So, I’ve been to this particular Brow Bar twice in the last two months after the Macy’s that I used to go to regularly got shut down. I don’t have a problem going to different Brow Bars though as I have gotten my brows done in 5 different locations including this one by many different people without incident. This is by far the worst Brow Bar with the worst service to date. Although this location has always been lackluster and understaffed(especially compared to South Coast Plaza’s Macy’s Brow Bar), the people who work at this location currently are HORRIBLE! Back in high school, I used to go to this location to get my brows done without incident. Now, the people working here have no clue what they are doing. It is obvious that the girls that work at this Macy’s are cavalier and inexperienced. The customer service is awful and everyone acts like they’re new. The worst part though is how stingy they are with their time slots. They don’t make any effort whatsoever to fit people in when they definitely could. Instead, they’re too busy goofing off talking to one another and dancing and singing to the music playing on their radio. And if you’re a teeny tiny bit late, forget about it. That’s just how they are, it’s like they’re actively avoiding work. The last time I went is the last time I’m going. I got there 45 minutes early and tried to get an earlier time slot(which, of course, didn’t happen) because someone was waiting for me. So I wandered around the mall for a bit and came back 10 minutes early. By the time my waxer was done setting up, it was 5 minutes before my appointment. As soon as I sit down in the chair, a lady comes up to my waxer even though she is obviously in the middle of something and asks for help to find some Bare Minerals foundation or something. At first, my waxer says she’s busy but then she obliges and takes about 10 minutes helping this lady even though she could’ve just sent her to the register where another girl working could’ve helped her shortly. I was angry beyond belief and after a while I said«Um, excuse me are you almost finished, I have to go soon.» She then gets sassy with me and says«Oh, do you need to leave now? Because you booked this appointment for 6» basically implying that I in fact did not have to leave. I responded, «It’s just someone’s waiting for me. And she should’ve asked someone else» which she doesn’t even acknowledge. After she was done helping the lady find whatever for A COMPANYTHATSHEDIDN’T EVENWORKFORWITHPLENTYOFFREEMACYSTAFFAROUND, she was sassy with me again saying that she only helped the woman because my appointment was at 6 and it was now 6(which I doubt but can’t deny because neither of us was looking at a clock but I was in the chair 5 minutes early). After that, it was the most awkward, hasted brow appointment I’ve ever had in complete silence and she was rougher than usual with the waxing. I didn’t care and was glad it was over quickly. I paid my bill, tipped her, and left vowing never to return. My eyebrows just look meh and I now have red sores on my lip from her botched wax job. Just make the trip to South Coast, it’s worth it.

Seriously in a mall they cancel you if you’re 4 minutes late? I ran through the mall after being stuck at a checkout and they cancelled. First and last experience at this location.

Allie is our girl at the Shops at Mission Viejo Benefit Brow Bar at Macy’s. She made our visit so pleasurable. She obviously loves what she does and spent some real quality time with us at our appointments. Not many places even bother with the brow mapping, Allie does and it makes such a difference. The cherry on the top is the make-up touch up at the end which covers the redness. She’s great; we’ll be seeing her again in a few weeks.

The Benefit Brow Bar at Macys Mission Viejo is the best! Marnie is the my favorite aesthetician. My brows were not at their best before but Marnie has helped me grow them out the right way. She brow maps me every time and shows me the areas she will wax before she does it to make sure I get the results i want. She also has a great sense of humor! She has me talking and laughing the entire time so I take my mind of the waxing. Lol After she is done waxing she touches up my makeup too! If your brows are in need of some help I highly recommend Marnie and the Benefit Brow Bar in Mission Viejo!

I absolutely love this place. Most importantly I would like to thank Elisa for fixing my eyebrows. Not only did she fix my eyebrows but also gave me useful tips as well. I almost went crying to Elisa because before that I went to the threading/salon in front of Rubys and the nice lady that attended me did not thread them right. Elisa and the rest of the ladies are beyond friendly and give great customer service. I recommended making an appointment though it will save you time

Love how people leave negative reviews, and expect it to be believed, when we all read the profile and A. They do not Unilocal.ever. And B. The only reviews they have are negative. Spoiled children, throwing tantrums. On to a review… Benefit has opened their Mission Viejo Macy’s location a little over a year ago. I have been a customer since the brow lady stopped me walking through the store and offered to show me a trick with my brows. In the year I have been seeing her, I have gained ridiculously perfectly arched eyebrows, that have filled in considerably since my Chola — esque eyebrows that I was rocking when I first showed up. LINDA is my go to! She is literally hilarious. In under a half hour she makes me laugh, waxes me to perfection, touches all my makeup up, and sends me on my way. She is VERY popular, and is usually booked all day, but if you call, and get a drop in slot, she can fit you in between appointments. Then just be sure to make your next appointment with her before you leave. I have noticed she remembers all of her customers. Names, everything. That’s hard to find these days, the personal touch of excellent customer service. I have been to a few other Brow Bars. Always good, but nothing like Linda. They have moved in the store, to a larger, nicer location. Last time I noticed there was a new brow girl there also, as they are getting busier and busier.

I came in during my lunch break and asked if there was any availability for eyebrows the sales rep told me, right after her current appointment she can take me in, she asked for my phone number so she can give me a call as soon as she was done I waited around for a full hour my entire lunch break, no call. I am sure this is a great place but in regards to there customer service I was very disappointed I understand that I was a walk in but I would have been entirely open to scheduling an apt for a day that would have worked better… also I did call again to see if there was any availability when I was off work at seven she said no that seven is there last apt which was surprising because I’ve had an apt after seven at a different location before… disappointed they don’t want me as customer

After having my eyebrows butchered at a nail salon, I was horrified. After allowing my hair to grow back, I went to the Benefit Brow Bar to have my lifeless eyebrows brought back to life. My fears are gone and I have beautiful brows that are no longer an embarrassment. I will be going back for touch ups.
