I have been staying at the Moberly Inn on a business trip and have had a chance to eat here a few time and at different time. The staff seems to have taken some of the reviews seriously. They seem to have picked up the customer service aspect. They are friendly and checked on on many time. The chips were cold every time we ate there. I had the chimichunga with chicken the first night. Chicken is seems to be stewed with tomatoes and onions. I don’t mind the cheese sauce and the side of sour cream, guac, and pico seemed about right. The next night I got the carnitas and they were over fried and unedable. I then tired the fajitas, which like another reviewer said, didn’t come out sizzling. But decent flavor and again fair amount for toppings. Overall; Good: Portions Cost(about average for today’s sit down restaurants) Awesomely large cups for soda/drink Friendliness of staff Bad: Chips are cold Food isn’t always on par

Came in a bit late, but the host was very welcoming and seated us anyway. Despite being late, the food was not rushed or old tasting. The food was great and the service was great. 20% tip, all the way!

I wish I could give zero stars. Pros — Only Mexican restaurant in town Right off the highway Cons– Only Mexican restaurant in town Cold queso dip Gross chips cold also Margaritas are like sweet and sour syrup with a salted rim Items tossed on the table without stopping or asking if it is correct. Attached to Moberly Inn motel… yeah. So room service customer be warned. I have lived in California for 10 years, so I know I’m spoiled on real Mexican food. However, my review is not based on the food itself because honestly we were too afraid to order anything more than queso(cold) and French fries(bland). But what we did order was terrible!!! The other tables fajitas did not sizzle, my children(who eat everything) wouldn’t touch anything! They asked for ranch for the fries and it not only was chunky(not a joke) but it came in a packet tossed onto the table with no expiration date or bowl to empty it’s contents into. So unless you would like to play food poisoning roulette, I’d pass on this place!

Best Mexican food place around. There are at least three to pick from and this is the best.

Let’s be honest… it’s Moberly MO, and I think this is the only Mexican Restaurant, unless you count Taco Bell as Mexican. For not having anything in the area I’m going to say it’s pretty darn good! For land locked middle America you can’t really ask for an «Authentic Mexican Restaurant». Overall: good food, good people, good margarita!
