McCann’s Place

The place is almost the classic definition of a hole in the wall. It’s a run down trailer you walk into, with a double wide trailer as a seating area. The only difference is that hole in the wall places have great food. Mccann’s has your run of the mill almost all frozen food.
If that isn’t bland enough, their combo price for a burger, fry, and drink easily tops $ 10, usually more. The last couple times I went in there, they messed up my order and took 30 minutes to complete it. One time they completely forgot about my son’s order.
If there were more choices out there, i’m sure Mccann’s would have went out of business.
I heard great things about the place, which was a complete let down. Apparently, about six months ago, the restaurant was bought and the new owners have floundered and really lowered the quality of service and quality of food, as well as raised the prices.

Not many places around the area, but this place makes up for it. 4 of us all got different burgers and all enjoyed them. 1 got the pasta salad and 2 of us got the animal fries, and 1 got regular fries. I will say that if you are on a diet turn around and go home, but if you want a good fattening burger and fries that will clog your arteries when you smell them, give this little place a try.

I work a mile and a half down the road from this restaurant, on the corner of 152 and 150. I will have to say, that next to Quiznos (where I once worked), this place has amazing sub sandwiches. Everything is fresh and delicious. Everyone there remembers your name after coming in just two or three times, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.

McCann’s, let me say right off the bat, that if you like Joseph pull up to this tiny doublewide trailer in the middle of the country expecting a five star gourmet restaurant you will be very disappointed, because yes with the same hands they formed your burger with, placed the meat on your sandwich with and mixed the batter for your chocolate cake with, they also fished that pickle on your plate out of the jar. That said I have not yet gone in there and not seen them wash their hands at least once while preparing just my meal so, I’d say they keep them pretty clean.
This place is exactly what it looks like on the outside, a small family owned, hole-​n-​the-​wall burger joint and it is excellent at being such. The staff is super friendly, everything is made after you order it and everything comes out delicious. So for a good quick and friendly lunch or dinner time burger or sandwich and some delicious dessert or a custom milkshake, McCann’s is an excellent choice.
Four stars because I can find something I don’t like about any restaurant.
Everything on their menu doesn’t necessarily appeal to me. And they are 10 miles from my house. ;)

I had to write a update of this place especially after I get a threatening comment about «how they take it personal». What good restaurant would not? They say they cook everything fresh like those frozen fries and It would not surprise me if the salad is in a bag. I think I heard They MAKE THE SAUCES sure like the salad ones? I doubt it. And the pre breaded chicken nice choice.
I have been thinking McCann’s Place spells ACE OF CAN CANS. Did they make the salad dressing or open the jar. Next time I will come as a health inspector… After their excuse for sticking their finger in a pickle jar to «fish» out my pickle was they have a %100 health rating!
