We had the Campus Club cater our wedding and the guests are still talking about how great the food was. For many of our guests it was their first experience with Polenta — they are total converts now! Each dish was packed with flavor — best catering food I’ve had and at a reasonable price compared to others we looked at. I feel like we definitely made the best possible choice!

University of Minnesota’s Campus Club is really the place to go in town. Not only because of the carefully crafted haute-cuisine dishes, not only because of the amazing location and views, not only because of the serious and refined bar selection. Not just for that. The ambiance, the décor and architecture, the people that you meet here carry just as much weight in one’s decision to dine, and the affable personnel and knowledgeable staff is included. I ate here the best pork schnitzel I ever had, and I am European and am highly educated on this specific matter. :D Chef’s creativity and repertoire are almost endless, and I don’t think I have seen the same dish twice. New American at its best.

The food and drink [and their prices] are medium. Location is great, atmosphere(when hanging out with my faculty husband) is good, fun. I like being able to hang out here until he and his colleagues meander in as they do most Fridays — fun waiting there, and eavesdropping on other U professors et al. I like it here. Service can vary, food quality, to me, is medium. But atmosphere seems to be fun and funny, here. I like it.

Campus Club is a real treat for me because I don’t have a membership, but many people in my department do and so I sometimes get to eat here for lunch meetings. If membership prices weren’t so high, I’d totally get one for myself because the food is always phenomenal. Last time I was there I had a chicken & black bean tostada. It was amazing! They smothered it in a pico de gallo and tons of cilantro. It has spice and real zest. I’ll definitely be trying to finagle that lunch again. Prices are also a little higher than the Coffman basement eateries, but bonus is that you won’t get sick off of this wonderful food. Much of their produce is grown by the Agriculture School. Fresh food, wahoo! Their menu changes daily, but you can always count on great sandwiches and a colorful salad bar. Check out their specials on the website, but on occasion they won’t be updated.

The Campus Club is a delicious location for lunch food«on campus.» When there’s a conference or convention, this is where a visiting person should ask to eat. The food is always quite tasty, the line is always short and the menu options change daily. It’s a short-order buffet, of sorts. It’s slightly expensive for being on campus, but if you compare to downtown, the prices are actually slightly lower for the quality. I like going here for the view downtown and see the fundraising and medical professionals eat lunch. You feel like you’re in the upper echelon of UMN staffers when you eat here. It does take a membership to use, yes, but if you know someone, you’re granted access. I like the bar there too. It’s very quiet and high class for that small alumni or fundraising gathering. Parking is easy-right behind Coffman.
