Don’t you just love Capitalism? If you don’t excel, you don’t succeed. Simple purging process. I have gotten to where I pay cash on delivery now because if I pay with a credit card in advance I’m stuck with whatever I get, I can’t affect delivery time or condition or accuracy of the order. I live just down the street from this shop and have a very 50⁄50 relationship. Perhaps half the orders are correct or timely. Their ordering system is through a joint reception desk servicing several sites around Colorado Springs so perhaps that’s the issue. Whatever the problem is, the business model needs review. Tonight’s order was again wrong. It arrived 10 minutes before promised but their promise is usually 45 minutes to an hour from ordering time so that’s not necessarily a kudo. The pizza was not hot and half incorrect. I was again faced with the ‘take it or leave it’ decision and I sent the order back for a do-over. I was called back by the manager 5 minutes later while I was trying to call him. He said he’d get a replacement order right out. The replacement arrived 31 minutes after the promised rush order. The old half of the original order that was correct? You guessed it. I got that same cold pizza back again. The driver confirmed he had simply put it in the ‘warmer’(really? WARMer?) Now very cold. Wow. To be fair, I do love their crust and their sauce, but I’m afraid it’s reached the point that it’s not worth the aggravation. I’ll be moving to a competitor next time. Sorry, Borriello. If the remainder of your sites are this problematic your business projection may be in peril.

AWFUL!!! We tried Borriello Brothers a couple months ago for the first time and did not have a good experience. We ordered from home, 25 minutes away, and were told the pizza would be ready in 30 – 35 minutes. Perfect. Except we still had to wait another 30 minutes after we got there!!! Our ravioli had been sitting in the warmer the entire time and not only did they not bother to offer it to us while we were waiting, it was completely gross by the time our pizza was ready. We thought maybe it was a fluke so we tried them again the other day. Rude service on the phone, pizza supposed to be ready in half an hour but took over an hour(for a plain pepperoni pizza!), garlic knots sitting in the warmer the entire time, totally disgusting by the time the pizza was ready. Every other person that walked in while I was there was having the same issue. Pizzas not ready, pizzas wrong, etc. It gets even better. They offered every single other person whose order they screwed up something to compensate, drinks while they were waiting, an extra cheese pizza, etc. and I got nothing but an apology! And I’m 91⁄2 months pregnant! Not that that means I deserve special treatment but come on! Seriously? I don’t know if any of their other locations are worth it but the Monument one is NOT! The pizza is ok at best and for the level of service I’d actually just rather go to Dominos. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Very tasty but you definitely pay for it! A medium pizza is almost $ 20! I was impressed how easy it was to order online and get it delivered in a jiff. This place definitely hit the spot for a lazy weekend feast!

Ordered last week for delivery, and the delivery guy was really nice. He was also here pretty quickly. We got a large college veggie pizza. It was pretty good. The eggplant was a bit soggy. But the crust was awesome. This is one crust I actually ate. The sauce seemed ok, but we couldn’t tell because there wasn’t enough of it on this pizza or the other one. The other pizza we ordered was pepperoni. It was good except for the huge amount of grease. They should try different pepperoni. We also got a dessert pizza. That was actually not good at all. It had canned pineapple and berries. The crust was identical to the pizza crust, so it was like eating a pizza with fruit on it. Without the cream cheese dipping sauce, I would not have eaten it. Even then, it was bland and not fresh tasting. I might eat there again if i was just wanting a simple pizza. But I’d try to look for somewhere with more flavor.

Just had an absolutely awful experience with Borriello Brothers pizza in Monument. Placed my order online. Ordered 5 pizzas… came home and 3 of the 5 had anchovies! Ew! We definitely didn’t order anchovies. Called to let them know and they refused to correct our order. They said it was added when I placed the order online. Obviously they have a glitch with their online order system but they chose to believe that over a customer. They’ve lost me as a customer, that is for sure. Buyer beware!

One if the worst pizza places iv been to. Iv given this place multiple chances and it’s always the same. For a shop that serves individual slices you would expect they would have some ready but that is not the case. Usually I’ll pick up 2 slices of pepperoni. When I ask if they have slices they always say yes but every time I get slices of cheese that they throw pepperonis on before they reheat it. The end result is always warm pizza with Luke warm pepperonis without any of the pepperoni taste being cooked into the pizza. Also stay away from delivery if you want a cold pizza. I live less than 5 miles from them and it takes about 1.5 hours for them to get me my pizza. By that time the pizza is cold. But it’s OK if that’s an issue they’ll be willing to come and pick it back up for you or you have to just suffer and pay for a cold pizza.

Good pizza, but the WORST service I’ve ever experienced. Take out pizza 40 minutes late. Delivery pizzas never showing up. I’ve given them chance after chance, and I’m done.

Beware when ordering«specials» and adding extra ingredients. Our $ 1018″ one-topping pizza specials skyrocketed to $ 19 because the $ 1 extra toppings we were quoted turned out to be $ 3 each on an 18″ pizza. The pizza is average and the Genoa salami I paid extra for as a «specialty topping» was used very sparingly. I may as well have ordered a cheese pizza because there was hardly any of the up-charged salami anywhere to be found. My son is vegan and ordered his pizza without cheese, but having added red pepper, roasted tomato and fresh basil, the«$ 10 special» ballooned to $ 19. I can buy an entire basil plant for a little more than $ 3, so charging that much for a few measly leaves is unconscionable. His pizza was also burnt on the bottom, so we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get an edible pizza while mine grew cold to the touch. It is difficult to find good pizza anywhere but on the right and left coasts and I was left unimpressed after this experience. My son also told me that the last time he went there he asked if he could substitute an additional topping seeing that he cannot eat cheese and asked that the mozzarella be excluded, but he was told, «no you cannot» … UNSAT. We usually just get pizza and garlic knots. Lately we have tried their sandwiches and chicken parm pasta dish. Yummy! The staff is always super nice and fast! So glad we have this place as one of our go to food spots! So close to home too :) Keep up the great job Boriello Bros!

I have been eating at Borriello Brothers for a couple of months now with no complaints. However, this past week, I ordered a green olive pizza and the olives were rotten! They were brownish and smelled weird. When I called to ask for a refund or a new pizza, they said it was fine and that they turn brown in the oven most times. I’ve ordered a pizza with green olives almost every time and the olives have been green and tasted just fine. It’s sad because I loved this place and now I think I will be taking a business elsewhere.

If you are looking for expensive«pizza» that tastes like stale bread with cheese melted on it, look no more. With a wait time that is astounding for a dish that shouldn’t be legally served to humans, this«award winning» pizza was an extreme disappointment. Not only is this pizza nothing like New York pizza it isn’t even good for Colorado pizza. If you are in the area find somewhere else to eat. The family sitting next to us left because the employees forgot to serve them. This restaurant is not worth your time. I hear they have good garlic knots, but unless you just want a plate of those, I would drive elsewhere or order Dominos, it couldn’t possibly be worse.

This is my favorite pizza chain, and I was happy that one was close to our new home when moving back to the area. I’ve used the location twice – once for delivery and once with their lunch specials. Both were good experiences, consistent with what I’ve come to expect from Borriello Brothers. I was surprised by the reviews, but they were consistent, especially with the rude manager, who I have not encountered, and the poorly put together/cooked food. Either they got their act together or we’ve had good anomalies. I’ll definitely be back — often, so will be a bit more cautious and observant after reading the reviews. Hopefully they’ve taken the feedback to heart and addressed the problems!

We got this pizza to go last week. I am not a fan of thick crust but that’s what my husband got not knowing there was thinner crust and it was great. We will definitely order there again.

What happened to Borriello Brothers? As the chain has expanded, so has their distance from the good, quality pizza they used to be known for. I’ve been to just about every BB location around Colorado Springs, including this Monument location on multiple occasions, and I’ve watched the quality, service and even the pizza itself go completely down the drain over the last 6 years. They used to have the best NY pizza in town — maybe the State — and what I was served at both this location, and the Research location bares no resemblance to the pizza they used to make. I don’t know if this is just a case of bad management, franchising without regard to quality control, leaving the stores in the hands of kids, or just that the owner is expanding his ‘chain’ of stores without actually checking on the ‘managers’ running these places. My latest experience will be my last — and is a great disappointment from a restaurant I used to love. My husband and I visited the Monument location on a Thursday night. Placed an order for one large pizza at 7:03. We were told it would be 20 minutes. We went and sat down at a booth and waited — staring blankly at the T.V.‘s that weren’t turned on. 20 minutes pass by — then 25. My husband inquires about the pizza and is told by the kids behind the counter, who looked completely confused by his request, that they were ‘sorry’ and that the pizza would be out in 5 – 7 minutes. We continued to wait — 30 minutes, then 35 minutes — My husband asked again — and again they looked befuddled and fumbled around looking at each other and told him again — oh it will just be a few more minutes(because pizza is indeed complicated and time-consuming to make). After a 44 minute wait, the pizza arrives — and it was the worst looking, completely thrown-together mess of a pizza we’ve ever seen. It had so little sauce that you could barely see it — and the sauce and cheese on one side of the pie fell short a good 3 – 4 inches from the edge of the crust. The half with olives had so many olives carelessly thrown on it that it tasted like pure vinegar, and the entire pie had an off taste of what was clearly the juice of banana peppers or pepperoncinis which must have been on the last pie they cut. The crust was terribly uneven and so paper thin in places that it just had not flavor. The second it was laid on the table, we asked to see a manager. A guy of about 22 shuffles up to the table with attitude and asks what the problem is. We asked him if the quality of that pizza is up to their standards, to which he said nothing and just goes — what’s wrong? Do you want me to have them remake it? To which we pointed out that not only did we wait 44 minutes for it, after he was the one who took the order and told us it would be 20 minutes — but that everything about the pizza was terrible, and nothing like the pizza we’ve always had from Boriello Brothers. The last thing we wanted to do was wait another 30 – 40 minutes for a pizza. We also pointed out how it had hardly any cheese or sauce, and that the crust was improperly stretched — to which he points out that ‘that’s their crust and it’s not like pizza hut’. Sadly — this is what you get when you leave a restaurant in the hands of kids — because that’s the case here. The kitchen is being run by kids with no sense of quality control, accuracy, inventory control as evident by the toppings, or a sense of pride. The ‘manager’ has absolutely no clue when it comes to customer service and how to handle complaints — and a pizza that sad should never have left the kitchen. Adding insult to injury — and further showing that this place is mismanaged and bleeding profits — is the fact that said ‘manager’ then walked around to all the other tables around us, apologizing for their wait and telling them their food was on him and offering to bring them free garlic knots while they waited. It was a good little show of playing manager after we complained and those around us noticed — otherwise, he’d have still been in the back ignoring customers. Such a total disappointment that our once favorite pizza in the state has been reduced to a poor quality, inconsistent, over-priced playground for the display of how to ruin a business with lack of management.

We had lunch here today and it was not that great of food or service. The pizza came out so greasy that you could actually wring it out on your plate. They forgot to bring out our fried dough and didn’t give us our cookies that we had paid for. We had to go back to the counter to pick them up. The service was okay and the pizza is very greasy, so be prepared as it made my girlfriend’s stomach roil a bit, but didn’t bother me. If you have other choices then I would go somewhere else in Castle Rock, CO.

There is no doubt this is good Pizza. I have been to several other locations across town. They all provide excellent service and a quality meal. I can confidently say I will not return to the Monument Colorado location. It is because of the arrogance of the GM. I entered today inquiring about a specific deal that several guys around our shop has received. I’ll be the first to admit, it is an amazing deal that we get(used to get). I have no issue with a certain deal going away if it’s too deep. The problem I had was the response I received when I asked about it. I was told that she had been there for 6 months or so and there has never been such a deal. And that if our shop would give her 50% off, she would give us 50% off pizza. We have had several employees go to this restaurant because of this deal that was offered. It has been going on for months. Now to just say that it never happened and imply I’m lying is terrible customer service. No is always an answer. How you say it will go a long way. Because of this particular general manager, I will no longer spend any money at this location.

When you order a buffalo chicken pie, you expect to see chicken. We couldn’t taste the chicken or any buffalo sauce. The bacon, onion and tomato tasted okay. We did ask if we had the right pizza and where the chicken was? The waitress said«its there,». Where? The hand tossed crust was good. Shame the buffalo chicken pizza doesn’t have chicken or buffalo sauce, oh wait, it’s there… You just can’t see it, or taste it.

Oct 2014: 4-stars… I’m From the Boston area and used to NY style pizza so this is the closest to pizza from home. I love the crust most of all! UPDATE: whoa, what happened to borriello bros! I used to order from different locations, always consistently good, but the past 2 orders were so very bad. Most recently I ordered from Monument in late June and as a result nearly swore off the concept of eating pizza. Two pizzas: No sauce, undercooked, a sloppy inedible mess… And it was not busy or a lull. What gives? I may give BB another shot in a few months but until then there are other places to go. Such a disappointment for a regular haunt! I hope management does some internal and external surveys to pin point and fix what is going wrong… Clearly from other reviews, my experience is the new norm.

It has been 2 years since I’ve had Borriello Brothers seeing that I wasn’t initially a fan. Well last night they lost another star. We ordered pizza via a great Groupon deal, it came with garlic knots and salad. The salad had some black wilted lettuce and the garlic knots were burned. But of course we didn’t know these things until we showed up at our friends’ home with the food. The«Club Med» pizza was delicious but many of the pizza slices were minimally covered by the toppings and sauce. When I arrived to pickup our order I checked in on Unilocal and found a check in offer for a free order of garlic knots. I showed this to the cashier and she said«I don’t know what that is.» But instead of asking someone how to ring it in she just said couldn’t do it. So much for the check in offer, kinda defeats the point of having one.
