Needed a plant as a gift. Store had an abundance of nice flowers and plants. Chose a nice plant for $ 25. Was attended by pleasant sales girl. Very satisfied.

My mother made an order to be delivered to me on my very first Mother’s Day this year. The arrangement was beautiful. However, when I spoke to my mother about two weeks later she mentioned some chocolates. I found out I was supposed to get chocolates with the flowers but I had never actually gotten them. No big deal… or so I thought. I tried calling a few days later (I had a newborn so calling a florist about some missing chocolates was not on my list of priorities.) No one answered, it just kept ringing. OK, I’ll try calling back another day. So three weeks from the time of the delivery I finally get ahold of someone; a young lady who was very nice on the phone. I explained what had happened, and she politely puts me on hold…
All of a sudden theres some scuffling and a different woman picks up. She is irate. «What are you doing calling about chocolates a month later!?» She is yelling at me over the phone «HOW DO I KNOW YOU GOT THE CHOCOLATE OR NOT? I DON’T KNOW THAT!» I’m kept my calm because frankly, I was in shock by this exchange. She called me a liar and accused me of trying to steal chocolates from her.
Apparently, in her mind, I had received chocolates with the delivery, ate them, and then a month later I decided I wanted some more chocolate, remembered I got some with my floral arrangement, and thought to call them up pretending I hadn’t gotten any. Ridiculous! I am just an overwhelmed first time mother who had only just found out I was supposed to get them the week before.
This is how this florist handles a mistake on their end? By flat out calling a customer a liar? She said she would give my mother «a credit» for the chocolate, but I just found out that she only said that to get me off of the phone. My mother got nothing! So after yelling at me and calling me a liar, SHE ended up being the one who lied. I will never use this florist again.
