We checked out this Chipotle location when traveling back from New York and driving down 77. We were in the mood for a quick bite and didn’t want to wait long. With only 3 stars, I was nervous because most locations have outstanding reviews! This is a stand alone location, which is located in front of a large shopping plaza. There are tons of other restaurants and shops for your pleasure! This location was clean and seemed orderly. We visited on a Tuesday evening, and there was a very short line in front of us. The server who made my bowl was friendly, and portions were on point. My husband got a double chicken burrito and unfortunately it fell apart, almost immediately– so I had to take one star away. They have a good size indoor eating area and a very large patio– where we sat. We’d visit again if in the area!

For anyone who’s first chipotle experience was at this location, please know that all chipotles are not created equally! I’ve been to several different locations in various states and I’ve never experienced the consistent issues I have at this location. I’ve generally had okay experiences with the customer service, but it’s inconsistent and I can see why some reviewers have complained. The food could be good, but the rice(especially the brown rice) is literally ALWAYS undercooked. Everybody knows how annoying it is to eat hard rice. Probably the worst thing about this location is that nobody in the entire place seems to have any kind of burrito wrapping skills… but ur signature item is the burrito! Last time I tried getting as few ingredients as possible, thinking over-filling was the problem(although it’s never been a problem for me at other chipotles), and the burrito still turned out exactly like it always does here: loosely rolled, soggy, falling apart, with all of the ingredients sectioned off and separated. Nobody wants to bite into a burrito and get a mouthful of only rice or only beans I would say the bowl is your safest option, if it were not for the risk of chipping your tooth on raw rice. Overall, chipotle is definitely worth a try, just try it elsewhere before chancing it here.

I have giving this location too many tries to get it right. The worst things is the rice is always undercooked. If you asked for anything extra they act like you asked them to strip down. I am done, I will not waste my money here.

Rudest staff ever. I understand you have a busy lunch time hour, but can you please just make a burrito that isn’t falling apart? Also I don’t want to see you«re wrap» it and see half the meat and ingredients falling on the floor. If you break the burrito to the point where it is impossible for it to stay together, remake it please.

We are from Ohio and we were in Mooresville for our sons wedding the weekend of July 11. We ate here the first night we arrived with our son and his fiancé. The food was excellent. As we were responsible for the rehearsal dinner and this is our sons favorite restaurant they had chipotles cater the dinner. The food, for 50, was ready on time, was hot and plentiful and very good. Everyone was very pleased with the choice. Even the price we thought was reasonable for what we got. Good job Chipotle, Mooresville. We will stop again next time in the area. Thanks

Disappointed every other time I go into this location it is definetly hit or miss, but this time was the worst. For the amount of employees that were behind the counter this is unexceptable, they were out of three(3) choices on the menu and when I said something the guy said to me «it’s been this way all day because no one prepped this morning». I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen you don’t open your doors and pretend that this establishment is ready to serve the customer. I wonder what his excuse would be if I asked him why he had to wipe his face with the back of his covered hand while he was serving me or why there were employees outside catching a smoke or why the beverage area was a sloppy mess and there was a lady digging in the lemon container because there were no tongs and decided she got to many and threw it back with her bare hands. REALLY!!! I think this location needs a visit from the BOARDOFHEALTH and these employees need training on how to serve food. Sorry fans of CHIPOTLE this location needs help! I did make a purchase, but with the experience I had I couldn’t possibly eat it, I tossed it when I got home. Charlene M. Mooresville NC

I love Chipotle as a chain, but this location has been a disappointment 8 out of the 10 times I’ve been. They are always out of something, whether it be a meat or vegetables, the rice is ALWAYS undercooked, and it is extremely slow. The people are nice, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the fact that the food is not what it is expected to be.

Overrated. First time here. Got the chicken burrito. They were out of both rices and were scraping bottom on everything else. Inside my chicken burrito were chicken bones, I know because I chewed on it, then spit it out. The chips are in a paper bag which makes the chips taste like paper bag. Guacamole is pre-packaged. I thought they used all fresh ingredients? I’m not sure what all the hype is but this wasn’t a good first experience and I don’t think I’ll be back. Sorry chipotle.

I like chipotle but this location is full of douche bags. They didn’t have the vegetables so I had to eat my burrito without them. Not worth 7 dollars without vegetables. Angry again! It’s bad enough this place is infested with Ecoli, but once again they don’t have the food required to make a meal. Today no lettuce or Guacamole. SERIOUSLY?! Neither. And guess when they told us? Yep ATTHEEND! Wouldn’t have eaten here if I knew that would happen. Apparently The manager ordered the wrong things so they don’t have the stuff that they should. Whatever, won’t be back here!

Overrated, must just be a trendy thing as we found that there were not many choices, steak was tough, quesadilla was bland and cheese wasn’t melted. Salsaritas is far better in our opinion.

Staff is quick and friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious, and affordable for what it is(organic, non-GMO). They do, however, tend to run out of chips fairly often.

Back in Colorado is where I had my first Chipotle experience. The food and atmosphere was always amazing. then the Army took me to Fort Bragg and to my surprise the closest Chipotle was 2 hours away. I made the trip as much as I could but it was Not good enough. Finally I got out and moved to mooresville and the closest one was 30 min away. My wife and I were so excited when this one came to town and we are definitely Chipotle addicts. We eat here sometimes 5 times in a week. This one has had some ups and downs for quantity in your bowl but it never dissapoints and the management always makes sure we are happy.

I’ve been back since my review and the chicken is better, more tender than I remember. I love to eat here and come quite often. I like it better than Chili’s or other restaurants in that same area. Chipotle is my #1 favorite restaurant chain. Yum!

My husband and I had been wanting to eat here for so long that I think we built this up to much. My husband thought it was pretty good and would go back. For me I was disappointed. For the money we spent more then we do at Salsaritas and I left wanting Salsaritas instead of Chipotle. This restaurant has a school cafeteria feel which I hate considering the money you pay. The food choices are rather limited. I do appreciate everything is so fresh. My burrito was alright. Not the best, but not the worst. The salsa is spicy for being a mild and I did not like that there was no cheese sauce as an option for the chips. My husband’s got the guacamole for his burrito. He got an ok amount, but did have to pay extra for it. I personally would not return, but my husband liked it.

Been driving to Charlotte to get Chipotle the last 3 years because that was the cloesest one! Glad there is finally one the Lake Norman area within a reasonable driving distance. Excellent Carnitas and Barbacoa, love the corn salsa, always have loved the option of the burrito bowl at this chain. They charge an arm and a leg for guacamole and it depends on who is serving you if you get your money’s worth. This specific location, I have been about 6 times since they opened and there is a mix of workers: mostly good(very friendly, i had one guy get a brand new mix of barbacoa because the current batch had been sitting out for a while) and some bad(not friendly, painstakingly slow). My only quip with this location is that the burrito«assembly line» is not efficient and often have to wait a while for your turn. Otherwise, the food, portions, and price are all awesome!

Just went today for the first time and I tell it was very good food. You walk in the door and you see tables lined up in a row, like your in a lunch room at school. That’s really the only thing I have against Chipotle’s. if it were any fuller my wife would never have eat there. The crew was very helpful when we were contemplating what to order. Asked a few questions about one of the meat selections, it a Was like a shredded roast beef, extremely tasty, and spicy. That right there got me to likening the place more, lol. So they whip out this monster tortilla I knew it was gonna be a BIG burrito, another plus. They heat it up in this massive tortilla warmer. Then it’s time to filler up. It’s like an assembly line. Walk down the line and tell them what you want on your burrito. Bean, black or pinto, rice, brown or white, and then salsa, lettuce and all the regular fixings you find in a burrito. Good salsas too. Red green. and your choice of heat. Wife had burrito salad, everything the same just no tortilla. The meats are spicy, which she didn’t like, but not to much that she couldn’t eat it. They also have tortilla chips for sale. I would highly recommend Chipotle Mexican Grill to anyone who asks. Oh. Only gave it 4 stars cause you don’t have 4 ½ to put in. That was only because of seating choices. Price was alright, around $ 6 to $ 7 for one BIG burrito.
