Perkins Family Restaurants & Bakeries

I generally eat at local places and seek out places with far fresher ingredients. However, sometimes, you’re not able to do this and go with the flow of where others force you to go. That is what leads me to Perkins… where they don’t even try to tell you things are «fresh» just plentiful and cooked fast.
This location, 24/​7, which doesn’t matter to me but to some it might. I go here at least a couple times a month with coworkers — normally to get the inside scoop on other department’s dealings.
Often enough, I’ll roll with a salad which is never fresh. Or I’ll go with some chicken and rice thing or like this past time, a stack of multigrain blue berry pancakes, something that they tried to pass off as scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. The pancakes are at least half way decent. The sausage is… food? Maybe? I’m hard pressed to call it that, but, for the sake of keeping my psyche intact we’ll call it that. The eggs. I love that they’re apart of the «fit fresh» or whatever the hell they call it for trying to be the «healthier» option, yet they’re served swimming in a pool of butter. Bravo on the effort though.
Service though is always spot on. Even with the application of a coupon to the bill, then having it broken up 4 or 5 ways by seat — no complaints with us doing that. And for that point, it keeps it from being a 1 star.
If you need a place to sit around, catch up with great service, has minimal interruptions by the staff, and stuff they’ll pass off as food — then this Perkins is right for you!

Consistently good service and food. I generally get a Belgian waffle, but their tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich is good, too. Fruit side dish is always fresh.

The restaurant is open 24 hours and serves delicious food.
The servers are friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.
You have special requests or changes in the standard menu, go ahead and tell the server. They will accomodate your request.

Perkins offers comfort food a fair price with average wait staff.
One major plus of this is location is it is open 24 hours.
Love their blue berry muffins.
