So the night led us to Fritts’ Pub in the heart of Mt. Clemens, MI. We have been wanting to test this place for a while. This place is a hole in the building of sorts that has more going on inside than the façade lets on. The crowd was small but eclectic. There was a guy in a tux down from the scruffy dude in his construction attire, across from the girl straight from strip club, all being served by a black guy that talks like a white guy! I was in people watching heaven, the whole place seemed to just gel in the atmosphere! Just like the sister bar, Browns which we went to in August, everything was served disposable. Solo cups, foam plates, and plastic flatware. Perfect for us. The service was good considering there was one bartender server taking care of the whole place and there happened to be a birthday party going on. Fritts’ has seven burgers on the menu and the have daily $ 1 pbr’s. Like Browns, the patty’s are hand smashed ½lb Angus(black cows because they are the best meat and all the rage I guess!) Out of the seven we chose the western style and the Jalapeño. Jalapeño– sauteed jalapenos and onions and pepper jack cheese. The documented house favorite. Burger– 3.5 Price– 4 Service– 4 Overall– 3.75 The Western Style– BBQ sauce, Bacon, onion ring, and cheddar. Burger– 4.5 Price– 4 Service– 3.75 Overall– 3.9 At first glance there was an issue of where is the BBQ sauce. As it turns out it was a hidden gem under the cheese that made for an explosive tasty morsel. The décor was fitting for an eclectic pub, there was Red Dog sign on the wall and we were bummed to find that Red Dog was not on the beer list, but that’s cool because PBR was! Fritts’ and Brown both know their way round a burger and a good time. If you don’t check this place out you’re missing out for sure!

Located near the courthouse, this little gem has potential. I dropped in while on ury dity and got the pulled pork sandwich. Quite tastey and not overly sauced, so no worry about wearing back to court. Waitress was cheerful and friendly but was a little over worworked doing the bar as well. T he food was good I need go again and try one of those $ 5.00 specials!

Nice neighborhood bar in downtown Mount Clemens. Ordered a burger –n– fries meal the other day and it was cooked to perfection. Check out their Tuesday thru Sunday drink specials. Nice, friendly staff.
