Typical fried food but what dropped the rating on this restaurant is how bad the service is. If you don’t mind bad service this place is passable.

Decent. I had their chowder, it is creamy, but it is a bit small to be called a bowl. Price is ok.

We were traveling from Lafayette back to New Orleans and needed to stop for lunch. This place looked OK from the outside and we were starving so we gave it a chance. We ordered the shrimp and oyster po boy and a club sandwich on French bread. Both were solid. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were included with the sandwiches and were tasty. We got our food less than 10 minutes from ordering.

If your in the mood for some good Cajun style lunch plates or something from their menu, it’s sure to fill you up. They have no shortage of food. Lol they have a wide selection of menu items catering towards fried seafood and other Cajun favorites.

For Morgan City this place is pretty good. It is a little more pricey than you would think from how the place looks on the outside and the surrounding area. The fried gator was just ok. Really greasy. We had the seafood pasta and it was pretty good. The service was good as well. So all around not a bad place to go.

Great place, full of locals by 11:30 for lunch. Fried seafood as good as I’ve had, and outstanding eggplant fries. Platters on the expensive side for the area, but $ 8.99 plate lunch a good bet. Bread pudding was excellent, staff friendly, service very quick.

They have a fantastic oyster poboy, with crispy fries.
Casual atmosphere, perfect for lunch.

Just had lunch here, the service was great and everyone was friendly. Definitely a great place to have a good lunch. Prices may be a tad bit high for the area, but there aren’t really many other decent options.

I was here in Morgan City on business today. Me and 2 of my coworkers decided to check this place out today.
The waitress was certainly friendly and she told us to have a seat where ever we liked. We sat down and took a look at our menus. That is when the story takes a turn for the worst. As we looked at our we noticed that the prices here were entirely too high! In unison we said,“screw this” got up and walked out. This restaurant had prices on their menu that would be comparable to most restaurants in the french quarter. There is no way I am paying that much given the fact it is just a roadside country diner. I don’t know what the food tasted like because I never ordered any.
In Short friendly service but too pricey for this little town.

When you are looking for a restaurant in an oil town like Morgan City, you look for a place that has lots of white pickup trucks in the parking lot. The bosses of the oil companies drive white pickups so the more you see, the better the restaurant will be.
Such is true with this gem of a diner! The food was great! Shrimp and Roast Beef PoBoys were excellent, sweet potato fries were delicious, slaw very tasty and top it off with a first class waitress and quick service. We have had a couple of bum stops this week and it was refreshing to find such a great place in this rural, yet industrial setting. Go there, you won’t be disappointed!
