Going downhill quick. Out of menu items on a regular basis. Used to be good. Too many issues now.

Had not been here in a few months so Went here on Monday night and the place was empty but it was fantastic food. So today I took a friend back for lunch and it was horrible! Both orders came out wrong, she ordered pub chips but received fries, I order Tuscan Chicken without the bread and it was on bread with the cheese melted into the bread so there was no pulling it apart. When server came back we told her of mess up. Pub chips came then my chicken came out, obviously scraped off bread with a drizzle of glaze when I questioned about the cheese she said it’s melted in, well there was none. I ordered pasta salad and it tasted stale, so I set it aside. Server never came back to check with us until the meal was over. At that time I told her that the salad was stale and she asked if I wanted something else as a side. Well lunch was over so I said no. Then our bill came and we each were charged .75 for ranch to use on the pub chips, REALLY? Who does that? Then we noticed at the bottom of the bill there is a surcharge for credit cards ! Really would have been nice to have it posted on the door when entering not after you eat! Now I realize why the place was dead on Monday evening as well as today at lunch. The place used to be packed during lunch and dinner.
Just read over some other reviews and realized WOW, a bunch of stale food is being served

Went here for the first time since moving to Mooresville. Walked in, nice little place. Went to the second floor to eat. Was enjoyable. Building set up just like all the rest on Main St.
Got a burger and fries, reminded me a NY style diner food. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed the food, it tasted pretty good. Going there for the breakfast next.

Server was uninformed about beer selection and food options. They were out of wraps, potato salad, and toilet paper in the bathrooms. Basically everything we ordered needed to be altered because they were out of something. Food was not great and for the price of the food it was enough to leave us feeling a little sick.
P. S. They charge extra for some condiments

My husband and I used to live in Mooresville, and frequently had breakfast at Daily Grind when they were located on Brawley School. We’ve since moved, and hadn’t revisited Daily Grind in their new location on Main Street until recently. We had forgotten how much we loved their breakfast, but since rediscovering them a few months ago, they are now in our regular rotation for Saturday breakfast.
My favorite is their Spanish scramble (or omelet). Their scramble/​omelet is fully loaded, and I always choose their hash browns (usually nice and crispy), and an English muffin. My husband loves their eggs (always fried to a perfect medium), and country ham. Service is always friendly and speedy.
Their new location is bright and airy, with seating on both floors. We love sitting upstairs near the front windows, where we have a great view of Main Street.
If you haven’t tried Daily Grind for breakfast, I highly recommend them!

I love breakfast. The daily grind has a fantastic menu, I love sitting in the nook or the second floor. The waitresses are hit or miss (never seen a male waiter) parking downtown is always a hassle for me though!

Always great service and yummy food. Been there for breakfast and lunch. Both are great. Very similar to a diner in terms of variety. Very interesting looking inside, I enjoy that.

I give this place a five for service and atmosphere. (The floor is sticky, but whatever, I’m not going barefoot.) The food… I give a three and a half. It was fine, but more like diner food. I had the veggie burger. Standard. The food needs more salt in general. I would definitely come back here and try some breakfast food.

Okay in full disclosure I’ve been in retail for over thirty years so I hate the practice of how much credit card companies and banks charge businesses for the use of credit cards. That said one of the worst practices you can find in any business is surprising your customers with a charge they didn’t expect. Yes in the smallest print on the bottom of one section of the menu you can find a statement «all card purchases subject to a 3% fee». Dear owner (s), that doesn’t make the practice justified or good business. Merchants if you take credit, take it! Don’t charge your customers for the privilege of giving you business. If your margins are that slim, go cash only. This is a crappy practice and for that I give this place three stars and goodbye Daily Grind. You won’t collect one penny from me in the future, too many ethical business worth my patronage.

My sister works here. So, it’s badass. Food is amazing. Get Chris’ French Onion Soup and pub chips. Fill up on great food before you have a drink a the bathtub gin (conveniently located next door.) Best thing on Main Street. Guaranteed.

I have had spoiled moldy food at Daily Grind multiple times now. service has been repeatedly frustrating. This restaurant unfortunately is getting banned. too many disappointments too many times.

If you’re looking for a nice home-​cooked meal, this is the place to go. The staff are very nice and the food is even better. We deathly recommend this place for lines the breakfast is good too.

We loved going here for breakfast. Great place but the food falls short. The staff is very good at attending to you. Food out of the kitchen is super slow. No one should wait over an hour for eggs. The food when you get it is so-​so nothing to write home about!
Need management to step up their game!

I love the look and layout of the Daily Grind. I especially love the second floor with tables by the large windows looking out into the street. It’s hard to explain, it just makes you feel happy.
There’s a decent selection on the menu, and I opted for a roast beef sandwich for lunch (or was it a French Dip? For some reason I can’t remember if it came with au jus).
It was… a decent lunch, although the roast beef was pretty low grade and cooked to within an inch of its existence, resulting in something that was too tough for my liking. Other than that, it was a solid lunch and a good value for money.
All other factors, service, wait time, etc. were all great for us.

I heard lots about this place but fell short of expectations.
Perhaps we went at busiest time ??? Sunday about 10:30−11am. Seems like all servers were just too busy. Food was just nothing great. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything special

Walked in for a quick bite to eat around 5 pm on a Saturday with my girlfriend. We were starving and looking for something quick while down town.
The atmosphere kind of gave me the impression that it was going to be lacking as they were pretty much dead and the place looked a little dirty.
I ordered an Italian panini and my girlfriend ordered a BLT both with fries and pasta salad. The food came out within 10 minutes. It only took one look to know it wasn’t going to be good.
The fries were undercooked and the pasta salad looked very old. The panini had far too much ham on it which was dry and old like it had been sitting on a flat top all afternoon, and the bacon on the BLT was burnt and dry. Both breads seemed stale and my girlfriend actually had to spit out one of the fries that she insisted tasted moldy.
This was not a pleasant experience and I will definitely not be going back.
… Another turn off was an employee yelling about someone «looking at his ass» from the back. This was audible throughout the entire building.

As much as I wish I loved this place for being an independent eatery in the downtown area, I am either turned off by the food or the service. This time it was the food. I ordered rye toast, and it was stale! I ate what I could of it. When the server asked me how it all was, I politely told her and she graciously offered to bring new as little something else. I asked for the fresh fruit cup.
The melon pieces were all old and tasteless!
At least the veggies were fresh and the service was good.

**Update to my previous review: food is still great, but the wait is just not worth it. Because the food is good, we have gone back several times but probably not again. Knowing that they are slow, we ordered an egg for our toddler as soon as we sat down because he gets hangry waiting for his food and it still took 20 minutes to bring out one scrambled egg, then another 20 for our food. The waitress wasn’t terribly nice about it either. Good food is only good if you are still in a good mood when it arrives.
**Original review: Great brunch place. The Blue Ridge eggs Benedict was outstanding, as is the French toast, and the coffee is some of the best going. Only down side is that both times we have been here, the wait has been significantly longer than expected, and with a hungry toddler, that can seem like a very long time. If the kitchen was a bit faster this place would be top notch.

Ate lunch there today had a pesto chicken panini with home chips and potatoe salad. Very large sandwich and comes with 2 sides. This is first time we have eaten here. Ate upstairs and it was warm up there. Not many people eating up there and guess that was why. Food was fair.

Good for breakfast, had delicious chocolate chip pancakes. Had 2 and I couldn’t even finish them because they were so big. Portion size is huge. Order the bacon extra crispy though unless you want it left kind of fatty. Staff was super friendly. Would go back if in area
