This is great coffee and a great location for people watching!!! I usually order drip coffee when I go to new establishments and if they do that well I will be back. My son ordered hot chocolate and he was pleased with his drink. Unfortunately we got there while they were closing up so we couldn’t experience everything.

Loved it here. I got a great pecan bar and I loved the view outside from the windows. Great people watching and good espresso.

Wow — were we even at the same place as the other reviewers? The coffee was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It was so bitter that it was undrinkable. When we spoke with the ladies behind the counter about it, they basically told us we were crazy and that it was just fresh coffee! I’ve had amazing artisanal coffee from around the world, Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and everything in between. They begrudgingly gave us a latte instead and it was much better. The baked goods were dry and way over-sugared. Worse than the coffee was their attitude and snobbish response to our request. Very strange that it’s so well reviewed!

I am in love with their Organic Coffee… buy a pound and take it home to brew it in your own device. Every time I come here I get the latte, and it never disappoints. I usually go to their Mill Valley location, which is always busy(not a fan of waiting in a long line, but it’s worth it). Great place!

The specials board encouraged me to try an affogato, which was gelato drowned in espresso. LaCoppa, you had me at gelato. I selected La Donna gelato, which is their speciality coffee flavored gelato. Then the cashier charged me nearly $ 5 for this very small drink. Oof. Two scoops of gelato and a river of espresso were handed to me. I asked if it was traditional to eat the gelato then drink the espresso or to mix both together and then drink it. I was answered with a very blank look. I was starting to get the feeling that affogatos aren’t very popular. I mixed the gelato into my expresso and drank it like a shake of sorts. It was delicious, but not worth as much as it was sold to me for. The baked goods looked delicious, but there were about six flies casually lying some of the sweets, so I’ll pass.

Nice locale. Paper cups only?! No plates for desserts, everything on paper bags. Average quality of desserts and coffee.

I go here almost everyday. I love La Coppa because it truly is not a chain and is run by locals. Great coffee selection.

I went here and had a delicious coffee with a shot of espresso in it. I like the place too, plenty of snack options. Cool little place, coffee is way above average and I am a big coffee drinker, staff was nice, so 5 stars. =)

It’s sad to say, but I think LaCoppa’s quality has slipped noticeably. Since my last review in August, my last three or four visits resulted in espressos of wildly varying quality. It seems as though they have either changed their source for beans or perhaps their roaster. The overriding flavors were burnt and bitter. In addition to the quality of espresso slipping, the old baker no longer bakes for them. Their baked goods are now average, like most other coffee houses. They no longer excite my taste buds. This is why I’ve so drastically lowered my rating for them. The next time we are in the area I’ll swing by to give them another try. But I’ll no longer go out of my way to grab a cup.

4:20 pm and not a busy time at all. I knew what I wanted, a simple 16 oz. iced coffee. The«Me Valley» clerk acknowledged my raising my hand to order how. .. by taking two others’ orders standing behind me. Really? I never even got to say what I wanted ‘cuz the«Me» clerk never gave the opportunity even tho’ I was RIGHTINFRONT of his cash register. When a second totally selfish person cut in front of me I didn’t even receive a «sorry». I stated loud enough for others to hear«Thanks for nothing — I’m taking my business elsewhere». Mr. Spinelli’s(owner’s) service is NOT a good business practice and I’m spreading the word to go elsewhere where there’s some common and human respect. I’ll never ever go back to «La Coppa Coffee. May the business rot. How clued in is the owner here — Arnold Spinelli??? Do you care in the least bit? Signed, an out of town visitor with family living in «Me Valley».

Need more seating area. Ordered the small white mocha for $ 3.45. It was pretty good and not overly sweet.

I like the coffee here and frittatas. My only gripe is the kid who spends the extra time making designs in the cup — I’m over coffee art like I am over«Sh*t __people say» on youtube. Sorry, maybe I’ve spent too much time in Portland, OR. The kid was cute and nice though, so I didn’t snap at him… even with my caffeine headache =).

LaCoppa would be a four-star coffee shop: indy, excellent coffee, super friendly staff, good pastry, and friendly, talkative patrons. Here’s what gives the much sought after, but seldom awarded fifth star: LaCoppa was open on Christmas morning. At 7:00 am!!! By 7:30 the place was jammed. To quote Tiny Tim, God bless you, everyone.

Hubby and I came to the area too early for our 6 pm reservations at El Paseo so we decided to kill time with coffee. We came in and ordered 2 small coffee. Coffee itself was very good. The service? good. I would have given 4 – 5 starts if the place was very clean. We sat in one of the seats inside and I can smell something funky. The tables were a bit sticky it made me a bit uncomfortable. I heard this place is local so I like it anyway.

Eh, asked for non-fat. Didn’t get non-fat. However, the customer service was great, interesting drink selections… didn’t see much seating. Most of it was outside, which is actually quite nice. I would go back for sure, and up my rating.

Selfish Valley(aka Mill Valley) is a potential move in spot for Kris, myself and the future Alex generation. The only problem is the housing is un-affordable for us right now. We are currently testing out all the café’s and restaurants as well as the movie theaters, laundromats, mail boxes, etc. The coffee here is exceptional. It’s incredibly fresh because they roast their own beans. Being that me and Kris are huge(well just myself actually. she just likes the milk foam) are huge coffee and fasting aficionados we’ll be coming here every opportunity we get. The north bay will always have a place in my heart. including this cute little shop with friendly staff.

$ 8.50 treats for 3 espresso drinks may not have been super $$, but for that price, the coffee was so-so. It’s more like hit/miss with La Coppa, as Mill Valley is one of my very favorite places to come and de-stress and unwind, take in nature with a Muir-like eye, and imbibe in the gorgeous natural settings so nearby… I almost guffawed when 2 customers ahead, a lady astutely pointed out that one of that coconut macaroons displayed in their case had mold on it. To that, the cashier answered indignantly, «We would never serve our customers that». The lady then retorted, «The get it out of your case to ensure that you don’t.» I can’t make up my mind about this cute little set-up, with the coffee bar area, the quaint bench for people-watching, and the patio-ette to the side for some more communal conversation and fellowship.

Not happy with them at all… I actually BIKED1.5 hours to get coffee here. I show up with my road bike and wait in line. Then I get KICKEDOUT because they don’t allow bikes in the store. I have a road bike. It’s SUPER clean. It’s cleaner than I was… it’s cleaner than most of the patrons in the store at the time. Yet they kicked me out. The Pete’s Coffee across the street let me in… ordered a latte. Starbucks also allows bikes inside. If you have an expensive bike… and you leave it alone — it WILL get stolen. If it were a dirty/muddy mountain bike that was dirty I would understand. Either way — I won’t be going here again!
