Delicious chicken and berry salad. It’s a seasonal dish. Wonderful service while traveling back to Florida. Not very busy in a Tuesday evening.

Probably the best breakfast spot in Mooresville for the price. They seem to retain staff well. Staff and management recognize and greet regular customers with a friendly smile and hello. They’re not perfect, but in my experience, they make a good faith effort and succeed the majority of the time. Great place for lunch and dinner comfort food or breakfast anytime.

Good food, great service, clean restaurant. Not a lot of options if you don’t eat meat but it’s still good!

We just had the best meal at this CB. Amanda our waitress was great. We had our two grandchildren with us who are 4 and 2. She brought their food right away so they didn’t have to wait, especially since they had been stuck in the car for over 4 hours. Thanks Amanda and CB for making a weary family feel comfortable and welcomed

First time I went to a Cracker Barrel and it was a great experience! The waitress was very sweet, the service was great. I was surprised how good the food tasted. My family ordered pancakes(comes with warm maple syrup in a cute little bottle), ribeye, and country steak and it was all delicious and plentiful. I will definitely return and the rocking chairs with chess table are a plus. Very relaxing to sit outside and enjoy playing a game.

Normally my biggest complaint about Cracker Barrel is the prolonged waits after you get there and management who do not focus on solving this problem. No complaints on the food and wait staffs are generally friendly and helpful although our server today did forget my side salad but a problem easily corrected. Apparently someone has finally address this problem. The parking lot was packed when we got there and I expected the worst. The lady who signed us in at the door, entered our name and number in the party which was communicated directly to the hostess station. When I asked how long a wait, she replied maybe 5 minutes. Could not believe it. 5 minutes later, our name was called and we were promptly seated. The place was packed but I had a chance to see why things were moving so well. Additional staff was allocated to bussing and sanitizing the tables an at no time, did I observe a table sit there more than 30 seconds without someone jumping on it. In at least two cases, the manager himself jumped in an and started cleaning till the regular staff could get to it. Quick turnaround on tables means less waits and the more rapid turnovers maximizes the stores profits. If this continues, we will definately be back in the near future.

It’s a chain but when my friends from CA visited NC, this spot was their one requested must stop breakfast, only they ordered it at dinner time. So maybe it’s a tourist stop but my family still loves eating there for breakfast. Love their hash brown casserole, bacon, and chicken n dumplings.

My parents picked Cracker Barrel to meet for lunch, so since I’m a great Son, I agreed. I understand the appeal, I just don’t understand the CB fanatics. Fair to average food, decent(but not outstanding) service, but the crowds flock. I usually order the fried chicken salad, with Vidalia onion dressing. I love the eggs, and the chicken if it’s hot. Otherwise, it’s a salad. As other reviewers have mentioned, don’t be a hurry if you dine here.

I always ask for biscuits when the waiter takes our drink order. They are always just like homemade… this time we asked for their apple butter which was so good on the hot biscuits. Tried their meatloaf for the first time; it was a hearty portion and tasty, but not like homemade or what I’m used to. Wife had their grilled chicken and was very pleased with her choice. Overall, the service was exceptional and the staff very friendly.

I love breakfast food, therefore I love Cracker Barrel! It can be a long wait on weekends. I always get one of the big breakfast combos,(ask for the apple butter, free on request), though my hubby often gets something like chicken and dumplings or fried chicken. It’s always good, but come hungry! I also like that they carry UNC stuff, candy and Woodwick in the store!

If you’ve been to a Cracker Barrel before, then you know the food is good — this place is no exception. And, if you have been to Cracker Barrel, then you also know that the store front can be crowded. I think that’s one of the biggest places I hate coming to these places… but I don’t ever come when there’s no occasion, so I can’t tell you if this place is ever just ‘slow’. I think the last time we went it was for Mother’s Day — and well, yes, we were jammed packed in there like sardines. But even with the high volume of people and orders, the food was still good. We had to wait, but nothing too unbearable.

Had some errands to run in Mooresville this am and wanted breakfast before we got started. Had’nt been in a Cracker Barrel since New Years Day 2010, so we decided to stop in. My wife got a yogurt parfait with a HUGE blueberry muffin that she said was very good. I got a steak biscuit with hashbrown casserole. While the hashbrown casserole was good, my steak biscuit was the smallest I had ever seen, not much bigger than a poker chip! A few bites and it was gone, leaving me hungry a few hours later. I wish I had stopped at Stacey’s in Denver before going to Mooresville. For the same money, I could have had a filling breakfast and would not have been hungry a few hours later. Cracker Barrel, it might be another 2 ½ years before you see me again, if at all!

What can you say about cracker barrel? it predictable, country décor and consistently middle of the road. Nothing at this place will wow you, but you can fill your belly with delicious biscuits. I had the gravy and biscuits the morning we stopped in. I really wished Cracker Barrel would learn to make brown gravy vs the bland white boring stuff they serve. but, its a chain, what can you really expect from them. The service from our server was great, no complaints there. Back in the day Cracker Barrel use to have good home cooked tasting meals, sadly, thats in the past. its just another chain with chain tasting food. :(

how can you not love cracker barrel. Yes, the food is not spectacular, but for those of use who don’t have a cracker barrel it’s always a treat! Love the rustic feel and the country store. Best part is when i go in December there’s ALWAYS ornaments on sale. The only downside is i wish they’d have a healthier option side. The most expensive substitution is a salad. But all the lard and fat you want for free. A great selection of food none the less and i haven’t had a bad thing yet.

You can’t go wrong if you want a good breakfast or some southern comfort food. Believe it or not, the chicken tortilla soup is awesome. I am a west coast transplant who’d never before heard of hashbrown casserole but one bite and I was hooked! We bring out of town guests for breakfast and they always want to return. If you are visiting for the morning/lunch menu, ask for Anna as your server; she’s the best!

My first and almost-only Cracker Barrel experience. Breakfast is good, coffee is crap. Go for the fried apples and hashbroen casserole!

I can only give a place a partial rating for a place I would only eat breakfast at. The breakfast and coffee are awesome, but the lunch and dinner food is garbage. This place also has a general store attached as well where you can refuel the snacks and drinks for the road as well if you are driving long distances. I generally stick with the Mom’s Pancake Breakfast and coffee and I am good for a good part of the day.
