What an excellent place out in a small town. Highly recommend. Fantastic service super food and a very nice atmosphere

Had a delicious lunch here while visiting the area. It was one of the better meals we had. It had an upscale but thoroughly southern vibe & taste. I had the lunch special which was a grilled pimento cheese sandwich, tomato bisque, & a salad. My wife had the sirloin tip risotto. Both were delicious, if a touch on the pricy side, but it seemed like one of the better dining options in Mt Airy and they seemed to put an emphasis on fresh & local ingredients when available. I would gladly go back if I find myself back in the area sometime.

My husband and I went here during a weekend jaunt to Mt. Airy to get away for a bit. I was completely impressed. Trio was fantastic. The service was awesome, and the food was great. When you go to restaurants in small towns you never know quite what to expect, but this restaurant could definitely hold it’s own in a large city like Raleigh or Durham any day of the week. Next time I’m in that area I will definitely come back.

We are on a driving vacation and have stopped over night in Mt. Airy, NC. Our innkeeper recommended Trio for dinner and it was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly, prompt and professional. We drank a wonderful Merlot while my husband had a delicious bib lettuce salad with «home-​made» blue cheese dressing and I had the tasty shrimp spring rolls with an amazing soy based dipping sauce. For entrees, we both had tender steaks with bordelaise sauce. We each had a different but delectable side: au gratin potatoes and white truffle mac and cheese. In addition, we both had perfectly done asparagus!
We enjoyed listening to live music provided by Jerry Chapman who plays wonderful guitar and has a great voice. We bought some of his CDs to listen to on the rest of the trip!

Excellent as I knew it would be as the chef Chris is fantastic. I had the pork loin with bacon and leek crust and oh my it was good. My wife had the scallops and she said very good. We will go back sooner than later!
