My girlfriend was in the mood for ceviche at 10 p.m. I chose this restaurant from what I saw on the reviews on Unilocal.Needless to say I made a good choice. The fish ceviche was fresh and the soup my girlfriend order was great. I took a look at the food around me that other people ordered for example the Lomo saltado and it look very good. The meat look tasty and well cooked. I have to say I will come back to try the rest of the menu. I order this Ceviche platter that’s not on the menu. I suggest you ask for it because it was really good and believe me when I say that is all you need. I couldn’t finish it. Order it and you’ll know what I’m talking about. But to wrap this up I wasn’t disappointed. Please excuse me for my lack of vocabulary words. I think I’m falling into a food coma.

Came to this restaurant for the first time on Mother’s day. The LOMOSALTADO was delicious as well as the CEVICHEDEPESCADO. The owners and staff were very nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Excellent place! I hidden gem in Kendall. The owner is very attentive and will recommend you meals based on you taste or craving. I recommend el Ceviche Frito, it is truly out of this world. You won’t regret it!!!

What a disgrace… Keep away from this place. Re-heated 2 day old dry thawed chicken. The waitress explanation was«ridiculous» and totally against fresh food preparation. I could not believe my ears: «yes, the chickens ate halfway cooked, then frozen, then thawed and finished the microwave» !!! The cook/owner/chef had the courage to come out and ask how the food was. As not to blow my cover, I let the situation develop and run its course. The check was $ 30+ for old dry chicken. The baked potato was dry, cut in thick slices and cracked due to dryness. definitely not a place for roasted chicken. I will be back to review the ceviche so watch out Pietro’s!

Best ceviche I have ever tried, the staff is very attentive and polite. Overall great quality service and food. The lomo saltado is also delicious. I can’t wait to try more of their peruvian cuisine.

I had a ceviche on an outing with my family. The food was really good, and I loved the small, roasted corn kernels on the side. The green hot sauce that they serve with the pre-meal bread is deliciously spicy and compliments the ceviche well(if you don’t it all before the ceviche arrives– or just ask for more). Also, the service we received was really attentive. This is the perfect alternative to the other Peruvian restaurant a few doors down(which is usually packed). You will be quickly served and you won’t be disappointed with the ceviche.

Walked in & placed an order To Go The front desk lady said to come back in 20 min perfect !(We ordered soup, ceviche & chaufa) So we left walked around the plaza and went into Don Pan to kill some time and nibble on some food since I was starving Walked back to Pietro’s after about 15 min since she told us to come back in 20 min so we get there and they said it’s not ready give us like another 10 min Okay no problem :) So we sat in the restaurant to wait and time and time went by Totally ignored us and when we asked the status of the food they would say 10 more minutes … 45min — 1 hr later my bf and I decide to get up get our money back and leave because this is ridiculous Two couples/families came sat & ate and we were still waiting for our food And when we were getting our $$ back we saw the soup and ceviche being pulled out the only thing missing was the chaufa which they could of at least told us was taking long but no, they have horrible service and another couple there had to walk to the front and pay because they were taking forever They need to work on service and communication to their customers if they don’t want to lose then.

I have had Peruvian food from NY, PA, NJ, and CT and when I was on vacation with my boyfriend and his family(who are true Peruvians) we stumbled upon the most amazing little Peruvian restaurant. We were on our way to La Bodega which is two doors down and the owner of Pietro’s stopped us while we were about to get out of the car and persuaded us to come and try his ceviche and leche de tigre. We decided to walk in and try it out; this amazing ceviche came out, so we stayed for drinks, appetizers, ceviche, entrees, chicha morada, and picarones. It was so delicious and fresh!!! The owner and his wife really made our visit special and I’ll be visiting again before I fly back home to New Jersey. Definitely stop by and get some ceviche!

This place exceeded my expectations. Everything was great, from the bread to the ceviche. The owner had given my mom and I a menu one day as we were walking towards another restaurant and he told us that if we were dissatisfied, he would give us our money back. He said it would be the best Peruvian restaurant and it sure was!

Hadn’t been here in a while and the name has changed so we weren’t sure if owners had changed, I believe so. However, food and service were both amazing! The owners wife was our waitress and she was a little busy but still Managed to deliver great service. The owner is an extremely friendly and passionate guy! You can definitely tell he loves what he does and loves getting into the kitchen to make his own creations! Food was great! We had the anticuchos as appetizer, then my boyfriend had the lomo Saltado and I had the leche de tigre. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back!

We came here by chance, we’re heading to Dr Limon but the wait was too long and we decided to look for another option nearby. We were very lucky, food was excellent, great service and it was great to talk to Pietro. The fried ceviche was super unique, the pescado a lo macho was excellent!

I didn’t even wait to leave the restaurant to start writing my review. My gut feeling is usually spot on and I should have left when I noticed the smelly dirty restroom and the empty restaurant! Another obvious indicator that you’re not eating at a genuine Peruvian restaurant is… NOPERUVIANS eating there! DUH!!! Still I didn’t walk out, my fault! My server was very young and obviously new, I have nothing negative to say about her service, she tried. She took my order and simply repeated it the Owner(the wife) so I know she heard her say MEDIUM on the Streak. The menu had 2 prices for what I ordered Spaghetti Pesto w/Steak: $ 14.95& $ 17.95, I knew that I was not going to be happy when the bill arrived, I just knew it! The moment my steak arrived I knew it had been over cooked, and from the looks of the lazy chef it didn’t surprise me. It was tough and chewy, the pasta was stuck together and not Al Dente. Ok finally the moment of truth or should I say lies! The young server brings out the check and when I look at it I almost chuckled out loud. I asked her to please bring me a menu, because I was positive I did not see that price on the menu. So I asked the young server, why do I see 3 prices? $ 14.95, $ 17.95, and my bill $ 20.45! SURPRISE! When I called the owner over to ask why I was charged $ 20.45 for a dish that shows $ 14.95 or $ 17.95 her response was«oh the price of meat has gone up because it’s more expensive to buy meat nowadays» I could have made a big deal out of this situation, but my sanity and time is more valuable. On top of the owners shady, crooked and unprofessional pathetic excuse, they also include a «Service Charge» of 15% on your bill. This place is a complete scam and I’d advise to stay far away as possible. The food is bad, the prices are a surprise and the service is below average. NOTETOSELF: Next time you’re not feeling right, just leave!

I used to come here when it was called«El Pollon» about 2 years ago and the food was delicious and fresh. I went back yesterday around 8 pm and the place had no customers. I was told it was under new ownership. Anyway, I ordered an arroz chaufa de mariscos to go and within about 8 minutes I it was handed to me. I was shocked on how fast it was made it usually take around 30 min. on average at other places. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left home. When I opened the food it was sad. I looked old and the mariscos tasted stale. I tasted some of it because I was really hungry. I won’t go back there again. The food is not fresh.

The place was pretty empty and the food took forever to come out. The appearance of the restaurant was uncomfortable, couldn’t decide if it looked clean enough. The music was extremely annoying and the ceviche was mediocre at best… Service was extremely poor! All I could here from other tables and servers was«where is my food» and«everything is coming soon»!!! Ugh how annoying! Oh the portions are tiny! Owner was extremely pleasant an apologetic. Will consider coming back to give place a second chance… Stay tuned…

Ceviche was very fresh. The anticuchos were cooked perfectly. My only complaint food wise would be that the Jalea didn’t come with enough shrimp. Gratuity of 15% came included for a table of two, which I did not really care for. I would up leaving 18% but I don’t think it should be automatically included in the check unless you have a larger party.

We came to have breakfast at a place next door and decided to try this one out instead. We are so happy about our decision! We were greeted at the door by the owner, and service was impeccable. We ordered the Lurin breakfast, with a pork Tamal, and fried pork done to perfection. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. My wife is Peruvian so don’t take this recommendation lightly! Come eat here, now.
