Best corn beef hash I’ve ever had! Great flavor and a nice crunchy top. The food was actually better than the donuts! We got the Cronut and it was just ok.

We love eating breakfast at Surfin’ Donuts — they make terrific food, and the owner — Kevin– is a friendly and great guy! The only downside regarding their food is that they press the hash browns to hard; therefore, it’s a little dark and hard. Other than that, Sufin’ Donuts is a great place to enjoy a meal! Kevin and staff: keep up the great work!

Not bad. I had a veggie omelette. Rye toast was good. Omelette was good, hash browns were soggy underneath. My daughters bagel was supplied with a plastic for making the application of her mandatory cream cheese almost impossible until actual silverware showed up later. The breakfast burrito was spot on although I discovered not too kid friendly. This was my oversight. Donut prices seemed pretty high compared to other places, but haven’t purchased any in a while. Nothing blew me away here but it was decent. Lots of the folks there seemed happy with their set up. Lots of people also taking take out. We may be back one day.

Don’t quite get the hype here. Location was pretty busy, but not a huge fan of the service of their donuts. I went with a cronut and it was ok, but certainly not even close to best I’ve ever had and a bit pricey. No frills mom and pop donut shop set up, a few tables to dine in at and heartier food options at well. Ok, but not worth rushing back for.

This is a good basic place for donuts, coffee or a quick casual breakfast. Updating the décor, tables, chairs would give it so much more of an inviting place to eat. As it is, you don’t really want to hang out and relax. Even the plates need an update. Great selection of coffee– just take it to go.

Had a couple cronuts here. Just okay. Wouldn’t drive out of my way for them. Also had the avocado bacon and cheese omelette with wheat toast. It was nice for them to split it for us because I shared.

Stopped in here for a quick bite. Had a sausage and egg Apple fritter sandwich… delicious! Customer service was great, only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the floor had some spilled food and I had to wipe off my table. If you want something different… I recommend stopping by.

This is solely based on one experience and only on service. At 2:45 pm on 3÷31÷16 I took my husband there to get him a smoothie. The door was open and there were no visible CLOSED signs. I walked in the door and a male employee shouted, «We’re closed!» It startled me and took a second to process, so I asked, «You’re closed?» and the man again shouted, «We’re closed.» A little back story as to why I’m so angry. My 46-year old husband is currently going through radiation and chemotherapy. The tumor in his spine has left him unable to walk and he is in a wheelchair. He had not wanted to eat or drink anything but sips of water for two days and suddenly wanted a smoothie. I will try again.

I saw the sign in the window last week when grocery shopping advertising the variety of dining options from sandwiches to donuts to burgers and fries. Today we were leaving church and planning to go to get a burger when I remembered the sign and suggested we give it a try. After all, Sundays are brunchy sort of days. Between my crew, we had a variety of food from including a few donuts, a donut based breakfast sandwich, a veggie breakfast burrito, a patty melt on sourdough, chicken nuggets and fries and a carnitas burrito. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we were all looking at the menu figuring out what we’d eat the next time around. I love finding places that aren’t parts of large corporate chains and in south Orange County that is hard to do. We’ll definitely be back.

We came in to Surfin’ Donuts based on the recommendation of MANY other moms. We walked in and the place was packed, there was only one open table. We began looking at their menu which they had printed and laminated for easy readying. We immediately picked out a blueberry fritter, 1 pink sprinkle donut, a breakfast burrito and a blended caramel latte. We paid(they offer Apple Pay) they gave us our donuts and we sat down. The blueberry fritter was unreal, the most delicious donut ever. My daughter demolished her donut as they called out the latte. The latte didn’t taste like caramel, more like vanilla and coconut and had what seemed like NO coffee in it. For $ 4 for 16oz I was underwhelmed. Then they called out our name for our breakfast burrito that came with eggs, cheese, sausage and potatoes with 2 sides of salsa(1 green, 1 red). The burrito was perfectly portioned and had an even amount of ingredients throughout. The red salsa was a bit bland but the green one had a nice kick. We will definitely be back because our food was excellent but will pick up specialty coffee elsewhere.

I was out on my quest to find a good burger place near my new house so I checked Unilocal and noticed this spot had a good rating and lots of great comments and reviews. It was strange because it was a donut place, but the reviews said they had good burgers. At first entrance it appears to just be a donut shop, but then I saw a sign listing lunch items. They only list one burger on the menu so I ordered it with cheese. I honestly didn’t expect much, but was already there so I decided to give them a try. I’ll have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The bun was soft and fresh baked and the burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. Since it was a straightforward burger with no fancy sauces or extras it was easy to taste the burger. I got it with a side of onion rings and those too were a surprise. They were crunchy and light, not like some of those heavy fried rings. Overall I was more than satisfied by my choice for the day, but I’ll need to continue my quest to find a 5 star burger in my new neighborhood.

Heard about this place from the BF which he found on Unilocal!Ever since then, this has been our to go Sunday breakfast/brunch place. BF really loves their breakfast burrito — the size is pretty decent. So far I’ve had their corn beef hash which was good but not amazing! I’ve had their chicken fried steak twice — my favorite so far. BF and I are a fan of their blueberry donut. A bit too sweet for me, but BF loves it! They always run out of cronuts but my BF was able to stop by really early Saturday morning Nd was able to get 3. I tried the glaze — haven’t tried too many cronuts and by taking the first bite, I thought it was just okay. They have quite a selection of coffee as well. Service is good. Small restaurant — probably seats about 32

It took me a while, but another place checked off of my list. Surfin’ Donuts was really quite a surprise. The donut designation detracts from how special this restaurant is. Yes, they have donuts, and they are good. I didn’t get any of the cronuts, as they were out, but did get a dozen or so of the others. My kids were very happy with them, and I took a few bites out of a chocolate on chocolate, and declared it yummy. My wife and I got there at around 9:30 am, and there were still several tables open, but it was clearly bustling already, on a Sunday. By 10 there was a line out of the door, and all tables were full. Movement is fast though, so waits aren’t long. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs over easy, with the hash browns and rye toast. The first few bites of the steak and I was pretty happy. The sausage gravy was really good, and the fried patty was thin and very crispy. About half way through, and I wished it was thicker, with a greater meat to batter ratio. Still good, but perhaps a tad overfried. The eggs were your basic eggs, and maybe a little undercooked, but they were fine for my tastes. The hash browns were crispy on the outside, and soft inside. Basic, but good. The rye toast was thick, and nice and crusty on one side. Good toast. My wife had the corned beef hash. This is your basic commercial canned hash, what you would expect in most places. What was different is how they perfectly crisped it up. No dog food here, which is what undercooked hash is like, but rather a salty, crispy, tasty hash. She had the sourdough, nice a light, and also crispy. Perfect over easy eggs. Of note is the fact that I couldn’t finish my meal. I gave it my best shot, but was way too full. My wife, who is half my size, couldn’t stop eating hers even when overfull. She managed to finish. I was impressed. Also notable is their coffee selection. I believe there were nine self-serve carafes of Diedrich coffee. I tried a chocolaty one, then an espresso with extra caffeine. Both were hot and delicious. Surfin donuts has a little something for everyone, and the prices are more than reasonable. Order at the counter, find a seat, wait five minutes, and chow down. It’s nice to finally have a basic breakfast option with both american and mexican options, along with good coffee.

Loved this place!!! Everything about it, just everything! They have a great selection of coffee, creamers, sugar, etc. We ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich with the maple French cruller and it was AMAZING!!! If I had it my way, I’d probably order it on a maple bar(oink!). My boyfriend had the bacon breakfast burrito with potatoes and it was soooo good. Not only is this place amazingly delicious, it’s very inexpensive. I will always make it a point to stop in whenever I’m in the area!

This is my morning b-fast spot when I out this way getting my back snap, crackled and popped! I usually stop by on my way home or to wherever I happen to be going. I found this place after I typed in pancakes on my Trusty Unilocal app. The name sort of through me off but when I saw they had more than donuts I was sold and I was LOOKING for something a lil different. The menus are all written in surf boards which si cool and a NICE touch to ode to the name of the place! This place is located in a medium sized strip mall so parking is NOT a problem. BUT when I tell you it gets packed in herrr. I Bull S*it you NOT! I walk up and BAM… A LINE out the door! But on a GOODNOTE it moves REALLYQUICKLY so that was a plus. It almost moved to quickly for me to check out the menu to see what I wanted. They have a PRETTYNICE menu and it includes a lil bit of everything aside from the donuts and muffins you see in the display case. With side kick in tow we ordered some scrambled eggs and a donut and some coffee and I got a b-fast rito with bacon egg and cheese and a latte and an apple juice. I paid and we were fortunate to find a table for 2. There are a few seats outside but basically if you come in the morning don’t be disappointed if you can’t find a seat because again it’s PACKED! Our food came out in no time and my b-fast rito was SLAMMIN and HUGE! I could only eat half and I saved the rest for lunch later to b-fast the next day. My coffee was REALLY good but had I known I could help myself to FREE re-fills I would have forgone the latte and just had a regular coffee. They have SEVERAL different flavors of coffee but my taste buds aren’t that discerning. They just know they like and WANTHOTCOFFEE! Once we were finished we cleaned up our little table and we were out the door. Someone quickly came over to wipe down the table and get any remainder trash and before we could get out the door someone had filled out seats. You have to be quick around here if you want a seat. I have come back a few times since that and had the donuts and I WASNOTIMPRESSED. The donuts seemed dry and NOTFRESH and although the size is GREAT it’s NOT so WONDERFUL when it’s not SOGOOD! I’ll stick with the b-fast ritos since they got that right! They also make sands for lunch and have other bottled drinks to tickle your fancy so you’re NOT limited to coffee and apple juice. They even make their own homemade FRESHSQUEEZEDOJ or you can get the bottled kind if you like. Overall ok. I think if they could get the donut situation under control I’d be in kove!
