Great place to enjoy a home cooked meal and possibly catch up on local news, if you wish. The service is very pleasant, polite and efficient. We don’t have many opportunities to visit My Jackson, but when in town, we’re having breakfast or lunch at Pixies Kafe.

Typical country food in a quaint atmosphere. If you want«home» cooking go here. The food and prices are good. I will say it’s better than the local Denny’s and the service is better too. It used to be called Kit’s and the food is definitely better now. Before that it was a fantastic coffee shop with a variety of food prepared by a chef. If you want country cooking that is very good definitely stop by Pixie’s. Oh and yes the owner really is called Pixie.

Charming plus really great food! Finished our perfectly cooked breakfast with a slice of homemade apple pie… as good as my momma used to bake!

We go camping fairly frequently just NW of New Market near Quicksburg. As we were rolling out to go home I pulled up Unilocal to find a down home country breakfast spot… BOOM found one. Waitress made us a fresh pot of coffee and took our order. Food delivery could be a bit faster but it is worth the wait and if you happen to show when its not busy then this would not be an issue. Most places know how to do eggs, its the home fries and sausage gravy that will make a breakfast spot stand out. The sausage patties are large and delish too. Lets just say grandpa would have approved of this joint before working all day on the farm.

Good olé country food. Reminds me of my Grammy Marie’s kitchen. Loved the charm, the food and the people.

We decided to try Pixie, s for lunch. It was a nice surprise. Cute little place and very welcoming. The BLT was just perfect and the ice tea fresh. We’ve bookmarked this since we pass Mt. Jackson quite often. Definitely worth getting off Rte. 81 for this little café.

Pixies kafe was a welcome change from your standard road food stops. Sometimes its worth going a little off the beaten path to find the real deal. In this case, it was only a couple miles from main thoroughfare highway 81. Pixie, if thats who she was, was really nice and friendly. The homemade vegetable beef soup alone was well worth the detour. Obviously its good wen the tables are packed with locals and pixies definitely draws them in.

I accidentally found this café while visiting my family. The food reminds me of eating in my grandmothers kitchen. The smells and atmosphere brings back those familiar homey memories. Every time I come to town I make this my go to place to eat. The sausage and sausage gravy are my favorite. If I didn’t know better I would swear my grandmother was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. The staff is always friendly and nice. With customer service sliding in so many other places it is refreshing to come to Pixie’s and be treated like you are one of the family! The value for the amount you pay is great. Pixie’s is only about a mile off of 81 in the historical and picturistic old town of Mt. Jackson. I highly recommend this café.

This location used to house a café named«Kitt’s Café.» I stopped in here for breakfast while exploring the local area. I ordered the Sausage Gravy over toast and coffee. The food came out — it had a good bit of sausage in it — but the wheat bread seemed really soft and mushy — like it had not been toasted. I think I prefer having my sausage gravy ladled over biscuits. Coffee was average. The service was good, folks here are friendly. They offer breakfast and lunch — besides the breakfast foods — they offer a variety of sandwiches and other American-style fare. Check it out if you are passing through Mount Jackson, VA.
