Still the best food in town. Everything is made to order and is absolutely delicious every time. And, oh, the hot bread is to die for. Either restaurant is excellent. And, I love the family that has worked so hard to make these places so great.

Awesome food. Comforting. Delicious. Fresh. Creamy. Just how I like my pasta. Portion size was just right I ate my whole plate but I did kinda stuff myself because it was so good. The service was also good. They came right away with water and bread without having to ask for it. Food came pretty fast too. The waiter kept up with us and even plated our to go box. The price is very affordable and in my opinion worth paying for good quality.

Underwhelming– over priced– unimpressed. The food does not look like the photos at all. Did not taste homemade or special. We had lasagne, chicken Alfredo, chicken pesto and calzone. It was $ 86! There were maybe 6 tiny pieces of chicken. Will not go back. Bella Italia to-​go is WAY better. Big mistake. The bread was the only winner in this meal

I ordered the chicken pesto pasta to go (normally I order the chicken parmigiana). I have to say, I didn’t feel like it was as good of a value as the chicken parmigiana; it was a little light on the chicken. Also, the sauce was a touch heavy for my taste. I’m keep the four star rating the same, because they were prompt and friendly, and their bread is still awesome.
***Note-​as I was leaving I overheard the waitress telling customers about their new policy: $ 5 corkage fee. Just a heads up for those who bring their own wine

Excellent service, quaint yet elegant establishment with live roses on the tables. Iced tea had a peach/​mango flavor to it that was a refreshing surprise. Food was priced right for the quality and portion size. Sauce was hot a tasted authentically homemade and sausage had just the right amount of spice to it. I’ll be back

This is the best Italian food I have had in Modesto. The bread is on point! Lasagna tastes homemade and always comes out hot. Delicious!

Had their pollo Alfredo and my husband their combination calzone. My husband always enjoys the calzone and I their Alfredo because of its rich, creamy sauce. Gave 4 stars because we tried their new mozzarella cheese sticks for appetizer and although the cheese sticks were decent, the ranch to dip them in was too tangy and clearly out of a Hidden Valley ranch bottle. The service is always great.

loved this place! was looking forward to a night out with my boyfriend and thought this is the perfect place! unfortunately this visit I found my chicken to be hard and chewy and our waitress never came to check on us! so disappointing. I was not compensated at all and I over heard the kitchen staff talking about me :(too bad, they normally have really delicious food

But that is not the whole story, No split charge, bring your one wine wit no cookage fee.

I had Pesto Chicken Pasta — 4 stars. I liked the fresh baked bread & Parm flakes they sprinkle on top of your pasta. My wife had the Seafood Pasta dish, we didn’t really like that dish. It had extremely salty olives that were inedible and capers that really overpowered the delicate seafood — 3 stars. Overall, some good, some bad but we will be back to try other menu items.

If it was possible to leave no stars I would.
It may have been a fluke as this is the first time we have eaten here but it will also be our last. Out of three entrées, one had a hair in the sauce and the other had a chicken bone still in it, that if my two year old had been eating it would have easily choked him. On top of this, the food was over priced, portions sizes small, service was lacking as our waitress only came to our table once in a 45 minute period which was immediately after receiving our food. Unfortunately our first and last experience at this restaurant was less than enjoyable, and despite the discoveries we found in our dishes I didn’t feel the compensation made was appropriate. I hope for our sake and that of others that this was a fluke experience, however me and my family will not be eating here again.

Ive been to this location once. The other location once. We’ve had lovely meals at both. On the occassion we dined at this location the mural outsiude was being painted. It was finished by the time we came back out. It was gorgeous! I took a photo and instagramed it to Modesto View who reposted it. (Which is a good thing as a few thousand people follow Modesto View on their instagram alone.) I am grateful to any business that goes the extra step to beautify the town.
I had the cheese ravioli with creamy pesto sauce. It was perfection. So delicious. I may have licked my plagte clean :)
My boyfriend had the Timbalo and loved it. My daughter had A chicken salad and liked it alot as well. We are very big fans of this restaurant. We love the food. We will be back again and again. It was recommended to us and now we recommend it as well.
The only thing I could change is the A/​C. Everyone else thought it was nice inside, but I get very hot very quick so its hard for me to tell if its too hot inside or its just me. I do like to feel a blast of cold air during summer. Too bad there is no room to eat outside next to the mural. Its really beautiful.
Yummy pasta as always!

On my last visit I had the Pesto Pasta and it was amazing. Their bread and fried calamari are very good too. Their food always taste fresh, and has good flavor. Everyone who I have been here with has really enjoyed their meal as well.

Its ok, but their food is not very authentic tasting. The sauces are not horrible, but there is almost Hispanic zest to it. This place is probably my least favorite Italian restaurant in town.
Their bread is good though and the service is satisfactory.
2 stars from my family.

Cute lil Italian restaurant. I had a chicken cesar salad. It was well worth the $ 8.99. I was surprised there was no lunch menu… but their menu had a wide variety of italian dishes. Service was excellent! I will be back to try a pasta dish…

I was very disappointed in our meal. I called in two meals to go, the chicken marsala and a Past Primavera. I do have to say the chicken breast was very tender. There was a little marsala sauce and just ok n flavor. The mashed potatoes were so watery they had no flavor or mouth feel. My mom’s pasta Primavera was the biggest let down. The bow tie pasta was sitting in a Romano tomato sauce with a scattering of over steamed veggies on top. It was not pleasing to the eye as most italian dishes are and the flavor was very bland. The flavor was as if they used cambells tomato soup with cream and a little bit of Romano cheese. I do have to say the young lady behind the counter was very friendly.
I work for an Italian food company so my expectations are high. I will stick with chef’s of ny and Bellas for now…

Came here for take out after a friend posted on Facebook that it was yummy. I ordered the Pesto Pollo. The staff was friendly and my order came out pretty fast. As I opened the food I found a nice amount of pasta swimming in pesto sauce. I thought it was too much sauce. Until I tasted it. Now I know why they give you so much delicious focaccia. It’s for dipping in that delicious sauce! One of the best pestos I’ve ever had. Just enough garlic, salt and creaminess. Chicken was cooked perfectly though it was a bit hard to find in all that yummy pesto.
I will be back. No doubt. Highly recommend.
