Fun patio, great service and delicious menu! We are looking forward to returning. Great spot in LKN area.

Had lunch here with the wife. She claimed it was one of her favorite lunches here in the two years we have been here. She loved her French dip sandwich and chips. I had the turkey and dressing special and put it firmly in the«okay» category over all. Turkey and dressing were tasty. Fries were very thick and limp. Tried the Mac and cheese and it was above average. The skipped the cranberries though. Adding and extra star above my meal because wife liked it so much. Service was very good and it is a nice restaurant. I would go again.

I’m not sure why this restaurant had such great reviews. I can only think that it was because they decided to do a buffet for Mother’s Day – I don’t think they were well versed at doing a buffet and they should have let people order off the menu. It was horrible. Now mind you we had a reservation for 2pm on Mother’s Day and maybe it was at the end of it but they kept running out of food. What they started with was not what the finished with. Even my 5 year old niece would not eat the chicken fingers and she loves chicken fingers. The pork and chicken were dry, I didn’t get to try the beef because it was gone, and most of the food was cold. I was so disappointed because I was looking forward to trying their shrimp and grits off the menu. The buffet cost us $ 26 and my niece who ate 3 pieces of fruit and a couple bites of mash potatoes cost $ 13. I could have gotten better for my money at Golden Corral. The sad thing is that two of my sisters live close by and were looking forward to trying Jeffrey’s because they had heard great things about it. I don’t think either of them will be back. My suggestion for Jeffrey’s is stick to the menu if that is what you are good at – please do not do another buffet.

You know it’s good when a departing guest says, «Get the pork chop!» as you’re walking into the restaurant. Actually I got the blackened chicken pasta with spinach. And it was delicious. It was also a get-a-cocktail kind of day so I ordered a margarita & it was large and perfect. They are known for their warm, crusty bread which is served with both butter and olive oil. My only(slight) criticism is that I was eating alone & the service was not as sharp as it was for couples or groups. No one shared the specials, for example. Still, Jeffrey’s is a good choice if you are in the Mooresville-Lake Norman, NC area.

Worst restaurant experience EVER! The waitress was rude and took way longer than necessary to get back to our table every time. After ordering the spinach artichoke dip we waited at least 30 minutes for, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes until the waitress came to tell us that she had put our order in wrong and they had to make everything all over again. She came back with a plate of artichoke over some type of meat covered in remoulade sauce. Disgusting. We sent it back. After waiting another 30 minutes, it was now dark outside(we dined on the patio) and they finally brought our food. The shrimp and grits were only okay. The chicken caprese was cold and bland. We left extremely unsatisfied. Nothing about this restaurant was worth the high price of everything. I will never be back.

We Stopped in because it was close to our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. Great filet, great grilled shrimp, and great service. Even the kids meals got four thumbs up. We will definitely be back on our next trip south.

Extremely disappointing. The fried green tomato appetizer was good but otherwise our meal was sub-par. I had a 16 ounce ribeye Pittsburgh style. This style doesn’t mean cover the steak in as much SALT as possible and cook it like any other steak. If the new chef doesn’t know how to make a decent steak Pittsburgh style then it should be removed from the menu especially since the prices have all been increased. My wife had the Chicken Caprese which she said was also not very good. Definitely wasn’t worth the price!

Disappointing experience. We had to send two plates back because food was cooked incorrectly. Took us over an hour to get our checks after dinner. Lesson learned.

Went in tonight and I can’t say the food was terrible or the service but the way my situation was handled by the manger was just unreasonable. We had ordered an appetizer which was fried green tomatoes and one of the people in my party had a bunch of strands of wire in the batter when they bit into it. The manager did come out and seem kind of sympathetic to what had happened and that she took the $ 8 appetizer off of our bill. After we received our food which was fine we got out check and we reviewed the bill and I asked our server to work with us on our bill. She threw somewhat of a temper tantrum then marched off to the back and told us the manager thought that was fair. If the manager thought it was fair why didn’t she come out an speak to us. What would have happened if someone had eaten the wire in the appetizer. The server said it was from something used for washing the dishes but I don’t know how that gets mixed in with the food. Overall I can say I won’t return.

It’s okay… Just not what it should be for the price and atmosphere. They’re friendly. I got a decent bottle of wine in the bar on one visit at a reasonable price(it was on special). I’ve eaten here about three times. Dinner twice, lunch once. At dinner, the steak was fair, not great. Cooked correctly, just not a lot of flavor. The sides were not that good. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I recommend this place.

While we have dined at Jeffrey’s many times. today was the first time in over two years that we have eaten lunch at Jeffreys on a Sunday. Not a real brunch per se because there are no breakfast items but just a staight lunch menu. No problem because while my wife does not like breakfast so a lunch is more in line with her tastes and as for me, I can go either way. Walked in promptly at 11:00 when they opened having come over from Church. Hostess indicated that we could seat outselves anywhere we wanted since we were the first patrons so we found a big table by one of the windows. Our server was very prompt with the menus and took our order for coffee which was promptly dispatched. Very good coffee I might add. I ordered the Reuben with the 11 hours aged Corned Beef and Red Cabbage while my wife ordered a Monte Christo. For sides she got the Mac anc Cheese and I had the sour cream bacon potatoe salad. This is where our first problem occured. They were out of Corned Beef and would not have more till the next day. Fall back postion was the Crab Cake Sandwich which turned out quite good. My wife enjoyed her Monte Christo as well so we both ended up happy. Would recommend Jeffrey’s to anyone seeking out a good place for lunch or dinner.

After visiting a family member in the hospital and accustomed to the«hospital cafeteria food» we were very excited anticipating a good meal. Jeffrey’s came up as a recommendation via the Internet and upon the exterior décor we were excited to see the menu. We ordered two appetizers to start with: fried green tomatoes and the hickory smoked salmon. On a scale 1 – 10(10 the highest) the salmon rated s 1 along with the tomatoes a close running for a scale of 3. I was Beyond disappointed and certainly will not be back. No entrees were ordered after the disappointing appetizers. The salmon was dry and of poor quality which was barely room temperature and not edible. The sauce for the salmon was not home made, rather store bought and there was no horse radish as advertised. The fried green tomatoes had a poor sauce bought from a local Harris Teeter low grade.

By the time I left this place I felt like a local… I grabbed a seat at the bar since I was alone and ordered the special pesto and mozzarella app. It came with marinara to dip it in, I could have eaten five of them, and not because they were small they were just that good. I went for the shaved rib eye sandwich which yes, just a sandwich but probably one of the best damn sandwiches I have had in a while! The bartender pored some pretty stiff drinks, well ok I was drinking a bone dry martini but she made it right and filled it to the rim. A few of the local patrons started chatting with me and by the time i finished my food and drink I ordered another to hang out and chat. Super friendly staff as well as patrons, conveniently located by a group of hotels so that’s a bonus for me since I travel. Looking forward to trying the filet next time since the lady next to me ordered it and literally said, you know you wish you got this and yes it’s that good. Lol. Looking forward to a return visit sometime

Breakthrough Training did a retreat at a nearby hotel so decided to visit. The Blackened Chicken Sandwich was one of the best I have ever tasted. Tried various other menu items that were oaky, but the the Blackened Chicken was a home-run!

Everything was delicious. The bread and butter was worthy of its own review — and I’m picky about bread. Shaved beef and the au jus were very tasty along with the sweet potato casserole. Wedge was also good — smaller than I expected but when the bill came I saw I actually got charged for the small one(didn’t realize there was a choice) which was perfect because I took half the sandwich and the casserole home Patio was great and service was top notch.

Are dinner here while on a business trip. It was across the street from where I stayed, so very convenient. I had the Azteca chicken which was a grilled chicken breast topped with pico de gallo all sitting on a bed of rice. It was garnished with broccoli. The dish was way more than I could eat. The waitress staff was fast and friendly. Clean restaurant. I recommend this place for lunch, brunch or dinner

Delicious meal, huge portions, nice ambiance, & friendly wait staff highlight Jeffrey’s. The pacing of the wait staff would have to be my only complaint. My parents & I came her for my mom’s 68th birthday dinner. My dad & I had never been. We walked right in(on a Saturday evening around 5:45) & got seated. We immediately were served water, but we waited a while before our waiter even came to greet us. When he did, he asked about other beverages, which we responded that water would be fine. He walked off. Why?! The time we waited after being seated, we had ample time to make our meal choices. Our waiter was nice & friendly, but just took too long in the beginning & end, while waiting for change. Our food was delicious. My parents each had steak, baked potato, asparagus & a salad. I had this huge plate of two fried flounder fillets, two giant shrimp, two scallops, fries, & slaw(see my pic). The batter was light & oh so tasty. Fries were perfectly cooked, too & the slaw was amazingly southern. Prices are pretty steep, but again, quality & quantity here, folks. Parking isn’t an issue.

Ordered the shrimp and grits to go, based on a recommendation from my client. For $ 20, I got 5 shrimp, some sausage, lots of peppers and onions and some bread. It satisfied my shrimp and grits craving, but I don’t know that it was worth $ 20.

Jeffrey’s is a locally owned restaurant serving brunch(Sundays), lunch and dinner. It’s nicely decorated — like upscale casual. You can really dress in any way, though most people tend to be casual or business casual. The food is pretty good. I would(and do) recommend it but it’s not my favorite restaurant. I can’t really put my finger on it, but it’s almost like everything is good, but expected. Nothing I’ve had to date really amazing, and I’ve been here a dozen times. I do occasionally go for lunch, and I really like their chicken salad — it’s sweet so get the dressing on the side. I’ve tried to get that for dinner(both dine in and to go) on a few occasions only to be told I can’t order that… It’s a salad! Silly if you ask me. The salad usually comes with fresh fruit, and it used to come with this yummy crumb cake like muffin, but the last few times it was just a dry bland muffin. Still, I will continue to order the salad. Though, it is not a place my husband and I ever go for dinner. Sure, we’ve tried it for dinner, but for the price there are so many better places with better food! Plus, it can get noisy… Still, it remains a top place I refer local business people to for lunch. I think that is(or should be) their niche. So, why do I give it 4-stars? Because objectively it’s a good place with good food. Just not my favorite. I hope this helps — if so, let me know by clicking«useful.»
