We live here now and tried this at the poolside. The wings were ok as was quesadilla, nothing blew our minds away, although decent lemonade and icon royale. Would only go here for convenience

As an Icon resident, I only eat here if I’m out by the pool, and that’s where today’s story begins… Service is way too slow… To the point that after receiving a menu by the pool, I actually had to get up and place my order inside because no one has come by yet, and then after waiting 20 minutes outside to receive my order, I had to go inside to inquire about it twice only to see its sitting on the counter and I had to pick it up myself. We had the food which was good, although I ordered the spicy edemame which was not spicy at all but still palatable. We waited and waited for the bill which never arrived. I went inside to pay and was told«sorry, we’re closed.» Ummmmm, what? While this experience sucked big time, I don’t dash and dine, especially where I live, so, wtf? Luckily Victor, the manager, was there and when I explained to him what was happening, he genuinely seemed as confused as we were. He asked us to wait while he figured it out. He came back and explained that because the servers knew how bad the experience was, they decided to comp us except that they never got around to telling us(just like they never got around to serving us… We must have been sunning in a no fly zone!) He was extremely apologetic, comped us the meal, and gave us a free drink at 15 kitchen and Vine. While I’m still shocked at the service, I’m really impressed with the manager’s resolution and how quickly he took care of us(finally, someone!) I had initially reviewed them with 3 stars but thanks to this, changed my review. So if you’re found starving after ordering your food, just ask for Victor. He’s the only one who apparently gives a s**t.

I absolutely enjoy residing in icon for café icon. after the gym i go up and grab a protein smoothie. While at the pool friends and I will order drinks food etc. They change the menu seasonally to keep it interesting. Servers at the pool or you can dine in. Everyone’s every nice and accommodating. The food is really good for a café. Convenience at its best.

I live at The ICON, and this café is the most easily accessible location to get my coffee fix. Great service, hardworking employees, and the Café ICON crew ALWAYS makes my high maintenance specifically tailored coffee perfect(even when I have multiple a day). PS… They serve only the best illy coffee.

Café icon is a good restaurant overall and has indoor and outdoor seating. Ingredients are fresh, food is good quality and drinks are delicious. Never had a bad experience here with service. It’s a tad bit overpriced for what your getting but that is to be expected with the location. Very convenient for residents and hotel guests. Tip is included(18%) which none of the staff will tell you unless you ask. Be sure to ask for resident discount if you live in the building. Two of my favorite drinks here are the icon lemonade and the coconut dream. Salads are super fresh and the dressing is yummy. Enjoy!

The service started out awful but did improve. In the service industry if you have an attitude you need to believe that customers pick up on it. Thankfully your coworkers can too and if they’re nice enough they’ll try to work it out for everyone.

I have lived in the building for three years now and I have absolutely no complaints about Café Icon. They do a great job with maintaining quality, and provide great poolside service. I’m not sure how u can rate them lower than a four.

Ordered a marocchino which apparently is new on their menu and«no-one orders it». There was some confusion as to what it actually was but they made us 2 anyway. What we got was a very nice ice-coffee drink in a 12oz plastic cup. A marocchino is chocolate liqueur, hot coffee and cream powdered with chocolate in a shot class. I didn’t like the atmosphere at all.

Non-alcoholic drinks are a rip off at café icon. My main beef with the prices is that there are no signs to inform customers of the high prices(a can of coke is $ 5): After they swipe your credit card is when you find out. Plus, be vary of the servers only including the credit card receipt that you sign — gratuity is already included but not shown on this receipt. The unaware customer is likely to unknowingly add additional gratuity. I believe in tipping my servers and understand that you may pay more for the ambiance of a particular setting but the purposeful withholding of information from your customers is what I find rather infuriating about this place.

I am a very picky eater and upon moving into the Icon, I was skeptical if I would like this restaurant that I would most likely be frequenting anyways. To my surprise, the food was EXCELLENT! I always order just a chicken sandwich(not on the menu — plain sandwich) with red peppers, lettuce and choulula(not sure if this is spelled right.) Or the Arugula salad with chicken! I ask for both of these warmed up whenever I get either of the two. I have very particular orders but over time the servers(Johanna I believe) and another server(don’t know her name unfortunately) recognize me and place my order before even asking. It’s a great feeling to know that you are being taken care of with excellent service. It is really a great place to grab something to eat! Their menu is fantastic! They also have fruit smoothies as well and pretty much a full bar so definitely take advantage!

The nearest café by viceroy gorgeous pool, I tried the caesar salad, it was so so and the other time I had their chicken Parmesan sandwich and it purely satisfied my hunger but not my taste buds and so was their mojito. Next time will just ask for iced water!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The service is impeccable, especially from Johanna and Pilar. We’ve been there 3 times, and each time they have made us feel like family. It has a good menu for the type of place that is is — not extensive, but everything is exceptionally well-made and there’s enough variety to please any palate. But, what makes this a 5-star place is the service! This past weekend, we walked from a neighboring hotel across the river just to have lunch here and, even though the place was packed, we got the same great service we’ve had when there were only a few people in the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!

Oh my. Considering the number of times that I’ve stayed at the Viceroy… how has it taken me this long to make it up to the pool deck, and why have I never spent a gloriously sun-drenched afternoon working from peaceful, airy comfort of Café Icon? Additionally, the views are spectacular in either direction, whether you’re facing out into the bay or you’re gazing across the glittering cerulean expanse of the rooftop pool. The service is impeccably warm, welcoming, and professional. And the food is surprisingly reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. My Tuscan salad was piled high with crisp lettuce, artichoke hearts, slivered sun-dried tomatoes(which I adore!), sliced mozzarella, and tender shaved grilled chicken. The ingredients were arrayed in a burst of color on the stark white plate. Each crunchy leaf of lettuce seemed to be hand-picked; I couldn’t detect a single flaw to a single one. And did I mention the service? –So– polite. I was welcomed warmly upon entering, offered a menu, and asked to seat myself wherever I liked. Not once did I say«thank you» without a «you’re welcome» or «it’s my pleasure» in response. My iced tea never went below half-full. And all this service with a smile. Like that’s not amazing enough, the back room offers a sumptuous couch with a beautiful coffee table and not one, but three giant flat panel TVs playing all different channels. This is like the obscenely decked-out home office/den I never had. NB: As others have mentioned, beware the automatic 18% service charge.

If this place was a store front café it’d be packed with Brickell residents surfing the net on Macs and iPads all day, drinking coffee, sipping bottled water, and soaking in the light. I stopped into Icon recently for some much needed quiet, online time and it was perfect. What struck me most this time is the spa meets coffee house feel of the café and the small but varied selection of goodies they carry regularly. The menu at Café Icon will soon be changing, but hopefully, the service will remain. Joanna, is fantastic and really understands the art of hospitality.

I had a latte and Greek yogurt with granola and fresh berries. First off, the coffee was great. The steamed skim milk was done notably thoroughly and gave the latte a thick, frothy texture. The yogurt was creamy as well, but paired nicely with the crunchy bits of toasted granola and tangy blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. It may have simply been because we were on vacation, but I swear all the fruit down there is just juicier and plumper. Jay went for the breakfast burrito — scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa in a toasted wheat tortilla. It was a bit small for him, but that’s what all serving sizes should be when you’re getting ready for a day in the sun. Each ingredient was really fresh and the eggs made fluffy. The salsa added a nice kick to the otherwise mild-flavored wrap.

Dear Café Icon, You are a life saver!!! While on our Unilocal Pisco Bus adventure we realized that we needed to eat, and ASAP. The fiancé and I had not even had breakfast, and we had been drinking like champs for a solid 2 hours at this point. Not to mention that we had a LOOOOOOONG day ahead of us. Knowing that you existed on the 15th floor, we quickly snuck away from our group in order to save ourselves the embarrassment of possibly getting sick all over the Pisco Bus. LOL We sat down and were quickly approached by our waitress. We ordered a cappuccino and a water, and perused the menu. Within 30 seconds I had decided on a Prosciutto Caprese sandwich, and he chose the roast beef and Swiss, both of which came with chips(or salad). Our food came out rather quickly; I think maybe 15 minutes max. The sandwiches were hot and delicious!!! The bread was a bit hard, not from being stale, but from the kind of bread that was used. It was super tasty and gave my jaw a work out! Some other Unilocalers in need made their way out there and also ordered some grub. I think this little hidden gem saved us all from the fate of the alcohol! Thank you Café Icon for being exactly what we needed! Kind Regards, SabrinaAnna*
