Definite 5 stars for sushi night on Tuesday. Sushi in Mount Vernon?! Yes! And it is delicious!

Small place, huge atmosphere. Food was fresh and really high quality. Don’t be deceived by the location, try it out! 10 beers on tap.

An awful service experience at WineStein. We were with a large party that made reservations well in advance. We were seated at 2 tables. Our drink orders were taken a bit slowly but noting out of the ordinary. We weren’t asked if we wanted appetizers until the drinks came, which was a long while after orders were placed. The server explained there was no bartender working so bar service was slow — this is a Wine Bar! We ordered appetizers. Some of them were served within 15 minutes, but 3 of 6 were not. No one came to check on us for another 10 minutes and then finally when we asked about our appetizers we were told they weren’t on the menu any longer and were asked if we wanted to chose another. We did and that finally came out 90 mins after we first sat down. Our dinner order never came and at the 2hr 15 minute mark, we left our table and looked for the manager to say we couldn’t stay til 10pm hoping to eat and they should cancel our order. We found the bartender complaining about diners who wanted good service with the kitchen backed up 30 mins. We found out why we didn’t see our server much, she was in the kitchen helping to cook! We told the bartender to cancel our dinner order and our server had said earlier that she wouldn’t charge us for appetizer due to the slowness of delivery. Our party did get charged for our appetizer and drink and their dinner wasn’t served until almost 3 hours after seating. Our server was very sweet, but clearly the management of this place is not interested in setting up their restaurant to serve customers. We will not take our business there again and will discourage others from doing so. Sad to see a little oasis in Mt Vernon doing so poorly.

Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Food was def above average for MTV. Nice to have a restaurant with a different flare! Great wine and beer selection. Will absolutely be back.

On my first visit, I had wine and cheesecake; both were delicious! The décor is tasteful and the music is not too loud, making this a good place to go if you want to chat as well as drink and eat. The menu looks fantastic. I can’t wait to go back and try their Kobe Beef Sliders or their flatbread pizzas. This is a wonderful addition to Mount Vernon’s dining scene.
