I have had a first time appointment in August of 2013 and had a pleasant experience other than the long wait. I hope to report more after an outpatient procedure another member of my family is having soon. I am leery of most things I read on Unilocal, but concerned about the last two posts, even if they are a year apart. If this next appointment goes successfully, which I fully expect it will, then it will be my intention to report that and boost this office’s rating. I will be in touch by mid January 2014 post procedure!

I think this medical clinic is wonderful. The girls in front are always smiling and pleasant. Dr. Song is efficient and caring. When you go somewhere new, you always are a little timid but they were all just great. I’m glad that I picked them!

The only reason I went to this medical group was because the doctor I was seeing left the group she was at and moved to this one. I made an appointment, went in, and was given a stack of paperwork to fill out– that was fine. I gave the receptionist my insurance card, filled out the paperwork, and waited over an hour in the tiny front office with two screaming babies and their mothers for my appointment. I saw Dr. Le, got my annual pap, and left– I was a little irritated, but I don’t mind waiting for appointments occasionally, and since I was a new patient I ignored the rude office staff and the screaming kids. However, I was called a couple of weeks later and had to see Dr. Song, and the woman made me cry. I had an abnormal pap, and– I kid you not– Dr. Song said I should be «ashamed» and maybe I was doing something wrong, and she handed me a stack of papers to read and said«Once you read this and have more information, I will talk to you. But it’s obvious you don’t understand right now and clearly you need to take some time alone.» And she walked out of the room. I was shocked, horrified, and scared– she told me I might have cancer– and she wouldn’t answer a single one of my questions. I asked her if my family history of gynecological cancer would have any impact on my diagnosis, and she looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said«Well, if you were listening, you would have heard me the first time. Like I said, if you ignore this for like, ten years, then it could be a problem.» This was in June, and two weeks ago I got a letter from their office saying they don’t take my insurance and I owe them $ 500– something they never said to me in the office and I never received any notice about prior. When I called to explain the situation, the only answer was that I should have been notified. The woman just kept saying over and over that it’s office policy to notify patients if they don’t accept their insurance. Bottom line: the office staff is rude, obviously not competent, and Dr. Song might have been having a bad day, but my experience is that she is not only a bad doctor, but not a very nice person. If you’re looking for an OB/GYN, this is probably not the place for you.
