These movers were the worst I’ve ever seen and I’ve moved a lot. Not only were they highly inept and slow, but their attitude was even worse. Below is a list of grievances I had written them along with detailed shots of what they had damaged. I was asking for compensation of $ 450 and they offered me $ 80. They also said they weren’t responsible for pressed wood. The armoire was an expensive piece I had bought from ZGallerie and the futon was a high-end one, so even if they were made of pressed wood, they were still expensive! Here was a list of all the terrible things they did: 1. Movers scratched a valuable artistic poster 2. Movers scratched the sofa/futon arm & broke off a piece of wood that is an intrical part of the moving mechanism that converts it from a sofa to bed. The thing broke off shortly after that and had to buy a new futon. 3. Movers broke off part of the armoire and didn’t apologize and in fact said it was no big deal and questioned if we even wanted a claim form 4. Plastic for mattress was not thick like I had specifically asked for and then the movers put holes in it and didn’t want to tape holes up after I asked them to 5. Movers worked 2 hrs over estimated time even with my husband and myself doing at least, if not more than, 25% of the moving ourselves 6. Movers did not work efficiently together because the lead did not explain where to go and what to do 7. Movers left things behind in the hallway that were supposed to go to storage, leaving my husband and myself to make extra trips to the storage area 8. Things were supposed to enter into the truck in a particular order because of the 2 stops and they forgot to put a big box for storage in first and left that in the hallway 9. Took 2.5 hours just wrapping up the bed 10. The lead used my personal tools instead of using his own without even asking me first if he could 11. The lead showed no concern and made insolent replies when questioned about moving pace/concerns over broken property PLEASEDONOTGOWITHTHESEGUYS. YOUWILLHATETHEEXPERIENCE!!!

I was referred to Partner Moving from a friend. She used them when she moved from San Francisco to the East Bay by herself. I was EXTREMELY pleased with their follow-through and follow-up. I was called the day prior, and asked to call back to make sure I’m aware of the message, etc. Then on the day of, I received 2 calls. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon about an hour before they got there. Our time was 1−3pm, and they got to our apartment at 2pm. They did a good job, they were very fast, and all of my things stayed in the same condition as before the move. I moved from Dublin/Pleasanton to Danville. I was very pleased at the very fair price for our move. If I ever move again, I’ll be sure to use Partner Moving!

This moving company was well priced, for a short move to SF, but, in the end, charged me near twice what they had originally quoted. Equally, some of my nice furniture ended up with damage. They dropped one of my Bose speakers(ruining it). The worst thing was, that my box full of small electronics(2 digital cameras, iPod, etc.), somehow disappeared during the move. The insurance policy only covered about 1 $ of cost of items, so not worth it. After they had my money, they were not too eager to resolve the issue. I would use another moving company…
