Wow, what an amazing find! Came in to check out the café as it is not far from where I am staying and am really glad I did. Not a real big menu but a good variety to satisfy most all tastes. Sandwiches, salads etc. I chose the«Hawaiian Plate which had a great little salad, poi, loamy tomatoes, rice and Kailua pork. Tucked in to all that was a mini dessert of pineapple chunks and lilikoi treat. Every bite was tasty and the owner Ashlin took my order and served also. She was very pleasant to talk to and also prices are really reasonable. Bottom line, I’ll be back!

Loved it! I my wife and I split the Aloha Plate and the Hawaiian Nachos. Very tender pork, everything was really good. Atmosphere was quiet and very relaxing. Highly Recommend!

This little café was the last thing I was expecting when driving the only main road in Big Island. The café is very zen! There was hardly any Island flavor, which is neither bad or good, it was just surprising. The young lady that rang me up for my grilled cheese was very friendly! She answered all my questions! Their grilled cheese was delicious and very satisfying! They used two kinds of cheese, one white and the other yellow. I did not ask what kind of cheeses they used but it was a yummy combination. There is about ¾ parking spots in the front and a parking lot in the rear. I recall no fries or chips in the menu. It would have been awesome to have a side with my sandwich but the grilled cheese was rich enough. Definitely try this place out! It is a nice little stop on a long day’s drive!

This was an excellent find. I had the sweet sausage ciabatta and my wife had the Mediterranean salad. Both excellent! Drinks were bubble tea(honeydew) and ginger beer. Both excellent, too. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

This place is great! We had the aloha plate and sausage chiabatti sandwich. Both were very good. I was a little sad my aloha plate didn’t come with haupia(as shown in the other reviewers pictures) but none the less, the cheesecake was good. We also ordered Thai tea, hot and cold. It was definitely good. Not too sweet nor under sweetened, cos not a lot of ppl can make good Thai tea. Service was also great! The lady is so nice :)

My wife and I stopped by this café on our way home from Hilo and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and cost of the food. I had the aloha plate, think healthy helpings of local favorites like fresh poi, rice ball, salad, lomi, pulled pork, fruit and small kine dessert. Perfect portion size. My wife had hawaiian nachos that were awesome as well. Good selection of teas, tried a new one for us, mamake, very refreshing indeed. Owner friendly and pleasant. For the tourist in ya there are a good selection of jams, butters, and honey from the local populace. We’ll be back and we hope that you will try it too!

Delicious food! My husband had a pastrami sandwich, and I had the Aloha plate(taster plate of pork, taro, poi, a little dessert, rice). Both came with a salad that had super-fresh delicious greens. Calming jazz music playing made for a relaxing atmosphere. I also had a mango-peach seltzer — very yummy. The only downside is a lack of a bathroom — go before you arrive.

First time to eat here. The owner was very kind and patient to explain the menu items. I had the Hawaiian nachos –so much flavor of the island with pork and other flavors on a bed of chips. My husband had the aloha plate — a taste of the Hawaiian foods. Although we didn’t care for some items overall we wanted the experience and felt it was a good representation. The salad was awesome and the pork was the same as on the nachos –great. We ended with the cheesecake with passion fruit glaze — excellent — very cheese creamy with lots of passion fruit glaze. My husband had a coconut steamer and thought it was the best he’s had — a lot of coconut flavor. So relaxing with great flavors.

Glad we stopped here for a bite. I had the aloha plate and Taro bubble tea. The plate was delicious! The kailua pork was tender and full of flavor. The sides were fresh and complimented the pork over bed of rice very nicely. The portion is perfect. You leave satisfied without feeling stuffed. The taro bubble tea was also excellent. Very pleased with the food and service. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have been here, and I couldn’t resist the temptation of the sausage ciabatta sandwich. Also if the Honeydew was as good as last time I can’t wait to try the mango bubble tea. This is an awesome relaxing stop before heading up to the volcanoe.

First time there today. My cousin told me it was an antique shop before. Met the owner and she was very polite and friendly. Her calm demeanor matched the atmosphere of the Café. We had the Haupia/Kulolo, the Aloha Plate, and Baked Potato Soup. It was delsih! I also had the Mango bubble drink. That too was very refreshing. I will definitely go back and try something else. Mahalo for the great food and wonderful service.

Sweet little café off volcano road. I got the Hawaiian nachos. It was topped with a large portion of Kalua pork and some amazing garlic aioli. I highly recommend. I also got some mango bubble tea. I have never had bubble tea before, but for my first time this didn’t disappoint. The owner is so sweet and took the time to explain the menu choices.
