Still fighting with Hilton over our refund due to thier negligence on over booking. I was told on the phone by a representative named Kedisha that we would be refunded our money due to the inconvenience of having to lug our kids to another hotel across town at 10pm. And not being able to have a suite like we had booked. Its now been a week so I called and spoke with Teresa Bishop who found the notes stating I was due a refund but that I needed to submit proof of payment to verify I had the charges on my account. So I did as I was instructed and emailed my cc statement showing the charges and never got a confirmation response that it was received. Called to find out the status and spoke with Collett Chris who now says there are no notes from Kedisha or Teresa Bishop to support my claims!!! Like I’m just making this up!!! When I asked for them to review the recording of the calls to substantiate my claims I was transferred to ANOTHER supervisor. This time Kim Freeman is who I spoke with and she is saying the same that since no one documented it in my file there is nothing they can do. Supposedly they are going to review the call recording and get back with me. I’m PISSED that now I’ve not only been charged for a hotel suite I never stayed in, but I’m basically being called a liar as well about my refund!!!

Stayed overnight. Fast check in, room was clean. Beds were comfortable, but we could hear people talk at 5am… Not as sound proof as one would expect. Great complimentary breakfast. The food was pretty good and the attendants were nice and helpful.

The hotel isn’t worth the price. Their bed is old and uncomfortable. Their door doesn’t have a good seal so you can hear everything. There’s better hotels in the area. Only stay at this hotel if you are desperate.

I don’ t understand why hotels even bother to ask for your preferences when they clearly don’t even read them. I had to remind them including this place. This Hampton Inn is right beside the freeway. Every time a vehicle drives by I can hear it as well as feel it. The bed vibrates as vehicles pass by. The room is of moderate size and clean. But this is no fancy hotel like ones in Vegas or Los Angeles yet the price for one night is around $ 300. No bar, no restaurants, no swimming pool… etc yet they charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Paper thin walls, did not get a great nights sleep, which is sad considering I am normally a huge fan of Hampton Inns. I would recommend more insulation or sound proofing technologies for this hotel, however due to the oil boom right now, Hampton will likely just take the money and run!

Stayed two nites(fri. And sat.) Nice staff — clean rooms — had some trouble with toilet and lights and was told maintenance would not get to it until mon. Pretty discouraging for the price they get. The elevator has a sign that says renovations are on progress but we saw no work being done or even any workers around. These rooms are over priced because of the oil boom. Went down sat. morning to extend stay and got a cheaper price because we are AARP members. Booking on line doesn’t offer that discount v

If service was only the criteria, it would be a five. But rooms need updating especially the tube tv’s. The bedding has seen better days also.

Why are hotels in Midland so expensive? I just paid over $ 150 to stay here. In Lubbock, the rate was only $ 100, and the property was pretty much identical. Nevertheless, I like this hotel pretty well. My room features free internet, a fridge, a microwave, coffee service, and a comfy bed. Is this as nice as my house? No. But the front desk staff seems friendly, and the property appears clean and well maintained. There’s enough space to get some work done at the desk or to relax on the couch. I would choose this over the Fairfield Inn where I stayed on my last visit to town.
