Pizza Fiore

Claustrophobic hole in the wall. I went with my family on an unseasonably cold day after hearing positive feedback from friends. Did not expect a cramped gally with only a small bar strip as table. The pizza was greasy but flavorful, the dough appropriately chewy. Price was quite high for what amounts to virtually ZERO service. In contrast, delivered Pizza Hut or Papa Johns in the warmth and privacy of our own home seems preferrable.

Overpriced pizza & rude phone service.
They have a huge banner outside their store that says pizza for $ 8.99. I call to place an order — medium pizza is $ 10.99… the sign is for pick up only. okay, i choose to order my pizza, he charges me w/​o telling me the final price, so I ask… $ 15, for a medium pizza and a can of coke — I don’t thinks so. So I cancel the order nicely, and the man hangs up on me — WHAT! Guess I won’t even order for pick up.
Yup — I’m cheap with pizza — but a business should never ever hang up on a customer!

After 4 hours of setting up the bar at a party we got hired to work, my team and I were hungggry! We got in the car and only had limited time since we had to be back for a meeting prior to the party starting. It was at SOHO, so all the good restaurants people suggest were closed, such as Enriqueta’s. I spotted out the corner of my eye, a lit up sign reading Pizza; we figured since pizza is quick and it wasn’t a chain we should try it out.
We walked in and the place was rather small but quiet, complete opposite of the night we had ahead of us. We ordered a large pizza, half pepperoni, half cheese and a Greek salad.
The owner began preparing our pizza as we devoured the salad, delicious! I was with 2 fellow bartenders, females, none the less we ate up all but two slices of the pizza, and it was greeeeaaatt, like Kellogg’s frosted flakes. It had only taken 15 minutes or so to prepare and the place only got 2 more customers while we were inside.
The two slices were swallowed whole when we took them back to the meeting, but more importantly we were well off on food for the evening. It did the job, allowing us to work like machines!
A must try when in the area, especially when places close at night. I would definitely suggest to any partiers in the area, and I will be going back, I know my staff already has!
