We were SO happy to learn that the only Nespresso boutique in the state happened to be blocks from our home. I had been to Kitchen Window before, but not since I owned my Nespresso Lattissima Plus machine. The Nespresso boutique is located in the back of the store and aesthetically, it’s a dream. The sharp looking sleeves of pods line the wall in a beautiful caffeinated rainbow. My boyfriend and I were in espresso heaven. They had machines on to try out different drinks/pods. So glad I tried a pod I was thinking about buying — I hated it! I went with another flavor. We went on a Saturday two weeks before Christmas. Needless to say, it was very crowded. The boutique has a separate counter that is separate from the rest of the store. There were two Nespresso reps behind the counter answering people’s questions and checking them out. The only negative aspect of our visit was while in line: We were waiting in line as both Nespresso reps were busy picking out pods and checking out other customers. I walked away for a moment to look at a travel mug, my boyfriend stayed in line. Since I walked away, my boyfriend let the girl behind us in line go ahead as the woman behind the counter became available. I met my boyfriend back in line. The male associate then became available a couple minutes later. We walked up, excited to get some questions answered and to pick out our pods! However, when we walked up to the counter, the associate told us to slide over while he helps this other gentleman behind us that just joined the line behind us, after we had already waited 5 – 7 minutes. The employees reasoning? «He was in line first». When I immediately corrected him and told him that we were actually in line first, even before the girl we let go ahead of us, he responded, «Well he was in the store first». I’m sorry, what? I thought he was joking. Apparently these employees watch the front door and help people in order of who walks in the store first. Ridiculous. When he became available again at the counter, I told him I would wait for the female associate to become available to help us. So glad we did, she was awesome! Very kind, patient and answered all of our questions. She took us over to a machine to make us a sample of a limited time flavor and I ended up buying these pods. Apart from the rude nonsense from the employee, we loved out first experience at the Nespresso Boutique inside Kitchen Window! We will be back to recycle our pods as well as buy new coffee and accessories!
