I stopped in here on a Saturday evening to check out their cocktail lounge. Right away we noticed the space was very big but still cozy. There are plenty of tables and couches to sit at as well as high top tables near the bar so it is very spacious and not crowded. If you sit at a table, a server gives you a menu and takes your order, which was convenient since we didn’t have to deal with the hassle of waiting at the bar. They have an excellent cocktail menu that offers a good variety of options. I ordered a negoni, which had gin, fortified wine, and Campari in it and it was delicious. My table enjoyed that one the best! We also tried the Old Fashioned and the Fitsgerald, which had gin and citrus in it. The prices for the drinks were pretty reasonable being between $ 8-$ 10. Overall, the atmosphere is very composed, the drinks are amazing and well-mixed, and our server did an excellent job of taking care of us.

Lots of fun. The owners are very friendly and gave us a great tour and LOTS of samples! Would definitely recommend, especially once they get their cocktail bar open!

It’s a bummer their cocktail bar isn’t open and won’t be open for a few months. You are only able to do tour and tastings at this point. Tastings consist of small sips of their spirits, which you aren’t offered to have anything to mix, chase, cleanse pallet with. I suggest bringing your own water bottle. Other than that Mark the owner was great and you could tell he has a passion for what he does and he is behind his products 100%!!! I would recommend this local craft distillery to anyone.

Traditions can be fun. One of ours is summer road trips; as part of that tradition, we drink and eat our way through the town we’re exploring. Norseman was right up our alley. Norseman is a newer operation, but rapidly growing. Having been to a few more established craft distillers, it’s nice to see one on the younger end of the spectrum. Scott gave our small tour of five people. The size and laid back nature made it conducive to questions. Norsemen is currently making vodka, gin, rum and venturing into whiskey. They’re hoping to open a tap room in their space soon too. After our tour, we got to sample to product. Vodka is my spirit of choice, but I don’t usually care for the stuff straight or for super boozy drinks like martini. I was pleasantly caught off guard by how smooth their vodka is, it could persuade me to change my tune on the stronger drinks. Unfortunately, local liquor laws don’t allow us to buy bottles straight from Norseman. However, it sounds like they’re carried at quite a few local liquor stores. If you haven’t heard of Norseman yet, look them up. They’re up to great things.

My sister and I were lucky enough to be given a grand tour of the Norseman Distillery by Mark. He is not joking when it comes to quality of their product. They run 4 small stills including 2 reflux and 2 pot stills depending on if they are making vodka, gin, rum or whiskey. Let me tell you, when you run stills as small as these, making the hearts cut is crucial. The heads of the run can not be diluted into the hearts when making such small runs. There in itself lies their secret. They HAVE to be there attending the stills, and making the perfect cuts. This hands on approach results in some of the best gin I have ever tasted. Smooth and fresh. This last Saturday I visited 3 local distilleries, and Norseman had by far the cleanest and best tasting gin. Their competitors may have more expensive and elaborate equipment, but that does not matter when so much heart is put into the hearts cut! Also, if you are a whiskey enthusiast, you might want to try Norseman’s rum. Their current rum is not heavily spiced resulting in a greater influence from barrels. Shot out to Scott as well for starting out with a small Boka and working your way up! Slainte!
