Tropical Smoothie Cafe

When they first opened there were so many customers. It was constantly full of people in the drive thru. Must be great then, right? I was wrong. After two visits I’ve never been back. First visit I had a strawberry banana smoothie with oats added. They didn’t blend the oats it was like they put oats inside, and stirred. Anytime I’ve gone to smoothie king, and added anything it was always smooth so I expected the same. Nope. Next time don’t add oats. Fine. Second visit I was hungry, and wanting something light so I went for a salad. I ordered a chicken caesar salad that took at least 15 – 20 before it was ready. There were no other customers in the building, and not many in the drive thru. Why was it taking so long?. I thought this was fast food? I got my salad, and a smoothie. I went home, and when i opened my salad I was shocked. I waited all that time for what appeared to be a side salad with a half handful of chicken with barely any dressing. The taste was awful. The lettuce had that poison taste like when you don’t wash grocery store lettuce. I ate the little chicken I had, and threw the rest away. Would I go back? No. I’d rather go to smoothie king.

Delicious, nutritious smoothies. I always make at least one stop here when I am in town. Talk about yum! Every smoothie I’ve tried here has been amazing. The food is excellent also. Such a nice departure from the less healthy options offered by other fast food restaurants. Make sure to stop by during the morning happy hour which offers ½ price smoothies!

Ya know, I drove by the place for years, and never ventured in. There is a Smoothie King near by, and I had been there. I really was not impressed. I kinda got the two confused, and unfortunately avoided this place for far to long! This is a gem in these here parts!
I figured that it was probably not whole fruits, and I had no idea that they had sandwiches. Not just sandwiches, but hip and healthy served with a happy smile sandwiches! The smoothies are really quite good to boot! One of my main choices for food in the immediate area now!
«Why did you only put 4 stars then!» you may ask. My reply is that they do not have sizes for their smoothies. They come in huge size only. The prices are very reasonable. The workers and the owners are friendly, and they make a real addition to town! Stop in and grub down!

I very much enjoyed my times visiting this place. The have great seasonal options besides their standard menu. My favorite is their play on the Greek gyro and the smoothies are very good. It’s always that fresh taste that keeps me coming back

One of the best and most refreshing places to eat in Morgan City. The food is fresh and always delicious. The smoothies are fantastic. I’m thoroughly impressed with this place. They also have a drive thru so if you’re hungry and on the good but still want good healthy food. This is the place.
