek wine). To start off with, the red Greek wine was a nice surprise — it was sweet and good. I liked it, good for a light refresher in the middle of the day. For the large plate, it varies by the day. The day I went, I had meatballs with a slice of smokey grilled sourdough bread, fettucini with shrimp and vegetables, and tiramisu — and they all exceeded my expectations. Great flavor, good portions, certainly healthy tasting, and above all — filled me up. With the nice atmosphere, superb service, and the pool area 15th floor view of Brickell and the bay(optional) — this lunch is hard to beat! I’ll definitely return!

Last year I would have given this place a five+, after a stupendous day of brunch, mimosas and pool. This time, while still great, not as amazing. I don’t really understand why this place doesn’t have more traffic, lack of advertising maybe, I dunno its a real shame, because it’s a gorgeous place with good food. I don’t want it overrun, but it’d be nice to have more than two tables occupied. In the realm of brunch I think its an affordable alternative. You can go ala carte or go for the $ 20 brunch, which includes one of about five choices and according to the menu one mimosa or bloody mary.(I had an extra mimosa and was expecting to pay for it and didn’t) On my previous visit it was touted as unlimited mimosas, so now I’m confused and will have to ask. The previous visit also included access to the pool on the 50th floor and we lounged about up there with a absolutely fabulous view of the city sipping mojitos. This time I asked and was told the pool was only for hotel guests Granted the manager I asked was as snooty as snooty could be. She seemed to be reading from a mental script when she came to our table. The rest of the staff was very nice and attentive. Notes: French pressed coffee — delish Valet, is suppose to be free when eating, however snooty manager had run out of parking stickers and stapled a copy of our bill to the ticket, which was NOT ok by the valet staff below. I wasn’t up to going to battle so I paid the $ 5, embarrassingly then unable to tip the guy seeing as I was now cashless.

SETMENU: PARTY This hotel and restaurant are at the top of my list, in terms of design, ambiance and modernity. The place feels like it’s pulled straight out of a movie, and the food ain’t so bad either. Just don’t forget, you’ll play celebrity prices for places like EOS in Miami. I didn’t have to pay astronomical prices, of course, because I attended a university Friends & Family event here, on Monday night. The venue was perfect for a party(although a bit squeezed, because we were a LARGE party). The set menu included four appetizers, including: — Ceviche(excellent) — Tomato Salad(very good, a bit sweet and sour… tart) The entrees included a: — Steak, Bone Marrow and Garlic(very good — the most tender a flank steak can get) — Ricotta Ravioli(very tasty) The table was covered with side dishes, including roasted potatoes and mushrooms. These were very tasty… I mixed the mushrooms with the remnants of my ravioli sauce. Wines paired were very nice and well selected. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. For desert, we took the group into a side room with a view of the city. It was beautiful, and the room was perfect to hear our provost speak. Overall, a great experience.

so i decided to come here to take advantage of miami spice & decided upon lunch to minimize my spending. the décor in the hotel is pretty neat. the restaurant itself is located on the 15th floor(feet away from their famous & awesomely cool pool). i had the grouper ceviche to start(which was delish), the grilled flatiron hanger steak with mushrooms(very, very good) and the crema catalane for dessert. oh! and free unlimited Greek wine(which got me pretty tipsy) everything tasted great, however, the servings are quite small. good thing they gave complimentary bread. had it not been for that, i probably would have left hungry.
