MRC is a store that actually enriches the community! My husband and I started running classes last year. I went from unable to run a half mile to doing a half marathon by the end of the year. They’ve made runners, but also a community. The store staff is knolwedgable and will give you an honest and informed opinion on the product. Make sure you sign up for rewards! You can’t redeem anything on you’re first purchase, but you will accumulate points and you can cash in once you’ve spent $ 250 (which is like 3 pairs of shoes!).

This place is the best for running shoes, gear, and groups! We were walking by a year and a half ago and they had a new couch to 5k group starting up and signed up. I could not run a half mile and three months later I was doing multiple 5ks! There are free group runs on different nights of the week and the store really works to create a community. While it is convenient to buy running gear there before or after a run, there is no pressure from the sales staff. All the staff are avid runners, so they can answer your questions and will tactfully tell you if they have had good or even bad experiences with a product and steer you to what might be a better (and sometimes cheaper!) option. Overall, the this a great store and great community!

Fantastic personal service from knowable folks — I’m just getting into running and decided I ought to have a proper pair of running shoes with a gait analysis — as it turns out it proved to be very insightful as to the right shoe and patterns I hadn’t quite noticed. The selection process was incredibly detailed (they have a lot in stock, including in my size, and I have larger feet) — and we found a great pair of running shoes that were (bonus) on sale! Highly recommended.

I am discovering the joy of running and my current shoes do not fit me well as I suffer from pins and needles after 30′ running.
I decided to step by this shop because I’ve heard they have a treadmill and film your way of running.
It was around 5.30pm and I was warmly welcomed by a woman. When I told her about my issue, she immediately told me my shoes might be too small. I should wear 0.5 or 1 size more than my regular size.
She had a look at my current running shoes (think to come with yours!) and came back with another. She asked me to wear those and if I have a good feeling, to jump onto the treadmill to give them a try at a comfortable speed. She filmed my feet and diagnosed me as a neutral runner.
Then she came back with 2 other pairs to try. The second pair was THE one ! Even though I hesitated with the first one.
She was really nice and attentive to my needs and issues. She wasn’t pushy and let me make my own choice.
I recommend this shop to anyone who wants to find the perfect running shoes.

Hopped on a treadmill to get my gait/​strike analyzed and came to the conclusion I’ve been using the wrong type of running shoe this whole time! So relieved to finally find a shoe that works. I feel confident with my purchase. Plus, with 50% off north face and nike items, I felt even luckier to stumble upon this place.

I prefer coming here rather than a large sporting goods store corporation. These people really know their stuff and most are runners themselves. They are consistently fantastic at helping me get new shoes for cross country and I love the new Brooks I just left with. My ankles no longer hurt when I run.

I’ve always had trouble with shin splints and have never gotten my needs addressed before like the way I had when I came to the running company. The manager (Ryan) that helped me explained in detail why I needed the type of shoe I purchased after he analyzed my stride, foot and muscle structure. He was able to provide me with quite a few options and I tested them out on the treadmill to make sure they felt good and fit properly. That afternoon, I wore my new shoes and was able to run about three miles with no lower leg pain or ache. I received thorough, personalized service and am now a loyal customer. Now I can look forward to more consistent training and hopefully a few races this year!

Very helpful and informative place to buy sneakers and running equipment. I had come to obtain insoles for my flat feet, so I needed a good pair of sneakers, which would work well with them. The staff brought out a few pairs that they recommended would work nicely with insoles. We then video taped me running in each pair on their in store treadmill. We were able to choose the pair that best kept me from rolling my ankles and would support better foot and leg strength.
You’ll pay a premium for good sneakers here, but I desperately needed them, so this review is all based on the great service.

Place to get serious help in selecting your running shoes. And boy, I needed it, since I had plantar fasciitis in my off/​plant foot and needed inserts.
