Food is great but the service is horrible. Every time I go, I’m disappointed. The servers are starting to give this place a bad reputation.

I have yet to have a bad meal here. Their bread, pizza, sandwiches, and salads are all fantastic. Sometimes they seem a little short staffed, but everything is worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This has become one of our favorite places to go!

We sat at the bar while waiting for our pizza to go. Not a bad ambience and pizza had a perfect crust.

This place is set up for success but once seated, service was miserable and took very long to even get waters. Too many big parties and more they could handle, go on a weeknight and stick with the pizza. Should be alright

Disappointed in my experience with the service. I’ll caveat that by saying the pizza is good. It’s not amazing. Actually, both pies we ordered came out soggy — one very soggy to the point where a slice could not be picked up, and one just a little soggy but still easy to pick up. They were tasty, though. I placed an order over the phone using their online menu, and was told that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later, I arrived at the restaurant and was told that the pizza I ordered was no longer on the menu and I could order something else. I was also told that the other small pizza I ordered would NOT be large enough for two people. So I placed an order for another small and was told they would rush it. The hostess rang me up for the order and I went to wait. About ten minutes(maybe five, my timing may have been off), the hostess comes to me and tells me that they actually had made the pizza I originally ordered, so she had refunded my credit card the original cost and rang up the new(original) more expensive order before consulting with me. At that point, I think a reasonable place would have just eaten the additional five or six bucks, but they didn’t. I don’t have a lot of faith that I won’t have to call this restaurant to reverse the other charge. Anyway, the steak tips were good, but the Zeus pizza may as well have been soup. Just get a steak tip sub.

This review is strictly for their pizza. Having moved up to the area after spending the first 35 years of my life in the NYC area, I was horrified by the quality of pizza I was encountering. While I wouldn’t call Pep’s pizza NYC caliber, it is definitely good enough to keep me happy and coming back. And their Tuesday/Sunday dine-in pizza specials are a can’t miss…

I’ve been going to this location and formerly the Framingham location for years. I’ve never really had any food complaints but I always get pizza which is obviously their specialty. I usually get the margherita pizza although I’ve had other varieties and loved them all. I took someone here for their first time the other night and we split a simple large half-cheese half-pepperoni. He loved it and proclaimed it his new favorite pizza place as well. Luckily for him, he lives in Milford. Service is definitely hit or miss which is why I’m only giving 3 stars. During the last visit, my drink was served in a Boston Marathon 2015 glass and my boyfriend asked our waitress where he could get them(he’s into beer/beer mugs). She immediately went and got 2 glasses and told him he could keep them, which was really sweet. Actually, she was great throughout the meal – very attentive and prompt. My issue is with the rude man on the staff with dark hair who came to our table about 10 minutes later, reached over us, grabbed the glasses off the table, and attempted to quickly walk away without saying anything. My boyfriend said, «Well actually, I think our waitress kinda gave us those???» Guy’s response(while rudely smirking and shaking his head): «NAH, plus we’re short on glasses.» And him and the glasses disappeared. Alright then… The waitress came back a few minutes later and asked where the glasses were so we told her what happened. She was clearly irritated and shook her head and said, «No way, we’re not short on glasses – we have cases and cases of those out back! I’m really sorry.» As it turns out, she’s the one who does the ordering for the bar area, so she was fully aware of the situation. She brought back another 2 glasses and told us to hide them in order to bring them home so the other guy wouldn’t «catch» us again. We tipped her over 25% because of the trouble and because HER level of service deserved it. Bottom line: we felt we had been ‘scolded’ by the rude worker and it really didn’t sit well with me, especially since I’ve spent so much money there over the years. It was totally inappropriate to talk a customer in that way. It would have been an otherwise perfect experience had it not been for him. That was also not the first time I have experienced unprofessionalism among the staff, although to be fair some of the bad experiences happened in the now-closed Framingham location.

AMAZING pizza! Living in ashland, there really are not many great pizza places. I finally found the pizza I’ve been looking for! Got the tomato and mozerella salad, which was good. I had the white pizza and split it with a friend. We both had leftovers to take home. We stayed an extra hour to get some drinks at the bar and listen to the live music. Very fun! Great atmosphere and good service. I would definitely recommend this place to locals and out of towners!

Stopped in to try this place. Aside from the postage stamp-sized parking lot, and the fact that it is more a sports bar atmosphere than a restaurant/bar, I was impressed. Our service wasn’t bad, although I think we were halfway through our meal at shift change. Not withstanding, everything came out in a timely fashion. We started with the chili. I usually base my opinion of the food on the starters, but this chili kinda sucked. With more jalapeños than meat, it was more like over spiced chili soup. Decent flavor, but lacking any substance. We also got the fried pickles. Tough to screw up, these were pretty generous and done perfectly. Could have gone a little lighter on the«Cajun» spice dust. Then our pizza came! We ordered a pepperoni Sicilian. I have found a local place that does a super job on a Sicilian pizza! The crust wasn’t too doughy, it was cooked perfectly. There was not an excess of the sauce, which was a really good sauce. And there wasn’t massive gobs of cheap cheese on it. Big, thinly sliced deli-style pepperoni was the crowning touch on a memory-invoking pie. Because the food was very good and the service was adequate, I was able to tolerate the hoots and hollers of the sports fans encroaching on my dining experience. I don’t understand why grown adults yell at TVs because someone is playing a game that has NO effect on their lives, but whatever. Had there been 7 less TVs in the place, I would have rated them better.

I’ve always liked the food here and haven’t bad a bad experience food-wise. However, I was very disappointed with the service at the bar. The two girl bartenders seemed less than thrilled about serving two women at a bar full of men. There were multiple signs hung around the bar promoting pizza by the slice after 10pm. when I asked if they had any slices the bartender rudely said no and did not offer a full pizza or an alternative option. As we were walking away(after leaving a good tip as we are both bartenders/waitresses) we heard the two bartenders talking badly of us to other guests. That sort of thing makes me not want to return to a restaurant. As good as the food is, if I do not feel welcomed by the servers, I honestly have no desire to give money to the bartender/server or the restaurant in general.

I enjoy this place greatly. The food is really good. Also I see some comments about the waitstaff not being friendly but I would have to disagree as I have been there on multiple occasions and it has always been a wonderful experience with an extremely friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place!

This is a great little place. Went tonight with the fam. Mushroom Swiss Burger was awesome. The Wife’s fish Sandwich was awesome. The bread they serve before the meal is some of the best I have ever had. The kids Spaghetti & Meatballs by all reports were pretty good. The price was fantastic and the service was fast & friendly. Really, for a small Pub type place this is about as good as you get.

Although the food is okay, the service leaves something to be desired. When I asked what the Sam seasonal was, the waitress pointed to the drink list(which said«Sam Seasonal») and didn’t offer any additional information on which seasonal was on tap. I then ordered a Harpoon IPA and had to remind them to bring it to me 10 minutes later; mind you, it was not busy at all. It was also clear to us that we were also being rushed out to accommodate a larger party.

I’ve admittedly only been here twice… Both times during lunch, but both times were fantastic. On my first visit in, I tried the pasta & meatballs which were tasty. The sauce was a bit watery, but the meatballs were were tender and flavorful, and it was a generous lunch portion. My second visit I tried the steak tips. Again, fantastic. The shoestring fries were piping hot and the seasoning on the steak was great. Both times I was in and out within 30 mins, I sat at the bar and service was friendly. It was lunch during work, so I went with water(though now they have Yuengling on tap, so my mid-day work lunch may include a beer from time to time). They give you fresh from the oven bread when you walk in(which I paired with a side of their pizza sauce for dipping) and it makes me curious to try their pizza. Maybe service is different at night? Maybe the food lacks at night? But for a fast, filling lunch for under $ 10(I spend more than that at Five Guys and it’s not half as satisfying) especially in an area surrounded only by fast food joints, this place is my new go-to when I’m in the area.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place… First off their food is really good. Especially their steak tips which are the best I’ve ever had. I like their sweet chili bird sandwich too. The drinks are lacking. I ordered a margarita which was listed on their little drink menu. It tasted like sour water. Very watered down and close to no flavor. Not good for the price. The manager came over, which was a joke. He didn’t really do much other than say«I’m sorry» and walked away. Another thing, is their bartender is an effing B****!!! She has no personality, acts like she doesn’t ever want to be there and treats you like gum on the bottom of her shoe. Unfortunately, she’s there most of the time and is usually the one to take my order. Seriously I don’t care if she’s family… she’s a buzz kill to the atmosphere. Lastly they need to seriously update their answering machine and website to list closings. They were closed both New Year’s Eve and day. I called and the line said they were taking another person’s order. So I drove 30 mins to order and found out they were closed! I wish they would let their customers know what’s goin on. Anyways if you want good food with crap service this is the place for you.

I was really torn between 2 and 3 stars. On one hand, there’s the incredible menu with all of it’s delicious choices!(Steak tips– try them!). On the other, there’s the mediocre at best service. Plus side: Menu Huge menu, so many choices!!! The variety of pizzas, sandwiches, and other entrees was overwhelming. Nice kids menu, too. Minus: Service We were seated quickly(it was a pretty quiet night), and attended to quickly. But after that, it was like pulling teeth to get our server over to us. When we asked a couple of questions about items on the menu, the server acted as though we were really putting him out, and then didn’t know the answers. When we wanted to get going, I finally flagged down a different server to get our check, as the kiddos were getting antsy, and 15+ minutes was FAR too long to have to wait for a check. Total: 2.5, but I’ll round up, for the food. I’d like to go back here again, hopefully with a better server experience.

Recently visited Pepperoncini’s with my work companions. We’re a multi-nation team and this was our first group gathering in a year working together. It was a chilled venue which made hanging out, eating and chatting easy to do. The parking lot was a bit challenging for this California girl. I rented a SUV to caravan several of us to various meetings/events and I found the parking lot pretty tight especially for a larger car. It’s not fancy, but the food was tasty, the service was friendly and accommodating. One of the servers(not our own) was even kind and patient enough to take several group photos for us at the end of our evening. The salads were good and the pizza was tasty. I’ve never seen a buffalo chicken pizza on the menu and my taste buds won’t soon forget it, but hey — adventure! :)
