*disclaimer* Purchased a deal on Dealfind which was to include a haircut, wash, deep conditioning treatment, aromatherapy, and partial highlights or full color and coffee or glass of wine. I didn’t expect the red carpet treatment due to this, and base my review/rating on that fact(would have been one star had I paid full price). Let me just start with this: I am glad that my schedule was open that day and had time to waste because WOW it would have been a nightmare if I had somewhere to be that day! I made an appointment as required and arrived to the salon at 10:35am — about 5 minutes late(I called to advise that I was running behind. The owner(Abby) said it was alright as his previous client was late as well.) No one acknowledged that I had entered the salon. No one was at the reception desk either so I patiently waiting for an acknowledgement. Waited about 15 – 20 minutes and was sat for a consultation with the owner, who was to be styling my hair. Once the consultation was done I was asked to sit down again to wait. The owner was running around and attending two people at the same time — not a good sign. I was finally started at around 11:30. Conditioning treatment and sat under a dryer for 20 minutes. Once the dryer was done I sat there unattended for another 10 minutes. I was moved over to shampoo and wash and had a wet towel scented with eucalyptus aromatherapy placed over my face. There was NOTHING relaxing about this — there are only two wash basins here which were both occupied and one of the other stylists kept coming over to check if I was finished. After this I sat to get a hair cut… but the owner was still attending someone else while I was in the chair so he kept running back and forth between me and the other person and whatever else grabbed his attention. It was very disconcerting. At one point he was attending three of us simultaneously. Same thing when he started to blow dry my hair(I was not interested in getting highlights or dye so I was able to switch that for the blow-dry)… it took forever to dry my hair and normally it takes about 20 minutes when I do it on my own… so this was kind of ridiculous. He would start to dry then stop and walk away… repeatedly. I wasn’t thrilled with the blow-dry either. The cut was just okay — nothing special. I ended up leaving at almost 2pm. I was STARVING! All in all I will not be returning. I spent almost FOUR hours(10:35am — 2pm) for what should have taken less than two! Abby was very nice but the experience was terrible and not even worth the discounted price I paid. I also wasn’t offered coffee, soda, wine, not even water. I had to ask for a cup to get my own water and the girl who gave me the cup looked at me like I was putting her out. You get what you pay for! LOL. I still tipped on what the full cost would have been but I probably shouldn’t have. So yeah, I’m a nice person but that doesn’t mean that you’re going to get a repeat customer out of me. Word of advice to the owner, Abraham/“Abby”: you should work on being more attentive to one customer at a time rather than just trying to get them all done at once… And train your staff to at least say hello to people when they walk in the door. Ridiculous. Never again.

I walked into this salon not impressed at all. The owner insisted on taking the phone when I called to book using«Dealfind.com» for a haircut, wash, blowdry and partial highlight for $ 29.00. I thought. what a deal! YOU get what you pay for. Way out of my way located in West Sunset Drive area. It was a long drive for me from Brickell. The owner took my coupon and sat me. NO one speaks english except for him. THUMBS down for that but it was west sunset. He looked at my 3 lb. yorkie that i had with me in dismay. So that made me uncomfortable. Come on, my dog weighs 3 lbs and is so well behaved who sits on my lap. He took a towel and COVERED my yorkie with it and said«oh I don’t want to get anything on your dog». STRIKE2. Dude, you do that again to my yorkie and it’s lights out. How rude. You may not like animals but give me a break that was disrespectful. He bragged how great his business is and he prides himself on perfection, then pulls out a pad to write down«extra» charges. Said it will be EXTRA $ 25.00 for a blowdry, and extra for color. I said absolutely not, the coupon said it’s included, then he played dumb as if he didn’t realize. STRIKE3. NO glass of wine like the coupon said. Which is fine. He added a glaze to my hair after the the highlights(which came out uneven and off color) and tells me it’s a special blend of conditioners but wouldn’t tell me what it was. It’s GLAZE. My mom used to get that after her color in the 70’s. It’s been out for ages. NO magic secret there. I just didn’t like this guys attitude and the blow dry dried out my hair after he put a ton of mousse in it. Mousse is loaded with alcohol so talk about lecturing about dry hair then using that! The cut was good. That’s it. I won’t ever go back. TRYFERNANDA’S on South Beach. Collins ave. LOVE it there and less expensive and they are SUPER friendly.
