Affordable Inns

Thought I’d share my story which is the same as an earlier post and a great picture you don’t want to see below your headboard in a motel.
Went for showers while hunting in 2014
Room was clean and well appointed.
Came back in 2015 and got a very dirty and not very nice room. Stained carpet, one light for entire bedroom area (dark), bathroom fan didn’t work at all, not pleasant in most regards.
Very basic tv as well. Unfortunately I had come down with a fever the day before so when the roof leaked on my head at 3am in the morning I moved the bed to the other side of the room and spent the rest of the night awake in bed with the chills.
The next morning I spoke with the manager whom said she would notify on site owner. With no response I tracked him down. With water on the wall and floor he told me the roof did not leak and walked away.
I highly DO NOT recommend this establishment.

The service here was horrible !
The ceiling started leaking on us once the rain started around 3 am…
We moved the bed and tried to sleep through the rest of the night.
First thing in the morning around 7am, we called the front desk and the manager came up to take a look at the water on the wall/​carpet/​ceiling. She offered to move us to another room if we wanted to stay another night… But refused to grant any refund or comp for the night of rain on our heads! Then we went through the exact same thing with the owner before we left, again with not even an apology or any attempt to remedy the situation.
We will never ever be returning here.

Where can I start? The receptionist at the front desk was amazing. We had been on the road for a number of hours and were just looking for an affordable place to sleep in. While I was looking for some places online, we drove past this one. The motel we were heading to was $ 20 cheaper. Once we told the receptionist she informed us that that was their sister motel and it was all booked for the night and although she could not match the price she gave us the option of a great deal if we wanted to stay at Affordable Inn. We ended up staying there where she upgraded us to a King Suite. Let me tell you, it was not what I expected. The place was nice and clean, inside and out. Great amenities and all around service. We were very happy campers.
