Stayed here for business trips all the time. Convenient location, got all the essentials, complimentary bottled water upon arrival. Not great, not bad.

Clean! It smells clean and fresh as soon as you walk through the doors. Friendly staff, fresh baked cookies in the evening, good breakfast choices, coffees, teas, juices. Restaurants within walking distance and easy access to more restaurants and shopping. Nice area. The room was average but clean, comfortable, and roomy.

We stayed here for three nights July 2014. We arrived and were greeted with a smile and a couple of cold bottles of water. We were asked the purpose of our trip. Our room was ready(we were after check-in time) and was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the dorm sized fridge. The breakfast was good. Warm selections each morning that changed along with cold items that were consistent(cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, fruit) Bread in a zip lock in case you wanted to make a PB&J for later for example. Waffle maker in the shape of Texas was a nice touch. We came back the first afternoon from our travels there was a gift bag with a nice note signed by all the staff congratulating my son on his first job. It was a very nice touch. Oh, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and nice smelling shampoo/body wash.

If you plan on sleeping past 7am, go somewhere else. The cleaning staff yells from one end of the hallway to the other all morning. When I made the front desk aware of the issue, she couldn’t have cared less. She made no attempt to remedy the situation. I’ll never stay here again. At $ 230 a night, you’d think it’d be better than a motel 6.

Great location for my undesirable trips to Midland! Clean has great amenities and friendly staff.

I used to stay here all the time. It seems the relatively recent remodel has gone down hill fast. The bathrooms were kind of dingy. The faucet in the tub was not attached correctly. The breakfast had a great variety, but the coffee was AWFUL and the creamer was old. The positive on the fitness center is it’s open 24 hours, but it’s tiny with 3 cardio machines — the bike being broken. And I had to get cups for the water cooler from the kitchen. I will say the staff is still top notch: friendly and professional. Probably should be 2.5 stars. I will definitely be staying in a different hotel on my next trip.

What is the deal with hotels selling out so fast in Midland? This Fairfield is nice, but the price was much higher than normal for this level of a hotel. It’s in a very good neighborhood, close to all of the shopping and restaurants. Check in staff was friendly, wifi was fast, and it was quiet at night. The TV channels were great with Bravo, MTV, E!, not just the typical CNN and ESPN. I would stay here again, but probably going to check out different options.

For $ 135, I’d like a few more amenities, but really there’s nothing wrong with the Fairfield Inn. The staff seems friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and of reasonable size. The hotel offers easy access to restaurants(walking distance to Abuelo’s, Jason’s Deli, Outback, and more) and the freeway, which I found convenient. And I appreciate the free wi-fi and self parking, which some Marriotts do not offer. The fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker make this a good choice if you’re staying for more than one night. Sadly, my fridge was broken(but they did replace it). The free breakfast is decent, but only if you like carbohydrates. They offer bagels, waffles, muffins, cereal, toast, yogurt, milk, hard boiled eggs, some frozen microwavable bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits(avoid those, trust me), juice, and coffee. The coffee was not refreshed, as far as I could tell, so by 8 am it wasn’t very hot and tasted pretty sour. Oh well. They offered fresh baked cookies one afternoon, which was a nice touch. As for fitness, the indoor pool might appeal to some people, but I’d rather have a bigger, better weight room instead. As it is, the fitness center is clean and bright, but quite small. It consists of one elliptical, one bike, one treadmill, and a rack of dumbells. The cardio machines were in top condition and are equipped with their own TVs, which was pretty nice. I definitely wouldn’t warn anyone against this hotel, but I’m going to look around for a better value next time I’m in town.
